Speed Dating & Friendshipping

WHAT'S UP?

Speed Dating & Frienshipping is a (player-run) Valentine's Event hosted by Ren Jinguji and Camus at Shining Karaoke, located in Camelot.

During both of these events, participants talk to all other participants. Everyone is given five minutes to ask questions before they bell rings and you move onto the next person.

The tables all have cards that include simple questions if someone is stuck on what to ask. Here are some examples of what kind of questions there might be. Of course Speed Frienshipping won't have any "shippy" questions or ones that could be implied as such.

Everyone is free to make Top Levels for their characters for before and after the events themselves for mingling, singing karaoke or anything! World's your oyster and so on.

Well hey, loyal friends are important! The world can never have enough of them!

[ you are THIS close to being adopted, young lady. ]

It's kind of a long story, but basically, I flew my first plane when I was about ten years old... but it was because the actual pilots had jumped out and it looked like we were about to crash into the sea. But I grabbed the controls, and in that moment, I was filled with more adrenaline than I even knew my body could handle! It was the coolest day of my life! And as I got us on that beach safe and sound, I knew it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my days!

[ She listens to Della's tale and it certainly is an interesting story.]

You were only ten years old? And you landed a plane all by yourself? That's incredible.

[ In the same situation, Chrome wouldn't know what to do. She definitely wouldn't be confident enough to jump into the pilot's seat as Della did. Though sometimes people can do incredible things when the situation calls for them to take action.]

Is there a certain type of plane you like to fly?

Oh, you bet there is. The family plane, the one I've mastered flying, and it's where I take my boys all around the world...

[ Big dramatic arm wave, as if holding up the very name itself! ]

The Cloudslayer? That's a fitting name. Did you think of it yourself?

[There's something that Della says before that piques her interest.]

And you're a mom?

[Chrome seems to be asking Della all the questions, but that suits her just fine. She finds her very interesting.]

[ Della will feel bad later, honestly! But she can't help but babble about herself. She's amazing. ]

A-huh! Triplet ten year old boys! Huey, Dewey, and Louie! And they're the cutest, smartest, bravest, most amazing kids ever! And they get into way more trouble than I ever dreamed of!

[ Chrome smiles, it's nice to see mothers who love and adore their children. She can't really say the same about her own mother, but she's never hated her for it.]

Triplets...? They must be a handful, but it seems you encourage that.

[She laughs a little at Della's unique wording. It seems like she doesn't discourage them from getting up into trouble. It seems like a good sort of trouble.]

Of course! All kids should get into trouble while they can! It's one of the best ways to learn - so they can't get into the same trouble twice. And each one is their own unique kind of trouble.

Dewey needs all the attention all the time, Huey is the self-proclaimed "duke of making a mess", and Louie is the most masterful schemer this world's ever seen.

[Chrome tilts her head to the side, well Della does speak the truth and it makes sense to allow her boys to get in trouble, so they can learn from it.]

...They all sound really charming.

[Chrome means that as a compliment wholeheartedly since she's used to rambunctious boys, but they're much older than Della's boys.]

You seem to be pretty understanding and accept your kids for who they are, you sound like a great mom. But isn't it hard to juggle your career and your family?

Well, luckily for me, my career is my family - it's pretty much my job to take them anywhere and everywhere! Because we're a family of adventurers!

[ Truthfully Della doesn't have a "real" job, but, hey, not important, right. ]

A family of adventurers? That sounds like a lot of fun and no wonder your boys are so curious.

[It's nice to hear her family being so close, Chrome has no idea what that's like. However, her found family would probably do something similar.]

Does your family go on adventures because of monetary gain or just for the thrill of it? Maybe both?

Both! But it also depends on who you're asking... some members of my family definitely prefer money over adventure.

[ But it's with a little laugh, no ill will. She loves all her little weirdos. ]

It helps that my uncle is the richest duck in the world!

So you have a rich uncle? That does help. So money isn't really an issue when you go on these expeditions?

[It must be nice and carefree. Although, she's sure being an adventurer/pilot comes with a level of danger.]

What was the most dangerous mission you took part in?

[ Della pauses at that first bit, uncertain if she wants to tell her new friend about how her incredibly rich uncle can also be incredibly cheap... ]

Well, that's hard to say! Not all danger is the same or equal! One day you're fighting off a genie's magic that's creating forces to make you stay in its will, another day you're racing against the clock to escape a tree that's growing so fast before it crushes you to death...
