Speed Dating & Friendshipping

WHAT'S UP?

Speed Dating & Frienshipping is a (player-run) Valentine's Event hosted by Ren Jinguji and Camus at Shining Karaoke, located in Camelot.

During both of these events, participants talk to all other participants. Everyone is given five minutes to ask questions before they bell rings and you move onto the next person.

The tables all have cards that include simple questions if someone is stuck on what to ask. Here are some examples of what kind of questions there might be. Of course Speed Frienshipping won't have any "shippy" questions or ones that could be implied as such.

Everyone is free to make Top Levels for their characters for before and after the events themselves for mingling, singing karaoke or anything! World's your oyster and so on.

What is a Food Soul? And where is the Light Kingdom?

Food Souls are... summoned to aid humans in killing Fallen Angels. They discovered us after the God of Beginnings fell into slumber.

( Egg, don't make this weirder. )

The Light Kingdom is a kingdom on Tierra, our planet. It borders Nevras and the Knowles continent.

I don't fully understand, but...

[Fallen Angels??? God of Beginnings? He has a feeling trying to unpack all these terms will just invite yet more questions, so he simply continues:]

I am also a being who was once summoned to aid a mage. A Heroic Spirit. [Not that he likes to admit it.] However, my Master never wronged me as yours did.

( oh so many questions. we haven't even talked about the elves yet and a whole retconned war.

the term Heroic Spirit gets Egg's head tipping, rattling the words around in his brain until he decides it simply means what it says, much like food soul. this man is a spirit who is heroic? or a hero's spirit?

does that mean people in this man's world can summon the dead? )

What was your master like?

At first, he was a whiny brat! We quarrelled often, but he was no coward. Even when the war made his heart dance in fear, he would ride into battle with me. There is no worthier Master than that.

[He smiles; it was fun, even if they ultimately didn't win.]

Later, he relinquished his role as Master, and instead pledged his allegiance to me.

( huh. that couldn't sound more different from Xuan Wu if this man had tried. while so much of the details of Century Egg's life before the tomb have been lost to time, the impression of his Master Attendant remains — proud, fierce and wholly assured of his own capability and right to rule. )

You became friends? ( it sounds that way. much like Red Wine, this man is filled with fondness for the Master he had.

Indeed, we did. And because of that, I told him to abandon that pointless war, and survive to live his life. I am told he is still following those orders to this day.

[At least, if what Gray said is true, and he has no reason to doubt her.]

Tell me something... If your own master returned here, would you swear your loyalty to him again? After the cruelty he inflicted upon you?

( survive his life... that's all Century Egg wanted, but he was never given the option. he doesn't dispute his master's significance, or the greatness of what he achieved, but...

Century Egg's expression collapses into a frown. if his master returned... )

I... don't know. The contract might... still be in order. ( he's not sure, though. humans don't usually come back on Tierra, and so there's no real way to tell if the break they feel when their masters die is a permanent severing of the contract or not.

he assumes it is, but. ) If it is, I... would have to follow him.
