[It's been a hell of a year, or close enough to it, for Ochako and her many friends here. From the varying trials and tribulations of general quests, to the more perilous missions between kingdoms, to new beginnings and changing tides...it's all a path forward on the long road of life. Despite the difficulties, Ochako's been able to reflect on this past year and finally find herself a bit - a new title and a new, but still somewhat the same, purpose in this world. Something given, something earned (even if she doesn't really see it that way, yet), but still very much hers.

Lady Uraraka (hrrgh...it'll never feel normal, yikes) is throwing a bit of a holiday celebration at her small castle to celebrate the coming and going of a full year. Not only that, but also Christmas prior, and even her birthday as well! All friends she knows, and anyone those friends care to invite, are welcome!! They'll be guided to a decently sized ballroom where several tables have been set up for people to relax and eat, and a separate table for gift giving and gift receiving as well!

What, you thought you'd come to this celebration and leave empty-handed? Pshaw.]

[He feels like he's melting a little, cheeks warmer, as he lets the blond lean on him. He really does look tired...]

It's good to get together and spend time with everyone like this. At least for a little while... Thanks for coming, Kacchan.

[He drops his cheek to Katsuki's hair.]

... It's okay if we sit here just the two of us for a while...

[ His voice always starts to get rough the closer he is to becoming too tired to function. Already his eyelids are starting to slide down.

It better be okay if they just sit here because Katsuki isn't going anywhere. ]

Cheeks woulda harassed me for days.

[He might smile just a bit. Going to chance this call out-]

Ah... So you did it for Uraraka-san too?

[That's good! He's happy to hear it.]

[ Uh oh. Katsuki immediately bristles. ]

No! I did not!

[ Yeah. He sort of did. But - ]

Okay so I did. Only so she wouldn't bother me later!

[ Entirely selfish reasons, you see! ]

[Uh huh. He totally believes Katsuki. Not.

He smiles.]

I'm sure she won't bother you for a while now.

[aka. Thank you...!! It's really making Izuku happy to hear, she was probably so happy to see them both.]

[ Don't smile at him. Katsuki puts a hand on Izuku's face. Can't blow him up but he can shove him. Katsuki knows what's going on in that stupid brain. ]

Ain't no one gonna bother me for a while.

[ Don't you dare make him socialize again for some time! ]

Achaaa--

[He makes a noise then pushes at Katsuki to stop pushing his face but not hard enough to shove him off his shoulder or anything.]

F-fine, Kacchan- you can hibernate for a while after tonight...!

[Even if he kind of wants to do fortunes for new years?? Maybe it won't happen in a world like this...]

[ It's not even a hard shove. More like a baby shove. There's literally no strength in it. Kitten shove. ]

Thank fuck. Don't wanna socialize for like. Three months at least.

[ Okay so it's not like indefinitely. That's kind of progress there isn't it? Fortunes don't count though. He'll do those. ]

I'm not sure you can avoid it for that long, Kacchan.

[But he seems a little amused at this sleepy Katsuki. He leans against him gently and mutters as he closes his eyes for a second.]

[ And he means that. Katsuki is totally going to do his best to avoid too many social interactions. Yet he also knows that this isn't going to really work out that great. It's like this place has a thing for forcing people together.

Still, that's something for future Bakugou to worry about. This one is content where he is. ]

[It's almost surreal to be sitting down tucked away at a Christmas party like this with Katsuki. The two of them getting along as well as they seem these days. Katsuki isn't even fighting him on this stuff. Maybe he's just that sleepy. Either way, this is kind of really nice??]

Ne, Kacchan...! Do you have any wishes for the new year?

[ Getting along. This is... A much better position than the one that they were in this time last year. They weren't even on speaking terms, were they? It's a bit hard to remember, other than Katsuki had been struggling with a lot of complicated emotions that he hadn't been sure of.

But now here they are. Katsuki is leaning against Izuku. Head on a shoulder. Maybe even a hand slipping into the other teen's. ]

Wishes?

[ He... Hasn't given it much thought? But if he's to say anything - ]

To succeed.

[It'll be almost a full year spent in this world for them soon. He never thought that he would find himself in the position. Having come this far to be able to feel his lips smile when Katsuki just so sleepily holds his hand. He would have panicked ages ago. Never would have believed it. Probably would have thought Katsuki was going to body toss him or something--]

Ah!

[He looks down, cheeks a little red.]

Do you mean with something specific?

[ His eyes are still closed though. So all Izuku might catch a glimpse of is dark lashes against cheeks. Or the rise and fall of his chest. ]

Yeah and no. Something specific, yeah, but also just. In everything.

[He glances down at Katsuki. Don't fall asleep right here on his shoulder...]

That's not very specific at all.

[A small soft chuckle.]

[ Yeah he might at this rate, honestly. It's getting hard to keep focus. Even his head is sliding off of that shoulder a little. Might end up in Izuku's lap if not careful. ]

It is... Gotta bring you...

[ And now the speech is being slurred. ]

[Katsuki is really falling asleep. He can tell by that slipping slur of speech and he looks down with a small moment of surprise before he settles quietly. Maybe Katsuki can close his eyes for a little while.

But what he mutters makes Izuku pause for a second before he looks up at the ceiling and smiles slightly. With the same sort of little worry in his eyes that he tries to blink away.]

I know. You'll succeed in that, Kacchan. Even if we don't remember or I don't know. You'll be able to do it.

[He might not know what's ahead of him but... If Katsuki...]

[ Mmm. He's going to succeed. Bakugou will bring Izuku back with the help of everyone else. Or without. It all depends on them. Katsuki's mind is made up at least.

But yeah. He is drift off. ]

[There he goes... Izuku can tell that Katsuki's breathing is starting to slow as he falls asleep. Okay. He'll just sit here. Like a post for Katsuki to nap on...

But he's ... He's smiling anyway. That sure ache is in his chest about his future, the one that he doesn't know- It's fine that Katsuki knows... And he believes in him.

For the next little while, he'll just let his arm fall asleep for Katsuki to nap. It's fine.]
