[It's been a hell of a year, or close enough to it, for Ochako and her many friends here. From the varying trials and tribulations of general quests, to the more perilous missions between kingdoms, to new beginnings and changing tides...it's all a path forward on the long road of life. Despite the difficulties, Ochako's been able to reflect on this past year and finally find herself a bit - a new title and a new, but still somewhat the same, purpose in this world. Something given, something earned (even if she doesn't really see it that way, yet), but still very much hers.

Lady Uraraka (hrrgh...it'll never feel normal, yikes) is throwing a bit of a holiday celebration at her small castle to celebrate the coming and going of a full year. Not only that, but also Christmas prior, and even her birthday as well! All friends she knows, and anyone those friends care to invite, are welcome!! They'll be guided to a decently sized ballroom where several tables have been set up for people to relax and eat, and a separate table for gift giving and gift receiving as well!



What, you thought you'd come to this celebration and leave empty-handed? Pshaw.]

She did tell me a bit about that once before. I hope everything goes well!

[That makes a lot more sense to Izuku the more he hears about it. He knows about Aurora being raised by fairies and maybe that's just a common thing for that type. Who is he to judge? As shocking as it seems Izuku isn't going to judge and he truly is happy for Gokudera, Zuko and Aurora.]

Ahh, are you going to be alright? Maybe we should get you some water before you fall or trip...

[Wobbly drunk friend is bad. Maybe he should help him deal with that before he falls on his face. Although he does shoot a glance at a very sleepy-looking Katsuki from across the room who probably won't dance with Izuku either.]

[He gives a little sigh, though. It’s telling. Something is clearly wrong, but it’s not really anyone’s problem but his own.]

Yeah. I’m not dancing, so I’ll be fine.

[Gokudera does not miss the way his friend glances at Bakugou.]

Aurora would happily dance with you if you ask her. I think she’d be flattered!

Eh- N-no, it's alright...! I think I'll be okay. I- She's very nice.

[It's really no secret how Izuku's cheeks go pink a little bit? Not because he likes her like that or anything- no- she's just really pretty and nice and he can appreciate that!

We should get you some water, ne? You look ... Are you okay?

[Well? A little worried??]

[Gokudera won’t say anything about that blush. He isn’t looking to accuse Midoriya of appreciating Aurora as if that were a bad thing. She should be appreciated.]

Yeah. Maybe.

[He’s lost in thought, then blinks and his attention is more fully focused on his friend.]

Ah... No offense, Gokudera-san. You look like there's something that's not really going- so far so good...?

[He's just a concerned friend!]

[He looks at Midoriya, frowning and confused. The only thing he can think of that might not be good is just that he’s a bit clingy.

Aside from that-]

I get the feeling I’m gonna screw it all up, Greenie…

[He has already spoken with Hikaru, Zuko’s closest friend. Was told that he shouldn’t be with either of them. It’s hard not to take the words of someone so close to their throuple to heart.

No matter what, he can’t screw this up.]

[He gets that part, though. Being a little... uh. Clingy.]

Ahh... I think that's a normal feeling to have.

[Izuku looks down for a moment. Trying to relate to this because he actually really does.]

I get worried about that sort of thing too. If things are going to last, what it'll look like in the future or if things will go back to how they used to be... But giving our best and enjoying what we have is important, ne?

[You can't always be sure. But the effort is worth it.]

[If Midoriya has had enough people get close to him, only to leave (usually just because of irl ooc stuff getting in the way), Gokudera would hope that him being clingy is relatable. He looks relieved to hear the other boy tell him that he thinks it’s normal.

Gokudera doesn’t think he’s going to hurt either of them, but… he worries.]

I should do everything I can to make them happy while I’m with them.

[Never mind what might make Gokudera happy. That clearly does not matter to him. It never really has.]

[Izuku does tilt his head just slightly and very gently asks,]

Do they make you happy too, Gokudera-san?

[There’s just that sense of dread looming, like he’ll end up alone. So he needs to do as much as he can with them before then.]

I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy. So… it’s not familiar, y’know?

[Gokudera gives a chuckle and scratches the back of his neck.]

[Izuku reaches out to pat his arm in encouragement. If he wants to make them happy and he's happy in return?]

I don't think you have anything to worry about, ne.

[He smiles! Go, friend! Go!]

I think you should enjoy everything about it.

[He will find something to worry about. Always has, and always will.]

You’re right, Midoriya…

[Gokudera still has a distant, worried expression, but there’s a softness to his eyes, a tip up at the corner of his mouth in a tentative smile. Yeah. He really should get back to enjoying himself.]

[As a perpetual worrier himself, Izuku knows where it's coming from. So... He still tries to be encouraging. Izuku nods again with a happy expression.]

Other than that, have you been having a good time so far?

[He still looks a little tipsy!]

[He’s not even drank enough yet. The party will go on! Thankfully, the worries get washed away with the alcohol. Maybe when they return, they won’t be so loud.]
