WHAT'S UP?

Speed Dating & Frienshipping is a (player-run) Valentine's Event hosted by Ren Jinguji and Camus at Shining Karaoke, located in Camelot.

During both of these events, participants talk to all other participants. Everyone is given five minutes to ask questions before they bell rings and you move onto the next person.

The tables all have cards that include simple questions if someone is stuck on what to ask. Here are some examples of what kind of questions there might be. Of course Speed Frienshipping won't have any "shippy" questions or ones that could be implied as such.

Everyone is free to make Top Levels for their characters for before and after the events themselves for mingling, singing karaoke or anything! World's your oyster and so on.

[though perhaps his laugh turns a touch nervous with Hayat's glare - though that may simply be how the bird looks, Linneus can hardly judge for that. Bisou, on the other hand is quite happy to hang about Iskandar - far more forward around people that Linn likes, though she comes to settle on the back of his wrist as he leans his chin on his hands]

It-- I should explain first - I was in a different different world before this one. Sex was a terribly big part of everything; enforced often by the city and most relationships... they tended to skew that way, because of it. [meeting his eyes a moment] I say this not out of any... expectation, but because if I didn't, it would feel as if I had lied.

But the actual circumstances of our meeting were more innocent, I promise you. It was a sort of a.... a haunted house?

A haunted house, hm? That sounds entertaining.

[And the kind of thing that would scare his former Master witless, had he been tagging along. Though Iskandar's rarely one to beat around the bush, so he'll just come out and ask--]

Were you and I intimate after that encounter, then?

I'd never encountered one before - but it was all in good fun. And it let me meet some wonderful people.

[the next question-- Linneus might find it too direct from anyone else. But from Iskandar it softens his smile a little bit, and he nods]

Yes.

[of course he would ask.]

Well, you are pretty! With or without the coercion of a strange city, it is easy to see why I would take an interest in you. Of course, I am happy to simply resume our friendship, as well.

[Two years is a long time to know someone, after all, and he realises for him to have no memories of that could both complicate and simplify matters. He'll leave that up to Linneus on how to proceed, whatever his feelings are on the matter.]

There is another who claims to know me from another world to this one, as well, and I have been glad to make friends with him.

[dipping his head slightly at the compliment]

...I'm not sure what I expected. But I would like to resume a friendship too - or begin one? Not that it was not well-built before, but I... I do welcome the opportunity to move a little more slowly.

[the quick establishing of a rapport - leading to sex - was something he had needed to be practiced at, as a courtesan; and the last world had not been particularly encouraging, either, of him taking his time.]

Was it Gokudera? [his smile brightening just to talk of the other boy - he can't imagine who else it might be] We shared a home together. I met him not so long after I met you, as a matter of fact...

Yes, it was him. I didn't realise the two of you were familiar! Then perhaps the three of us were meant to reunite here, even though my recollection is lacking.

[He leans forward in his seat with an eager grin.] Did you know he is training to improve his skills as a wrestler? I have vowed to challenge him one day, so he is working hard to improve before that time comes.

Perhaps so. But it is good to see your face, whether that be fate or destiny or otherwise...!

I confess I had not heard this! He has always been a capable fighter, though, so I am not necessarily surprised. Though he did worry me so sometimes, with his explosives...!

[...that may indeed be why Gokudera hadn't yet brought it up, now Linneus thinks of it]

Explosives? He had not mentioned those to me.

[But he'd already surmised Gokudera hadn't been entirely honest with him, so it's not surprising, either.]

If he loses to me, I will make him join my cause. His boss as well! So to hear he has knowledge of explosives makes me want his skills even more.

[with a little chuckle-]

Perhaps I should not have...! He may have been holding on to that information to give himself an advantage.

Though I worry how explosives will help you advance your cause?

Having such an expert would be greatly useful in my conquests, of course. When I was alive, I never had such an asset in my army. I must adapt to modern means of warfare!

[He looks excited. Surely he's going to pester Gokudera about it the next opportunity he gets.]

[oh heavens, he does hope it was not meant to be a secret...]

...but what is it you intend to be conquering here?

First Camelot, then the whole island. The city belonging to the King of Knights would be a fine prize.

[He grins.] Still! Arthur has shown me hospitality and generosity, so I will not forget that. However, if I find his kingship wanting, I will tell him to surrender his throne to me, or else I will seize it.

[And yes, he has no problem just admitting this out in public at a friendship dating event.]
