The building is a regular, empty building next to Azul's Golden Silence restaurant. It has been decorated stylishly and business owners have been adviced to set their own booths to promote their businesses. There are both otherworlders and natives around. How they have set up their booth has been completely up to themselves.

If people require a private place to discuss business/do interviews, Azul has kindly provided his restaurant's VIP rooms for such situations.

Azul has also provided the event with some refreshments. Ren has mostly been in charge of the advertisement and getting people to the venue (both business owners and potential new employees).



OOC: There are plenty of native employers here as well, offering jobs. Grocery stores, blacksmiths, restaurants, cafes... anything, really. All the business owners of otherworlders are encouraged to make their own Top Levels to scout some new employees!

Of course, general mingling in between employer/employee finding is encourages as well.

Golden Silence

[Not only is he around to network and all of that, he is also hiring.

And basically everything but bouncer is hiring. Chefs, waitstaff, bartenders, bussers--if it's at a restaurant, it's open and he will be most interested in hiring otherworlders for now.]

[Sometime during the event, no doubt when Azul will least expect it, he will feel a weight slump against his back and two arms flop over each of his shoulders, before a very recognized voice whines,] I'm boooorrrreeeddddd. [Somehow Floyd seems to still balance the tray he has in his hand, several full glasses on it, all which look like they threaten to fall over from the sudden action, but somehow stay in place and resettle themselves on the tray after a few moments.]

[Azul does not ask how Floyd does anything he does, okay? He just sighs.]

You still need to be on hand to deliver drinks, Floyd. You agreed to this.

I knowwwww, [Floyd whines out before Azul will feel a pressure against his back and Floyd's voice more muffled this time, due from the fact of him face planting against Azul, his hat half falling onto Azul's shoulder.] It's so boring though! It's so long! [Then demanding,] I wanna cook tonight, not wait tables. [Since he would of course be heading to the restaurant after this was all over, there was always more shifts to do after all. However that is Floyd's claim right now, so more likely it's what he wants to do right now compared to later. Hopefully he will keep that mood for the evening shift though, and actually produce decent food too.]

Make this fun, Azul. [Still muffled, still sulking.]

If we need a chef, I'll put you in the kitchen. [Read: if this mood holds, you can cook.] If not, you can tend the bar.

Okayyy~! [Well that seemed to work. Bar work was fun too, he got to create all sorts of things that way and show off if someone wanted something extra fancy. Also it was less likely to have stuff set on fire or burnt. Less, not totally impossible.]

Hmmm, [Floyd hummed as he poked the finger of his free hand to Azul's cheek, however he does finally move to stop leaning on him during this, picking his hat back up to put back on his head.] I donno, you're the boss, ain't ya? You should know how to keep your employees happy. [A wide sly grin showing he's having fun using that title with Azul.] Or maybe I'll go sign up for another place. [They both know that is a hollow threat, there was no way Floyd would leave Azul.]

[It's hollow, but Azul will still respond to it because of course he will. He just rolls his eyes.]

Oh? Did you find another boss who will let you nap on shift?

["Let", he says, as if he ever has a choice.]

Maybe at the karaoke place, [Floyd joked, a hint of laughter to his tone as he said this.] I could sleep in one of the booths while they think it's a customer. [During this all Floyd is tilting his tray this way and that, purposely making the drinks slosh around in their glasses, but once again not spilling a drop from any of them. It's not like they were some super fancy drinks that had to stay in their layers or had decorations or anything like that to worry about.]

Ya get any bites on your hook? [Anyone new Floyd can bully look after for the restaurant?]

[Floyd, you show off.]

You'd get mad at all the noise and get fired within the day. [Just saying.] Possibly another chef, thankfully. The fewer shifts I have the cover, the more I can focus on expanding and changing things around and...establishing other businesses, maybe.

Ohh, so it's a restaurant, huh? ["Golden Silence" sounds kind of shady, and it looks kind of shady, too, but who he is to judge, really?] Well, whatever you need help with, sign me up. ♪ Though I would prefer to cook, if I can!

[Usually, people looking for jobs ask more questions, but Niki is a simple guy. As long as there's food, he can look past... well, just about anything and everything else.]

[Look. Azul is kind of shady, when left to his own devices. He also happens to like that aesthetic.]

Oh? Would you mind either sharing you credentials or be willing to schedule a showcase of your cooking talent? I have high standards, you see.

Sure, I can cook you anything you want! Or, well, as long as I've heard of it before. I don't really know anything about food from other worlds yet, outside of this place.

[He should really work on that, considering there's nothing better for him to do around here, but anyway!]

I was raised by a professional chef, so I've been cooking for as long as I can remember. I've done everything from cooking to cleaning at restaurants, but cooking's the thing I'm best at! If I wasn't an idol, it would be all I ever do!

I see! We had similar childhoods, then. [Azul pulls out the menu he brought with him in case anyone had any questions and hands it over.] Do these dishes look familiar?

[Niki glances at the menu and nods almost immediately.]

Oh, yeah, this is easy! I could do any of these, no problem. [He'd be able to manage even if he didn't know it, but familiarity is a plus! He's totally got this.] What've you got a taste for? As long as you've got the ingredients, I can hook you up with anything. ♪

Well, clearly we specialize in seafood, so...if I let you into my kitchen, do you think you could make the cioppino?

You got it, sir! [He gives a playful wink.] Mmm, my mouth is watering already! It's been a while since I last got to work with some nicer ingredients.

[Not that ES wasn't nice or anything, but this was definitely a step up, especially compared to what he usually had. He's excited to see what the kitchen is like, too... What a nerd.]

Oh, my name's Niki, by the way! Niki Shiina, at your service. ♪

[Azul flags down one of his workers to man this table for a while so he can show Niki to the kitchen for this demonstration.]

Azul Ashengrotto, but I'm sure you knew that. You mentioned being an idol?

[Don't mind Baldr just... slipping up behind him without a word, yoinking his hat, and settling it on his own head with a grin.

[He poses with the hat for a moment more... and then actually hands it back, apparently pleased by that answer.]

Of course, I would say you wear it the best out of the three of us, in all honesty.

Flattery won't get anyone more days off, Baldr, just so we're clear. I could be convinced to give raises, however.
