It is Taichi's 18th birthday and the party is 50s diner themed. Not because Taichi is about to go and join some greasers sort of deal but most of his favorite foods could be found in a diner so why not go with a theme? From the bright red diner tables and the random fake license plates hung around, the setting looks exactly like a 50s diner. There are waiters and waitresses dressed up to play the role, with the girls rolling around on roller skates to refill/replace the basket of fries at every table and offer either soda or water to everybody around. There's party games, music, and more. Random people in business suits that you don't know? Shh, pay it no mind.

If you want healthy* options? Sorry, you're out of luck. Hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, and any type of soda you can imagine. Dessert? This sweet tooth overload. Check your diet at the door today.
*There is salad.

MUSIC
In the jukebox for a small fee, you can choose among the different songs there are. However, you will not find any oldies but just different rock songs. There are a couple of strange dance songs (what the hell is a salsa slip?) and a slow song in case anybody wants to have a moment. No matter the song you choose, it doesn't really fit with the 50s theme.

GAMES
You know what else doesn't fit the 50s theme? The arcade games. There's games similar to tetris, some type of alien invader looking game, fighting games, some racing games, and some game called Glutton Dude where you just try to eat a lot. However, there is a pinball machine so this isn't entirely anachronistic here.

[So...this is what Taichi wanted. Hikaru finds himself blushing because now that he knows this is what Taichi wants, to lose his virginity to Hikaru now? It's a lot. He laughs and leans in to hug the other, laughing.]

Geesh. All I was going to ask for was a slow dance. Makes my request seem pretty tame by comparison. [When he pulls back, he grabs Taichi's hands with a smile.]

I did rent a hotel room for the night. [But then with how that comes off, his face goes red because it sounds like he was asking for way more.] Not that I planned on anything! I thought we'd fool around, sure, but I mostly just got it so you could have the breakfast buffet in the morning. It's supposed to be really good.

Hikaru's not old enough to compensate anyone yet, so I don't know about any of that. [ He's a rich kid, you can't blame him for being a rich asshole yet since he hasn't been in charge of paying people yet.. in theory.. right?? Taichi hopes. He's def an asshole in other ways, but Taichi thinks that it's more accidental due to obliviousness than on purpose. ]

Y-YEAH!

I don't know about more advanced, but I've played it a few times.. hehe~

[ he's flattered. He doesn't get complimented on his video game prowess (what prowess??) often, since he's got two legendary gamers in his acting company back home-- Neo the top-scoring expert at all games and Taruchi, gaming-obsessed streamer who loves his waifus... aka his troupe leader Banri and Spring Troupe's Itaru. Taichi usually just horrifies them with his free-to-play style.

Either way, he's going up to take his turn now and sticks his tongue out in concentration as he starts the game, looking super serious..!! He does pretty well at least, getting through a couple levels before getting eaten. ]

We might have to dose Tsuzuru-san with an energy drink though.. if he writes a script about dancing and then has to dance in it, he'll be in trouble. We might finally do him in...

[ HE'S CONCERNED. ]

We can still slow dance.

[ Taichi's smile is softer now, and he threads his fingers with Hikaru's. God Hikaru is romantic... he loves this boy...!! ]

All of that's even more romantic, you're making me feel like a dirty old perv now..! Breakfast buffet...!!

[ he pulls Hikaru's hands up to his mouth to give his fingers a bunch of little kissies. ]

( maybe they should consider finding a way for Tsuzuru to do both that is healthier for his body.

A splendid performance! [She clapped sincerely.] It is as I said, you are much more practiced than I. Though I cannot say I feel all the wiser for another round. You did well, Taichi.

[She patted him on the back.]

Are we to play again?

[Hikaru doesn't consider himself romantic but he knows how to be romantic. Or what Taichi considers it anyway. He knows that this means a lot to Taichi and so he wants to be good to him.]

I mean, I'm not saying my intentions were totally pure getting the hotel room. [He'd just never thought they'd go all the way in it. Thanks for the surprise.]

Do you want to dance and then...? There's still a couple of hours left of the party but gotta admit I'm kind of distracted now.

[arf]

You were going to get me a breakfast buffet, there's no way I'd believe your intentions are pure if you're doing something that sexy.

[ What that means, the world may never know. ]

Yeah, let's dance! Hehe, I still have to digest all the food first anyway. I want our first time to be perfect!

[ And he's had a lot of junk food, he doesn't want to feel bloated during his first time... ]

Don't worry, I've got just the concoction! I heard about it from someone at the restaurant I worked at before-- where Juza works part-time now! You take a red bull, something called adderall, and baby aspirin to lower your blood pressure, then cast a healing spell on the person while they drink it!

[arf]

Yeah, it's your turn again! We gotta see how much you learned on round 2! You may be surprised how quick you pick it up.

[irritated]

[Hikaru never knows what Taichi means sometimes and that's half the fun. But even Hikaru knew that Taichi would have found something like a breakfast buffet sexy. Like he'd said, his intentions were not 100% romantic here.

But he smiles and takes Taichi to the jukebox and picks some slow tune and takes Taichi's hand to take him to the dance area and puts his arms around Taichi's shoulders.]

Here, you can lead, birthday boy.

I don't really know any formal fancy dances, just modern stuff. We can just slow dance like this, right?

[ He wraps his arms around Hikaru's hips, close enough that he's practically nose to nose with him. They're really just gonna sway back and forth and Taichi is gonna give him a soft kiss before putting his head on Hikaru's shoulder. ]

[irritated]

Ballroom dancing is overrated anyway. [He's perfectly happy to dance like this, to stay close and just sway. He's never been too into dancing. But this is special and he doesn't mind it at all.

And he doesn't even tease Taichi once. Usually, it's hard for him to let things stay serious but it feels like it would be mean to do so right now. Not after how Taichi just told him what he wanted. His face is still flushed from that confession.]

Eh?! But I've gotten good at healing!

Wait, really?

[ Taichi was just thinking he should learn, so he didn't embarrass Hikaru at a formal event sometime. He probably would catch on pretty quickly if he had to, since Taichi's got a good enough grasp on this kind of thing to do back-up dancing for an idol group. ]

I love my party. Best party ever~ [ He's definitely chipper sounding, but his voice stays hushed since he's close. ]

[irritated]

[Hikaru's happy to just stay close and sway to the music as they quietly talk.]

I don't like dancing. [But then he realizes how that comes off and he's quickly adding:] Except this. I like this. I like slowdancing with you. This is different. Not like dancing with girls for club events or whatever other reason I have to dance.

[ Taichi's not super smart, but when he's passionate about something, he's quick to notice changes and behaviors. He's passionate about Hikaru, which means he's noticed that Hikaru has started correcting himself when he says things that are blunt or could hurt his feelings. It's a far cry from fake-dumping him while they weren't established enough for Taichi to be certain it's a joke-- Taichi's learned to tell better when Hikaru means to hurt, and Hikaru's learned to be thoughtful toward Taichi. It makes him feel warm and fuzzy, and it shows in the smile on his face. ]

I like dancing for other people. It's fun. But I only want to dance with you.

( sigh. Taichi, why are you like this. )

Because you shouldn't take certain pills without a doctor's permission. ( like, actual medical doctor. not a puppy with healing magic. )

[arf]

We just have to find a doctor then!

[irritated]

[Sometimes Hikaru can be too blunt for his own good and he knows it's too easy to hurt Taichi. But that's the last thing he wants.

And when Taichi smiles at him, saying something as romantic as that, Hikaru feels himself blushing. He's never thought he was so easy to fluster but after today he doesn't know how he's not supposed to blush. He meets Taichi's eye and then looks away. ]

Geesh, listen to you. Trying to flatter me like you're not already getting me into bed.

[Hikaru has to joke or he'd be embarrassed.]

I'll flatter you whether there's a bed involved or not. Do you know how cute you look when I do?

[ He leans forward just enough to kiss Hikaru's cheek while they dance. ]

[This isn't helping his blush at all but he's happy to act like he isn't as flustered as he obviously is by his flushed face.]
