[It's been a hell of a year, or close enough to it, for Ochako and her many friends here. From the varying trials and tribulations of general quests, to the more perilous missions between kingdoms, to new beginnings and changing tides...it's all a path forward on the long road of life. Despite the difficulties, Ochako's been able to reflect on this past year and finally find herself a bit - a new title and a new, but still somewhat the same, purpose in this world. Something given, something earned (even if she doesn't really see it that way, yet), but still very much hers.

Lady Uraraka (hrrgh...it'll never feel normal, yikes) is throwing a bit of a holiday celebration at her small castle to celebrate the coming and going of a full year. Not only that, but also Christmas prior, and even her birthday as well! All friends she knows, and anyone those friends care to invite, are welcome!! They'll be guided to a decently sized ballroom where several tables have been set up for people to relax and eat, and a separate table for gift giving and gift receiving as well!

What, you thought you'd come to this celebration and leave empty-handed? Pshaw.]

A pleasure, Tsuna. [She gestured to her excited boyfriend, who was practically a puppy all over again, frantically wagging tail and all.]

I imagine Hayato would see it achieved if that is what you so desired.

[Tsuna gives a nervous laugh. It's really not something he's been working towards.]

Yeah, I know he would. But honestly, I'm fine just being plain Tsuna.

[Gokudera’s smiling bright, face flushed, eager around his boss as always.]

He’s always so modest…

[The silver haired teen admits with a fond sigh, and takes one of Aurora’s hands.]

There’s nothing plain about you, Tenth! Don’t be ridiculous.

Hmm, the both of you are. [She gave his hand a squeeze as she looked between the two of them.]

I can already find something rather incredible about you, Tsuna, and we've only just met. You inspire such deep loyalty in Hayato, you can not be as plain as you insist.

[Tsuna has a bit of a hard time seeing it within himself, but he still nods in thanks.]

Well, he is my best friend. I don't know what I'd do without him.

[He gives a gentle shrug. It can’t be helped, really. Most all of their group is comprised of humble teenagers. There are some exceptions, but they aren’t here at the moment, and so irrelevant.

Gokudera isn’t expecting his boss to chime in with recognition, and he’s blushing and turning a bit bashful.]

Aww… thanks, Tenth. You’re my best friend, too!

[He squeezes Aurora’s hand in return and nods in agreement with her.]

He isn’t. Boss has a very strong will. I don’t think it’d be wrong to say that he inspires a lot of people around him.

I have always been curious, if I may, Tsuna. What exactly, are you the Tenth of? Are there 9 Tsuna's before you? Or is it more you are the tenth leader?

[Aurora has no idea Gokudera and Tsuna are in the mafia, even if she did, she has no idea what that even IS.]

What is it you inspire people to do?

[Tsuna takes a sharp inhale, a little taken aback by the question. And how does he even explain. He can't just say he's the heir to a mafia empire, he doesn't even want to be the heir to a mafia empire. And he's just kind of accepted that that's what Gokudera's going to call him, one way or another.]

Ahaha...no, there's not nine of me. It's...it's the leader thing. I'm the tenth leader of my school's sumo team.

[Sure. That works. Consistency. Keep the lie going. Even if it's held together with duct tape and cardboard.]

I don't know about inspiring anyone but my friends are very important to me. I'd do anything to protect them.

[Gokudera has to bite his lips together hard and look away to hide the fact that he knows Aurora has no idea what the mafia is, so also probably doesn’t know what Sumo is. It’s so funny and awkward and the situation is so tense for him because he also has neglected to tell his boss that he’s dating Aurora.

He wants to laugh and jump out of a window at the same time.]

Ah- he comes from a very strong and influential family. S-Sumo is a sport, Rose. You have to knock an opponent out of a ring, but in our world it’s different. We’ve got powers and… it’s all very strange. It’s easiest to say the Tenth is in charge of some very powerful people, and is… also powerful, but it’s not always something people notice.

[There! That’s… still a lie, but still supportive!]

[She sees the sharp inhale and glances at Gokudera biting his lip. Had she misspoken? She looks between the two of them and offers a smile, trying to ease the situation.]

Oh! Something like jousting then but instead of off a horse, it is out of a ring? [It's the only sport Aurora has context for in a "pushing someone" kind of way. She tilted her head.]

That is very impressive, Tsuna. Power need not always be might and fists. Sometimes the most unassuming-looking people can be the most powerful. [Her aunts immediately came to mind.]

Closer to wrestling than jousting, but yeah. You're trying to knock someone down or get them out of the ring.

[He breath a small sigh of relief that she's accepting the lie and not trying to poke too many holes in it.]

But isn't that the truth, ahaha...

[Though, he's not thinking of himself in this scenario, but rather his tutor, Reborn.]

[It’s just not good to lie. He should probably tell her in private about the ‘sumo club’ cover story they’ve been using to hide that they’re mafia. Gokudera honestly just doesn’t want to tell her about it here. There’s still a lot for them to learn about each other.

He’s quiet, listening to the conversation, content to follow Tsuna’s lead.]

Tenth, I’m actually ah- courting Aurora. Along with Zuko, she may… know more about the sumo club than most people…

[Trying to drop that they shouldn’t be lying while still keeping up with the lie since there are heroes around.]

[Aurora doesn't actually like being lied to, after everything, she deeply dislikes it. But she has no reason to assume Tsuna would be lying to her to even begin with or why Gokudera would follow along with it otherwise. So she has no idea. She tilted her head and smiled.]

We are, yes, Hayato, Zuko, and I are all courting one another. Although, it has come to my attention such a thing is apparently not very common.

Hiiee...Zuko to?

[All thoughts of the Sumo team story are put to the side at this moment. This is a lot to take in and it's hard for him to make sense of it. Being a sixteen year old boy who's really only had crushes and minimal success in conveying his feelings to the girl he likes. Which is still embarrassing to even think about.

But his friend's happiness comes before his confusion.]

Uh...no, not really. I don't think. But, if you're all happy, then it shouldn't be a problem, right?

[Gokudera would only assume she dislikes being lied to. Most people do. He’s tried to explain the mafia and the Tenth to her, but maybe he should explain the whole reasoning behind them referring to the Vongola as a ‘sumo club.’

He’s blushing as Aurora explains it in the simplest terms.]

Yeah…

[He doesn’t sound as though he’s embarrassed, but that talking relationships with his boss feels a bit odd. Because so often, the Tenth has so much of his attention. Giving some of it to other people is… well it’s been something he’s had to struggle adjusting to for many years at this point.]

That's right, the three of us.

And I am certainly happy. [She looked over to Gokudera.] I do not presume to speak for Hayato and Zuko but I'd like to think they are as well.
