WHAT'S UP?

Speed Dating & Frienshipping is a (player-run) Valentine's Event hosted by Ren Jinguji and Camus at Shining Karaoke, located in Camelot.

During both of these events, participants talk to all other participants. Everyone is given five minutes to ask questions before they bell rings and you move onto the next person.

The tables all have cards that include simple questions if someone is stuck on what to ask. Here are some examples of what kind of questions there might be. Of course Speed Frienshipping won't have any "shippy" questions or ones that could be implied as such.

Everyone is free to make Top Levels for their characters for before and after the events themselves for mingling, singing karaoke or anything! World's your oyster and so on.

I didn't plan for you two getting back at me like this, y'know. [ she huffs a laugh, and there's no helping the fondness in her tone. ]

[ well, if babe wants to play it that way... kotone grins, eyes sparkling with mischief. ]

Oh, me too. A few minutes alone with Kirijo Mitsuru, face to face? Who could ever be this lucky? This made the whole night worth it.

[kirijo]

[ That ...

[ That may have gained Kotone a bit of momentum in this little verbal sparring match. Mitsuru doesn't blush, but she does glance downward as a bit of warmth robs her grin of its teasing edge. ]

You could have accomplished that without the intermediary steps.

[ of course, it hadn't actually been the plan, but she's happy to tease mitsuru in return now that they find themselves here. ]

Aww, there's no fun in that. We might as well stay home on the couch, if that's all it's about. Soooo.

[ kotone leans forward, grinning. ]

Come here often?

[ Even as Mitsuru's smile inches wider, she can't help but shake her head. ]

I do not. [ She leans back in her seat, adopting a more casual, conversational posture. ] In fact, I've never been in this particular establishment before.

[ Not that Kotone hasn't tried to remedy that in the past, of course ... ]

Oh, a night of firsts! Good for you. [ kotone settles back herself, her smile remaining. ]

Did you come here alone? I don't want to get on anyone's bad side if I shoot my shot. [ she's too deep in the bit now. this is where you've placed your affections, mitsuru. ]

[ ... For better and worse ... ]

Attending was actually my girlfriend's idea.

[ Mitsuru feels a little bit silly playing along - "committing to the bit" as it were - but Kotone seemed to be enjoying herself so she could keep it up for a little while, at least. ]

[ she flashes a good-natured grimace and snaps her fingers. ]

Damn, must've missed my chance. Guess I'll back off. [ her mouth settles into a fond smile. ] Sounds like a really lucky girl, though! Bet she's super fun and cool, if she likes this place.

[kirijo]

[ Mitsuru doesn't even attempt to resist the urge to roll her eyes. A second later, though ... ]

She is.

[ The wry undercurrent to her words and her smile melt away completely. ]

Speaking frankly, I'd consider myself the lucky one.

[ kotone's smile softens even further. she can't quite stop herself from reaching across the table for mitsuru's hand. the bit is out the window. ]

But... thanks. And I'm glad.

No thanks are necessary, darling.

[ Mitsuru slides her hand forward to meet Kotone's in the center of the table.

[ After a second or two: ]

I'm somewhat disappointed, though. I was hoping that making such a confession would let me fluster you for once.

Sorry! Cool as ice here, nothing gets me. [ a gigantic lie. she grins. ] But... I do love it when you get all romantic, babe. It's really cute.
