☆ Stay Artsy!

[It turns out, there is something Kazunari can do in regards to current events and influx of refugees. Kaika Theater has been opening its doors to the children of refugees recently, as a free daycare. The kids can partake in an array of activities and one such activity is art with Kazunari!

Inspired by his recent art therapy session with Tsumugi and with the weather being as crummy as it's been, Kazunari can't think of a better way for the kids to direct their energy between their acting classes indoors.

Tables are lined up, covered in a layer of cheap kraft paper (to hopefully catch most of the mess) and there are plenty of paints, brushes, sponges and other fun painting utensils to go around. For those that want to get into the Halloween spirit, there are supplies to make kid friendly decorations. There is also glitter. There is so much glitter.]

☆ [While the majority of the painting is to be done at the tables, Kazunari has also set up a huge canvas across the floor. He's just asking for chaos when he dips his hands in paint and then lays them on the canvas.]

It's time for a collab, fam!!

☆ [Or maybe you really just want to sit down at a table and paint out your feelings. That's cool, too.]

☆ [One of the Halloween stations is for making paper ghosts and foam gravestones. They're made out of those foam boards that are easy to push patterns and writing into and then they can be painted.

Kazunari is making some terribly punny stones such as: Emma Goner and Bone Voyage!]

[This art event isn't limited to just the kids, though: anyone in Camelot is free to come by and have some fun.]



☆ Make it Spooky

[Halloween is drawing ever closer which means it's time to go all out with decorating. Kazunari has already decked out his room at the inn with as much as he can fit in it so now it's time to move on to Kaika Theater.]

☆ The majority of his efforts are going towards the outside of the theater. Ghosts hanging from the trees, gravestones tucked carefully carefully in the flower beds, spiders skittering up the door frame - all of the classics! If you can think of it, it's there or in his bag of goodies to be added.

☆ Inside, Kazunari is stringing up black and orange bunting as well as posting the silhouettes of bats and ghosts and ghouls (including ones made by the kids!) in the windows.

[Regardless of where he is, there will be a point where he climbs down from his ladder after placing some spiderwebs and admires his work.]

Hypeeee!! This is looking so legit!!!

Make it Spooky

[ He can't take it... Taichi can't take it anymore!

He's supposed to be doing theater owner duties, but there's only so long he can hear Kazunari decorating without wanting to get involved.

And so, Taichi comes out blasting music on his phone and wearing a onesie. ]

Kazu-kuuuun! Let me help!

[ HE CAN'T LET ONLY ONE PUPPY DECORATE HALLOWEEN!! ;O; ]

[Just like a puppy, Kazunari perks at Taichi's grand entrance.]

Yeeaaah!! Taicchan in the house! [The energy of him rattle the ladder he's sat upon. So he climbs right down. When he's down, he can open his bag of treasures for Taichi to rifle through, too.] Totes! Two hands are better than one!

I was thinkin' about hanging some cheesecloth ghosts next!

[ Taichi perks at Kazunari's perking. They definitely feed off of each others' energy. ]

Can I help!? Hehe I can heal your arms if you get tired from lifting ghosts!

[ Kazunari's a little taller, so he'll probably be the better hanger... ]

[True. Taichi and ladders seems like a bad combination anyway. But...]

Awww, that's no fun for you though! There's gotta be something... [Time to dig. And letsee... there are some bones and zombie hands that could be added to the garden beds: Kazunari pulls those out. Then his hand hits something he kind of forgot he even bought.

Two cans of "Cobweb in a Can." Essentially silly string.

You know what that means.]

[ Taichi's eyes grow wide with excitement. ]

Yeah! And there's no Sakyo-nii to bust us!

[ which is sad but NO ONE CAN YELl AT HIM FOR NOT DOING OWNER BoSS WORK. He holds out his hands for one of the cans. ]

We're gonna have webs everywhere! Is two cans enough!?

[Hey, all bosses deserve a break from boss work and that includes Taichi! Kazunari tosses him one of the cans.]

Only one way to find out!

[Let the cobwebbening commence!

...Of course, there's only so much actual decorating Kazunari can do before he is compelled to use the silly string for evil. He ducks out of Taichi's view for a moment before reappearing behind a corner and promptly spraying a short burst at his puppy pal.]

[arf]

[ Taichi screams dramatically when he's sprayed, falling to the floor as if he's hurt. ]

Uhg...

[ It's a trap, of course. If Kazunari comes to help him, he's gonna spray him right back in an ambush!! ]

[ Ritsuka has chosen to make paper ghosts, though she's been mostly focus on decorating them to resemble something like this. She's not the best artist, but neither is she the worst: it's certainly recognizable as a skeleton, even if there's not the right number of bones or anything like that.

Right now, she's working on a larger one, which she has gone a little more out on--this in progress. ]

[Kazunari isn't trying to peak (he knows it's hard to create when someone's looking over your shoulder, after all) but he happens to glance over at Ritsuka's paper ghosts and - ]

Whoa! Those are fire! I've never seen skelly bones done like this. Super cool!

[fujimaru]

[ Ritsuka jumps a little at suddenly being addressed; she also doesn't startle easily, but sometimes you get into the zone and forget there are people around you. Her pen skids over the paper, leaving a smudge, and she blinks at it for a second before she laughs. ]

--Yeah, uh, this is... you could say I was inspired by a friend of mine. She's got a real... [ think fast, Ritsuka! ] gothic aesthetic going on.

[Kazunari winces. Oof. The smudge can be turned into a happy accident, though. Definitely.]

Ooh ~ Man, I've always been a little jelly of folks who can pull off the goth aesthetic. It seems so fun and then you come up with stuff like - this!! [He motions at Ritsuka's drawing again, nearly sparkling. Sooooo cool!!!] I can only get away with it around this time of year.

[Ha ha, bonk.]

I can't pull it off either, to be honest. I just kind of end up looking like a mess.

[ At least in her mind, you have to be elegant to some degree to really pull off goth, and the best Ritsuka can manage is cute. Oh well. She reaches for a paper towel to try and scrape up as much of the smeared black paint as possible. ]

Even at this time of year. I'd have better luck putting on a cat ear headband and ham it up.

I getcha, I getcha. [He nods sagely. There are a couple of guys he can think of who could pull it off and he is definitely not one of them. He likes bright colors too much, anyway.]

But hey, hey, nothing wrong with that! You'd look super cute with cat ears: I can just see it!

[ Weiss is not a child, but she actually stopped by to spend time with the children. She hasn't done much in terms of helping out, but... she figures this would be a good start.

It's not immediate regret she feels when everyone's invited for a "collab", but it does well in startling her. ]

Oh god! Are you going to use your hands to paint?!

[ THAT'S SO MESSY AND UNCIVILISED ]

[The turnout for this event has been really wonderful. Kazunari is so happy to see not only the kids, but other residents and otherworlders alike. He's meeting so many new people!

Including this one. Her outburst has him laughing.] Ofc! There are brushes too, but it's hella fun this way! You wanna try?

[Aren't you tired of being civilized, don't you want to go apeshit?]

No, thank you!

[ She shakes her head with all the energy she can muster, and her braid swings along with her. ]

That's just— the paint is going to stay on you for days! At least— that's how I'm imagining things would be!

[Cute...]

OMG, no no way! The parents would roast me alive if I let that happen! [He has a little sister. He knows better!] It comes off with some good ol' soap and water, promise.

[schmisse]

[ Okay, if it sounds as easy as he's making it sound? ]

Just one rinse, and everything will be gone?

Yup! You've got my word; we can even pinky promise on it!

[And he does indeed hold out his (still very covered in paint) hand, pinky up and ready for promising.]

[This is for kids? What about being a kid at heart? Crow isn't really into anything arts unless music is involved, but the foam gravestones pique his dark aesthetic. So he starts painting some spooky motifs like spiderwebs and bat wings. Though, he's not feeling very creative with what name to write on the gravestones. That's when he looks over at Kazunari's designs and snorts at the names.]

Emma Goner? Bone Voyage?! I thought these were supposed to be scary!

[He kind of overlooks this being a kid-friendly event.]

[This guy... vaguely reminds him of Tenma. Which means Kazunari just laughs.] I gotcha, I gotcha, I'm picking up what you're putting down.

[He takes a moment to think about it before grabbing a blank gravestone.] How about! This!

Yul B. Next!

[Kazunari draws in a skull and crossbones too. Very scary! Very menacing!]

Oh! That's actually a good one!

[ Crow looks approvingly at the skull with crossbones. Nice touch! On the gravestone he put spiderwebs on, he comes up with a clever name drawing inspiration from Kazunari.]

How about? Cat A. Comb!

Ahaha awesome sauce! [Kazunari's made quite a few graves now so he's happy to rattle off ideas for Crow.]

Hmmm ~ What do you think of I.L. Beback?

Oh, I like that one too!

[Crow grabs another gravestone and starts writing that one in. He's not big on puns, but apparently, he believes he's fit enough to be a judge of which one is good or not.]

What else you got? And make the next one really spooky!

[He starts drawing skeleton hands on the foam to go with the name.]

[Kazunari looks very thoughtful for a moment.] "I am not dead. I am merely dormant."

[That's... unnerving. But not a pun.] Or, hmm, Barry D. A. Live? [Yeeeah, now that's spooky!]
