Speed Dating & Friendshipping

WHAT'S UP?

Speed Dating & Frienshipping is a (player-run) Valentine's Event hosted by Ren Jinguji and Camus at Shining Karaoke, located in Camelot.

During both of these events, participants talk to all other participants. Everyone is given five minutes to ask questions before they bell rings and you move onto the next person.

The tables all have cards that include simple questions if someone is stuck on what to ask. Here are some examples of what kind of questions there might be. Of course Speed Frienshipping won't have any "shippy" questions or ones that could be implied as such.

Everyone is free to make Top Levels for their characters for before and after the events themselves for mingling, singing karaoke or anything! World's your oyster and so on.

[Shadow's sense of humour is weird, like has anyone made him laugh ever kind of weird.]

The puns are... Unique, miss.

[But sadly not enough to make him even crack a smile.]

[ It was so sad... Thankfully, she only looked mildly disappointed. ]

They're puny, I guess. [She couldn't help it.] And you can call me Monika.

A pleasure then, Monika. [Oh right, his own name and he's going to offer her a hand for shaking as he gives his name.] I'm Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog.

[ Shadow... That was such an hedgy name. But she kept that one for herself. ]

That's a pleasure meeting you, Shadow! [A smile.] So anyway, what is your best joke?

[A joke of his own? He stops himself from just outright saying he doesn't do jokes, because he can just hear in the back of his head one pink hedgehog telling him to at least make an effort here, and will come up with something.]

A hedgehog walks into a bar. [A beat.] Ouch.

[Never said it had to be a good joke after all.]

[ That? Is Monika staring at him with confusion. Wow. What a bad joke. It didn't even qualify as a joke. She managed to force a smile, one filled with pity for the poor humorless hedgehog. ]

I-I see... [Aha..ah...] Well we can't all be, um, good at everything, right?

I don't do jokes.

[He finally says, and hey at least Monika is capable of faking a smile. Unlike grumpy here.]

Then... Why was your first question for me to do a joke?

[Just going to hold up the card with the pre-written question on it.]

It was on the card.

[The fact he has to use a pre-written suggestion should be clue enough that Shadow is way out of his element here.]

[ Gosh, he was giving her difficulties keeping the conversation going. Well, there was the obvious question to finish this exchange: ]

You really don't want to be here, huh?

If I didn't want to be here I wouldn't be here.

[He says this in a tone of voice that says that he would do something serious to do that if that was the situation.]

Like I said, it's a challenge. I don't back down from those.
