[Semi-Open] - Sent into battle to aid strangers in need
đ§ WHO: Belgium and YOU
âď¸ď¸ WHAT: Knight Quest
đ WHEN: Around the Start of January
đşď¸ WHERE: Starting in Camelot, the rest is in the village in danger
â ď¸ WARNINGS: Violence, action and so on. A note: Most of the prompts, save one, or going to be semi-open only for those participating in the quest itself. So fellow knights, and those that tagged along, as well as those who wanted to tag along with Belgium.
I â Getting Ready [Open]
Belgium could be spotted throughout the city of Camelot as she readied herself for her journey, and for what she would need for the task at hand. The mount she was given to her as a knight by her side, looking at her lion familiar with⌠well more than just a little bit of worry.
Thatâs a really big cat!
Said lion didnât really seem to pay any mind to the archaeopteryx. Instead, he just strutted along next to Belgium all regal like. Sheâd been doing her best to keep her prep-work on the down low. Or at least as much as she possibly could. Even more so after her network announcement. Just get in and get out. That was all there was to it. That said, she was currently wearing the uniform she arrived with, as opposed to her usual dresses, or more masculine or laid-back clothes.
Currently people can find her at the following locations:
-At, or around, her apartment.
-Trappist cafĂŠ, giving instructions to her employees and managers and bidding everyone a heartfelt goodbye.
-Around and near Camelot castle, at the armory, the training grounds
Feel free to say goodbye for now, wish her luck, ask to tag along, or anything else.
II â Making Plans [Semi-Open]
Most of everything revolved around planning, especially in terms of forming a makeshift fighting force. How would they be supplied, organized, who was to be trained and do the training? What was needed and what wasnât? All of which was currently fluttering around in her mind.
âHm⌠âIn preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.ââ It was said idly without much thought given to it, something pulled from memory as she walked next to her fellow knights and those they brought along. [Semi-Open]
III â Training [Semi-Open]
Right, the real meat and potatoes of why they were here. Helping to teach the locals to fend for themselves. There was only so many of the representatives here, after all. And Camelotâs security forces⌠well, they were here. At the moment she was working the group she was assigned to through drills. Teaching them to march together, to shoot a bow, fight with a knife, and most importantly, to keep your distance while fighting on the move.
Sheâd gone through lengths to employ the local hungers and frontiersmen for that very thing.
âHm, I think theyâre starting to come along well.â She mentioned, looking over the small group, each dressed in rather drab colors, the only armor they had being cloth and leather. Anything else would potentially slow them down. If they were to be the scouts and skirmishers, they needed to move with as much steam as they could muster. They needed to move, and they needed to be able to hide.
âAt least theyâre starting to get faster and more accurate.â Shooting crossbows and other projectiles that is. It still felt like they needed⌠more though. Like they could be doing even more for them.
But time was running out.
IV - Skirmishers ready [Semi-Open]
Right, it was time! The scouts had done their job. Relaying what information, they were able to figure out, while also harassing the oncoming orcs, the troops had dug their defenses and traps. Theyâd placed a few of their skirmishing troops up in their makeshift towers and roofs. While another handful sat in front of what counted as their main line. Belgium was among those, still dressed in her modern uniform. They had done what they could, and she was proud of that. Slowly whittling down and breaking their enemy bit by bit. Weakening them until they most likely lost a good deal of what they once had.
She hoped it would be enough here, as she could see a few shapes start to appear. Whatever surprise the orcs had been wanting to achieve had already been lost well before they showed up. The light infantry had done their jobs.
âI hope youâre readyâŚ.â
V â Allâs well that Ends Well [Semi-Open]
She had more than her fair share bruises, cuts and scrapes, a gash across her forehead, bloodied knuckles and more than a few scuffs. But her smile powered through whatever injuries she took on as she finished her head count of the militia that had been under her charge.
There were injured and there were the shaken⌠but there were no losses. No bodies, as it should be for them, as should be expected. Belgium couldnât be any more proud.
By the end of it all though, she was still tired. And when everyone was dismissed⌠she found a nice spot off to the side to just⌠sit down next to her lion, who was still finishing up cleaning his fur and mane, before closing her eyes.
The fight was won, and now it was time to relax and heal herself. Preferably away from others who might worry.
She could really go for some waffles right now.
[ooc: Just a quick actiony-post for the knight quest! If you donât see anything you like here then let me know and feel free to make your own prompt, or even assumptions! I also have my ooc post here as well. So feel free to hit that up with whatever as well~!]

[For Maribelle]
So!
Why not spend some time with the other girl before she has to head on out? It might help take her mind off a few things and relax. She carried a box full of goodies as she knocked on the door. Wearing a simple, green dress for the occasion. She'd sent a message ahead, letting Maribelle know she was coming, so hopefully she was still there? Oh goodness, what I she arrived to early... or to late?
Belgium has found herself fretting more and more recently! No, just focus on the little tea date, BelgiĂŤ!]

Maribelle was all smiles as she opened the door, going on bent knee for a half second like a sort-of-curtsy to welcome her companion. ]
Thank you so much for coming, Belgium. Please, come and make yourself at home.
no subject
Well no matter! Belgium gives a dip of her own return, along an even wider smile. Maribelle was as polite and courteous as ever! Spending time with her was always a nice breath of fresh air.]
Thank you for having me.
[She goes ahead with that invite. Walking on inside and beside her host.]
I hope you enjoy the treats I brought along.

[ Her end includes the table and chairs - with lace and cushions - and on the top is not only a very fancy tea set, but all the fixings people may like with their tea. Honey, sugar, milk, cream... the room is also sparkling clean. No dust bunnies survive here!
Her familiar, a beautiful white bird, is sitting by the window, also curtsying politely. ]

Green eyes give an appreciate look at the table set up along with that sparkling, clean household! Goodness, when Maribelle sets her mind to something she really goes all out! That or it was also part of something else. Anyway, she goes ahead and sets the box down, before opening it up and revealing the delicious pastries inside!]
It smells wonderful, just like how immaculate everything looks.
[It must have taken her a bit to set this all up!]
The tea set looks superb and table... it's adorable!
no subject
[ She then goes to take the elaborate looking tea pot so she can begin to pour into each cup. Belgium is free to sit and add whatever she likes whenever she pleases. ]
Before I came to this world, I learned from the best steward possible - Sir Frederick. He serves our lord Sir Chrom and Lady Lissa directly, and has done so impeccably for years. While I have enjoyed many a good cup for years, it was under his tutelage that I understood what truly goes into it.

[Goodness the last time she had teatime everything hadn't been quite this immaculate. Then again it also tended to be more relaxed and centered around cafes now adays. Which was fine... still! She goes ahead and has a seat next to Maribelle, carefully arranging the treats on the table to help keep up the careful appearance she quite clearly took the time to create.]
Hm, he must have been quite a good teacher and a person with really refined tastes.
[Yes, let's all take the time to praise Frederick please.]
no subject
[ and he doesn't afraid of anything!!! "Pick a god and pray".
Maribelle at last takes her seat. ]
What do you like with your tea? Honey, sugar, cream...?
[ And Belgium better not lift a finger! Maribelle will serve it! ]
no subject
[Sir Frederick, the mother of the group. Sir Frederick the true mvp of the group....]
Oh, a little bit of honey to start with. I wouldn't mind enjoying the selection you chose by itself first.
[Look she can't make too many promises here! She's still in business Belgium mode!]
no subject
Would you care to guess my favorite addition when it comes to tea?
no subject
[Hm... Maribelle's favorite addition to tea. She seems to like sweet things, but not overly. Oh dear, Maribelle just what sort of scheme do you have planned here!?]
Hm... cream?
no subject
[ Oh, this is so much fun! ]
no subject
[Goodness Maribelle! Who's teasing who now!? But hm... something Maribelle enjoys with her tea.]
...Hm, crumpets?
no subject
[ She smiles, waiting to set the trap... ]
no subject
Then... then...! Sugar? It's gotta be sugar, right?
no subject
What I find to be the finest addition to any tea...
... Is the blood of a freshly killed bear.
no subject
[Was she joking? Maribelle can be really scary when she wants to be! But this was a joke... it had to be a joke. Right? Anri blinks sand goes from semi-surprised before letting out a chuckle, followed by a giggle and then a full laugh.]
Pff... hahaha! The blood of a freshly killed bear? I wouldn't have guessed that in... well ever!
no subject
Maribelle chuckles, lifting a cup and sipping before replying. ]
If a cultured lady cannot tell a good jape every once in a while, she's no more entertaining than a blank painting.
no subject
Maribelle lucked out. With another giggle she goes ahead and takes a sip of her own.]
Oh I don't know, I've met quite a few people who think blank paintings are exquisite.
no subject

[A sip followed by another giggle~.]
The kind of playful that would hunt down a mighty bear to enjoy with tea.

no subject
I wouldn't say it's impossible, but just not something a lady like myself would go through the trouble of.
no subject
I suppose a true lady never slays her own teatime bear. Hm, but who do you think would do a good job of hunting one?
no subject
no subject
[She has a feeling that Maribelle isn't joking here.]
I mean, bear is probably an acquired taste, I'm sure.

[She takes another sip of her tea with a small sigh before nibbling on a cookie.]
To be honest, I think I would take your tea over bear blood any day.
