Speed Dating & Friendshipping

WHAT'S UP?

Speed Dating & Frienshipping is a (player-run) Valentine's Event hosted by Ren Jinguji and Camus at Shining Karaoke, located in Camelot.

During both of these events, participants talk to all other participants. Everyone is given five minutes to ask questions before they bell rings and you move onto the next person.

The tables all have cards that include simple questions if someone is stuck on what to ask. Here are some examples of what kind of questions there might be. Of course Speed Frienshipping won't have any "shippy" questions or ones that could be implied as such.

Everyone is free to make Top Levels for their characters for before and after the events themselves for mingling, singing karaoke or anything! World's your oyster and so on.

Hello.

[Ah, a puppy approaches a calm looking girl with a question, that's actually going to make Mikasa talk?? Like, sure, she can talk, but most of the time she's quiet but then there are questions like these to change that! Favorite fairytale? Mikasa thinks about that for a moment, it's been a long time since she heard or read any of them.]

It could be one of those... [Some true love fairytales are great, she likes The Frog Prince and some others.] But it's actually The Elves and the Shoemaker.

[A beat. She glances at him if he's ever even heard of it but ah, yeah, he asked Mikasa to tell about it, right? Hmm, well okay, it's been a really long time from the years, when her mother used to tell that fairytale among some others to her, but it's not like she's forgotten it.]

It's a tale about a shoemaker and his wife, who are hardworking but poor. One evening they go to sleep after running out of leather for shoes. When they wake up in the morning, they find a pair of shoes and someone buys it from them with a very good price. The same happens on the next day too. Then the couple decides to find out, who's helping them... So they stay up, hide and to their surprise, they see two quickly working elves making shoes and then those elves run away after completely finishing another pair of shoes for them.

[And what happens after that? Well, give her a moment to drink a little from her strawberry ice tea before she'll continue if he wants to hear the rest too!]

And then!?

[ If he had a tail it'd be wagging. He's on the edge of his seat! ]

[... Yup, Taichi sure reminds Mikasa of a puppy especially because she has two dogs and they may not be tiny puppies anymore but that's when she got them.]

They sleep through the rest of the night and the next morning his wife gets an idea. They should show their appreciation and gratefulness to the elves, who have made them wealthy but those elves are running around with nothing on and it's winter, so they must be freezing. She makes clothes for them and the shoemaker makes a pair of shoes for each of them.

They work hard all day until all of them are finished, they leave them into a place, where the little elves could easily find their gifts and then they hide again. The elves arrive at night and the couple sees they're delightedly trying on their new clothes and shoes... And then the elves dance out of the house and they never return but the shoemaker's business becomes prosperous and he never runs out of leather again.

Or in some variations the elves never leave and they work together, but the rest of the end result is the same either way.

[ . . . aaaand, yeah, that's it. And now when she's not telling a story / fairytale, she . . . is not sure what to say. So she'll just brush some fingers through her hair.]
