It helps that Monika is really cute and pretty, and that Minako therefore wouldn't mind kissing her in general.. but it feels even more important if this sort of first kiss could be a safeguard. If Monika really would keep it as a nice memory in her heart, then Minako hopes it can counter later situations where someone might do something bad to her.
