Job Fair
🧙 WHO: Anyone and everyone
⚔️️ WHAT: Job Fair, where business owners can try and recruit new people and new people can find jobs for themselves
🕒 WHEN: After the May Event/End of May
🗺️ WHERE: Camelot; An empty building next to Golden Silence
⚠️ WARNINGS: none I can think of
The building is a regular, empty building next to Azul's Golden Silence restaurant. It has been decorated stylishly and business owners have been adviced to set their own booths to promote their businesses. There are both otherworlders and natives around. How they have set up their booth has been completely up to themselves.
If people require a private place to discuss business/do interviews, Azul has kindly provided his restaurant's VIP rooms for such situations.
Azul has also provided the event with some refreshments. Ren has mostly been in charge of the advertisement and getting people to the venue (both business owners and potential new employees).
OOC: There are plenty of native employers here as well, offering jobs. Grocery stores, blacksmiths, restaurants, cafes... anything, really. All the business owners of otherworlders are encouraged to make their own Top Levels to scout some new employees!
Of course, general mingling in between employer/employee finding is encourages as well.

[if they were speaking in Japanese, "equivalent exchange" would definitely have been in English.]
Hand me your phone.
no subject
... Whoever thinks that has clearly not been exposed to his attempts to recruit people into an MLM. )
Tell me why.
( What exactly does he want with her phone that she isn't capable of doing herself? )
no subject
What, you don't trust me?
no subject
Not with that.
( With a truly bizarre amount of other things, yes. But not her phone. )

So fussy. [No, it's just common sense, dude.] Fine. It was gonna be this.
[Rei retrieves his own phone and navigates to Off Limits's webpage. Then he uses technomancy to toss up the screen hologram-style and places his phone flat on the table so the popped-up screen faces their passersby. Its visuals are limited by Kate's web design and choice of photos on the site, but it certainly serves as better advertisement than a simple paper taped to the front of the booth.]

Yeah, actually. But that's besides the point. )
... Fancy.
( There's a moment's pause, Kate catching her lower lip with one of her fangs as she weighs up the optinos, before she pulls her phone out of her pocket — let's not say anything about the flip phone she stashes back in there, what dark web user actually uses their main phone for that? — and calls up the website herself. )
Fine. I owe you.
( The phone is still staying in front of her while he does it, though. )

Can I get that in writing?
no subject
( Eyeroll. She does have paper, though, and a pen. And begins scribbling something on it.
90% of the paper is taken up by a crude sketch of a certain hand gesture, but if he looks in the corner, Rei will see the simple "IOU —kjg" that should suffice as written proof she said that. )

Nice doing-- [snrk]-- business with ya, Kate-chan.
wrap this up?
( She did not write that, but isn't reserve the right to say fuck off, or whatever, standard fare in contracts?
It also doesn't apply if she'd do it anyway, TBH. So make good use of it, old man. )
