Speed Dating & Friendshipping

WHAT'S UP?

Speed Dating & Frienshipping is a (player-run) Valentine's Event hosted by Ren Jinguji and Camus at Shining Karaoke, located in Camelot.

During both of these events, participants talk to all other participants. Everyone is given five minutes to ask questions before they bell rings and you move onto the next person.

The tables all have cards that include simple questions if someone is stuck on what to ask. Here are some examples of what kind of questions there might be. Of course Speed Frienshipping won't have any "shippy" questions or ones that could be implied as such.

Everyone is free to make Top Levels for their characters for before and after the events themselves for mingling, singing karaoke or anything! World's your oyster and so on.

I found my place and the purpose of my powers... so I remained where I was needed the most. I didn't move very far away from where I grew up in, so I do visit as often as I can.

[She smiles fondly at the thought of home.]

I just did, didn't I? [Though he stays quiet, amusement colors his voice with a particularly rich tone when he's feeling it.] How about, what are you doing here? What got you to come here, I mean.

Oh... I suppose you did. [Elsa chuckles. She's still very new to this sort of thing so she's not really so sure what counts as a turn or a question.]

Well... I suppose curiosity? I've never had romantic feelings for anyone so I want to take a chance to see if I could spark those feelings.

[Not that she was super actively looking for a partner... but she wouldn't mind that either.]

[Ah, that makes sense. As he understands human attractiveness, she wouldn't have problems with people approaching her, but not finding anyone to reciprocate is very understandable.]

[Her question makes him frown slightly.]

Someone signed me up for this. I have my guesses as to who, but I don't know. Some people have been... encouraging me very strongly to get out and meet people.

Well, this is a good way to meet people. There is the potential for romantic approach, but it's not necessary, at least. Unless you're looking for that?

There are more than a few problems with that. You can probably see one or two.

[Namely the species. He's the only Warmblood here, and although some other people might come close, they're few and far between -- and mostly gone.]

If you mean 'species' ... I don't see how that's a problem if you really like someone as a person?

Maybe, but I don't think anyone's first thought is to cross that line when there are plenty of better and more conventional options open. And like I said, that's just one problem.

It's not that big a deal, honestly... I was never going to have any romance anyway, I've got other priorities. But for your own sake... you have to get used to people disappearing. Friends, of course, and if you ever find someone you like...
