1. G(lacial)-Warriors 🗡️ (Knight quest)

A quest is just what he needs to take his mind off the plethora of revelations to come from his day of forced slumber - and what better way than to go out and hit something until it falls to pieces? He takes his gunblade, his horse, and the provisions provided by Camelot to all knights embarking on this particular journey. In typical fashion, he does not bother to ask around and see if anyone would like to join him. No, he wants the time to himself to sort out his thoughts.

Yet nothing is ever that easy, is it? He's ambushed by one of the I.C.E. constructs as he nears the spot. His horse rears up in alarm, throwing him from the saddle before bolting into the trees. Emet-Selch lands with a painful thud into a bank of snow. Fortunately, the gunblade strapped to his back seems in order. Unfortunately, the ICE is advancing on him and he's having trouble getting out of the snow.

2. Serve, Save, Slave, Slay...Some Sushi 🗡️

The sushi monster is no easier to slay than the I.C.E. as Emet-Selch discovers much to his chagrin. What does a man have to do to get some relatively simple knight quests??

The...creature(?) fires a round of pellets at him which has him diving into a rolls to avoid. He comes up into a crouch just in time to parry one of the sharp green swords it wields, quickly getting his feet beneath him before the second can slice him in half. He's been at it for a few minutes by now, focus utterly consumed by the opponent before him. He's growing tired though and the thing still doesn't look like it plans to give up.

"Ridiculous thing," he seethes. "And me, reduced to using these inferior magicks... I should have asked Irhya for a greatsword instead of a gunblade."

He fires off a round and its ricochet echoes throughout the forest. Even if the sound doesn't draw attention, the eerie blue after-image of the shot is worth attention.

3. I See You, Opening! 🛡️

Well of course, Emet-Selch doesn't want anything to do with these tricksy arrows and their dubious effects. But other people may have no such qualms. Perhaps you want to see this sour-looking man pour his heart out to one of his associates. Or perhaps you want to make him suffer by tasting nothing but chocolate for two weeks. Anything goes. Really. Anything.

If shooting: Please nominate which arrow you're shooting him with. I'm happy to write custom starters if you want.

If encountering him after he's been shot: Please nominate which effect you want for him. Again, I can write a custom starter if that's preferred.

[Moguo is up for meeting new people just like Zidane. Speaking of him, he'll set the towel on Emet's clothes until he's ready to come out.]

I was running deliveries when I saw him. And yeah, it was me, but I didn't know who on his list to contact. I just saw he put four people at the top of his contact list. I would hope he contacts friends more than any enemies.

[ Even if she's internally panicking about Emet-Selch catching her here, she's still- very distracted by Moguo, who she's going to try and reach out to pet. Fluffy...

But her ears flick in surprise when she hears what he says. Her mouth opens in surprise, before she closes it and looks away, trying not to chuckle. ]

I see.

[ Oh, Emet-Selch. ]

Aye, we're friends. Been so for a while. Though not that kind of friend. [ She winks at Zidane. ] A moment.

[ And- with her green magic, she'll erect (haha) a slightly higher wall of bushes. Not that high, just enough to block the view of him from anyone walking past, and give him some privacy. ]

That looks better.

[tantailizing]

[And Moguo permits the pets! Huzzah!]

[Zidane smiles. And when she says a moment, he waits and watches as she raises a higher wall of bushes. Oh yeah, he'll appreciate that much... maybe.]

Well, at least you'll know his other friends so if he needs that help, you can reach out to them... or maybe even tell them you got things handled and meet up at his place.

[Then they could take over his care whatever it might end up entailing.]

Think they'll come by like I did, once they get the message.

[ She gently rubs Moguo, making little cooing sounds, before releasing the fluffy, and she turns and reaches out to give Zidane a little hair ruffle, before reaching into her bag and giving him what looks like a vial with a warming potion in it. ]

Give this to him to have after he comes out. It'll warm him up. And you-

[ She grins cheekily. ]

Keep up the mischief. I'll be off.

[ Look, she's fine with giving her friends some shit, and goodness knows, Emet-Selch needs that at times. ]

[tantailizing]

Oh yeah, I think they will too.

[He wonders if it had been too ominous. Meanwhile, Moguo is having a good time and only 'kupo's so sadly when she stops petting. Zidane's eyes widen a bit and his tail stops its usual sway at his own headpat. He hasn't gotten something like that for a while now...]

[He takes the potion with a blink, but nods. And then smirks.]

You got it! Enjoy the rest of your day~

[Now if only they knew who would be showing up after her...]
