A. Smashing Pumpkins [Pumpkin Mayhem - Drake/Darkwing]

[At first, Drake Mallard loved the idea of decorating some pumpkins! Nice way to get into the Halloween spirit. So one can join the civilian duck as he paints and/or carves some pumpkins. Of course, most of the designs he uses are based on Darkwing Duck and some of his villains! Join him during the calm before the storm and help him with decorating pumpkins... or when they start to come alive and take the off-duty hero by surprise!

Or later on, after he's made a costume change, Darkwing Duck will do some more patrols of the area and see if anyone else is having any trouble with rogue pumpkins...]

B. Heading Places [Don't Lost Your Head - Darkwing]

[When he hears rumors about the headless horseman, it sounds like a job for Darkwing Duck! ...A particularly scary job, but a job nonetheless!

And so, he ends up showing up to protect some volunteers who are cleaning up bodies in Celliwig. He keeps some distance from the volunteers and watches from the shadows because of his aesthetic. Perhaps someone is staking this out with him, or is one of the volunteers that this duck is trying to protect.

Or skip ahead to when the Headless Horseman makes his entrance, and Darkwing springs into action... starting with his catchphrase, of course!]

I am the terror that flaps in the night!
I am the dental floss that has been dropped into your candy bag!
I am... Darkwing Duck!

C. Beddy or Not [Bunker Down - Drake]

[So what happened at the end of last month sure was depressing! He felt some relief in being able to do his part to help save people from Lestari, but especially as a hero, he feels the punch from all of those that weren't saved elsewhere. So he throws himself into some relief work so that he can do something to help the survivors!

And so Drake can be seen at the woodworking sight, where he tries to help out with constructing some bunk beds. One can catch him in one of several scenarios. Tired out from all of his work, he could end up taking one of the unfinished beds for a trial run by passing out on it. Or he could be seen doing some strange work for one bed, like making the carving of a duck head coming from the foot of a bed, and also several imperfectly-shaped wheels off on the side... is he trying to make a Darkwing Duck racecar bed...?]

[As soon as the duck man begins to explain his own collection of pumpkins it's like he's speaking Izuku's language. He perks up, realizing that he's carving villains and heroes of his own world and that immediately makes Izuku want to hear about it! His eyes grow wide, like a fanboy awakening.]

Darkwing Duck? A hero in your world? Megavolt looks like a dangerous villain...!

[He sits back down, placing his work down on the table.]

I've been working on carving a hero from my world as well. This is... All Might! The greatest hero in our age.

[flapsin]

[Oh, this human boy looks like his kind of people! Drake's grin grows richer. He'll talk anyone's ear off about Darkwing Duck, but it's even more exciting to talk to it about someone on a similar wavelength! He nods excitedly!]

He sure is! And he's being a hero in this one, too. He's a caped crusader who never gives up as he fights various enemies in the night! Megavolt sure can be dangerous, although he's not as bright as the light bulbs that he befriends!

[He grins, and then he takes a good look at Izuku's masterpiece.]

Wow! All Might. I never heard of him! A simple name, but an effective one. I can tell this guy's supposed to be powerful! So he's supposed to be the... greatest hero? [He needs more details on this guy!]

[He's really just lighting up. It's been a while since he's been able to connect with someone on such an even level. When it comes to heroes and the excitement around them nothing quite matches Izuku's ability to go full fanboy. He definitely wants to hear more about Darkwing Duck.]

That's right! He's the greatest hero in the last decade. His catchphrase is, "I AM HERE" because no matter what All Might saves everyone with a smile. With his help, an era of peace hit our country, crime rates were the lowest they ever were. He's a symbol of peace.

[He practically sparkling even as his tone goes deeper to mimic All Might's deep vocal sound. Pretty great impression, right? Even if things are shifting and changing back home now... It's still feels so good to look back on it.]

Can you tell me more about Darkwing Duck?

Ooh! [Drake looks easily intrigued as he hears about All Might! He might be a Darkwing fan above all, but other heroes can still be really cool! And he does sound like an iconic hero.] He sure sounds like an incredible hero! I like that catchphrase. Those are the kinds of results all heroes try to strive for!

[He wishes Darkwing Duck could be a symbol of peace! Even so, Drake's eyes light up once he gets the choice to talk about him.]

Absolutely!! I can tell you so much about him, I'm pretty much his biggest fan! He's mysterious masked mallard who lurks in the night, striking fear into the hears of evil and hope into the hearts of the innocent! Armed only with some gadgets, his sense of justice and a spirit that will never give up, he wages a neverending battle against all sorts of criminals!

[While he explains, he also uses his light magic to project an image of Darkwing himself!]

[And just like that Izuku is sucked right in as well. Practically sparkling one would think that the boy would have light magic of some sort. Hearing other people be excited about their beloved heroes also just gets him so pumped up! And Darkwing Duck sounds a bit like Fenton's persona too- How interesting! Maybe he should take some notes...]

That's amazing-! Uaaaah! A classic caped crusader that works during the night! That's incredible!

[Although they're usually taught these days that capes are a bad idea. The support division dislikes putting capes on most designs... No capes!! But that doesn't mean Izuku agrees. All Might looks mighty in capes. He likes them and would probably use one if he didn't get in trouble for it.]

Nighttime patrols are always difficult. Does he work with any sidekicks?

[flapsin]

[This boy is really Drake's kind of fan! He's glad to see him getting so excited about Darkwing, it makes his own excitement multiply! Drake grins widely at Izuku's response.]

I know, right? Isn't he awesome? He's inspirational! Now Darkwing's mostly known to work alone, but he's been known to work with allies when the situation calls for it! Rumor says that he just started working with some sidekicks back home... [But Launchpad and Gosalyn don't exactly have alteregos, so he won't namedrop them.] ...and he also collaborates with other heroes! Like... Gizmoduck, and other heroes...! [He really tries to downplay the name "Gizmoduck" as he brings it up.]

[fullgauntlet]

Wah?! Eh-?!

[So there is a correlation! Izuku seems to light up like a freaking light bulb.]

G-Gizmoduck! I've heard of him! I've-

[Well he shouldn't give away too much, right? Gizmoduck is the type of hero that likes to keep his identity secret! And that is something to be respected! He can't give away that he knows Fenton and has seen Gizmoduck in the works! And that he studies and works with Fenton on gear?!]

He's incredible too! Darkwing Duck and Gizmoduck... I would love to see them in action...!! I wish I could...

[flapsin]

Oh! So you've heard of him.

[He'll try not to feel insecure about this kid having heard of Gizmoduck before Darkwing... He's trying to be fairer to Gizmoduck now that he knows that he's Fenton, after all! Drake still can't help but feel a little jealous. But still, at least the boy's excited about both of them. So he grins as he goes on.]

I'm sure that you might someday! After all, they're both here, and they have teamed up against a few threats already! Including their own dopplegangers when that was a thing a few months back. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before you come across one of their epic team-ups...

[fullgauntlet]

[Don't worry Izuku has enough hero fanboy in him for the both of them!]

R-really? They're both here- So Darkwing Duck is here too?!

[He's already ready to sparkle. A new fan ready to jump in.]

I don't want to wish anyone any bad luck but I'd love to see him fight off a villain...!

[flapsin]

[That much seems clear from all the excitement the boy has for Darkwing Duck! It warms Drake's heart. And fills his ego! He grins and nods along.]

That's right. He's been patrolling these very streets at night! I've been reporting on his sightings on social media. [A chuckle.] That's the conundrum, isn't it? You love the idea of seeing a hero in action, but you don't want to wish any villain upon the populace. ...Especially when villains are a lot tougher and more pain-inducing than they seem on tv... [He says that a bit meekly, trying not to dwell too much on his own battles.] But whether you wish for it or not, evil never sleeps. So I'm sure you'll see him in action one day!

[fullgauntlet]

[Izuku's fingers go to his chin. He looks so contemplative.]

Maybe If I work on a night shift patrol myself I'll be able to catch a glimpse of him...

[As goodhearted as that is? Izuku, don't be a celebrity stalker??]

I know what it's like to take on too much... Villain fights are difficult. But if he's already a pro...!

[flapsin]

[Drake started off as an obsessive fan of Darkwing Duck himself so he isn't exactly bothered by this...]

That could raise your chances! If you can handle the hours. [Even now, he still feels like he's adjusting to Darkwing's nocturnal hours.] Just make sure you still get your sleep, kid!

[A confident chuckle.]

That's right, one professional hero, here to defeat and dazzle...! [Although he might have a different meaning of 'Pro' in mind.]

[fullgauntlet]

[They are birds of a feather, as they say...!!]

Haha... I think I'm more of a night owl than an early bird. That's when I get most of my studying done. When it's late at night.

[Oh gosh, he doesn't mean that in a mean way- Is it okay to make bird analogies?]

I always want to try my best, though. I want to meet heroes from other worlds. I feel like I could learn so much from them...! I'm a student training to be a hero, too.

[flapsin]

[Drake doesn't seem to mind the bird analogy. No festhers ruffled here!]

Ah, classic late-night studying. Sounds like you're already set for some Darkwing chasing!

[He perks up at the last part.]

Wait, you're a hero in the making? Okay, tell me everything about it! [He wonders if he has to do with the other student heroes he's been meeting...]

[fullgauntlet]

[It's a good thing! Izuku was worried for a split second about being too rude! Can never be too polite!

He lets out a confirming laugh and nods.]

Hm! I go to U.A High School, a specialized school for training future heroes. It's churned out some of the best heroes over the last couple of decades including All Might himself. I'm more than lucky to be a part of the hero course we're I've been learning to hone my quirk and about the fundamentals of being a hero. Search and rescue, negotiations, combat skills and everything else I could need. On top of my normal classes...

[He's going on a ramble but he's just so happy and blessed. He loves getting to remember that and getting to mention it. He's so grateful...]

I'm really lucky to be there.

[flapsin]

[No toes have been stepped on, webbed or otherwise!

As he goes on, the description sounds familiar. He's met a few student heroes already, and so Drake smiles as he listens to the familiar explanation.]

Ooh, I see. You know, a whole school dedicated to heroism is honestly one of the coolest concepts I've heard of. [He really wishes there was something like that where he came from!] And it sounds comprehensive, too! I'm sure anyone would be lucky to be there. Like... am I guessing correctly that this is the same school that Ochako and Fumikage attend? Oh, and do you have powers? Or... 'quirks', right?

[fullgauntlet]

... It's amazing! I was always my dream to go there and when I finally got in I could hardly believe it.

[He perks up with a smile.]

Ah! You've met Uraraka-san and Tokoyami-kun then! We're all in the same class together! That's right. We all have unique quirks that help us with our everyday hero studies.

[flapsin]

Indeed I have! Quite the upstanding young citizens, if I do say so myself.

[And Izuku seems to be cut from the same cloth so far! ...Of course, he has also encountered Bakugou too, but he doesn't quite know enough to connect him to the class as well!]

That sure sounds like a lot of fun! What kind of quirk do you have?

[fullgauntlet]

[He has to bubble with some pride at that comment. It's good to feel like he's doing something good. That all of them are.

And Izuku still has the habit of summarizing his quirk in very basic terms. Even if he knows that people from other worlds won't really be in danger with them knowing the truth about his quirk. He just can't help it.]

Ahh! My quirk is a power augmentation quirk. I can change my power level with certain percentages. That means increasing strength when I need it.

[andddd thatttt's it.]

[flapsin]

[They definitely seem like good eggs. Drake feels jealous that they get to start preparing to be heroes so young! But he also feels like he's been preparing to be a hero long before he decided to become a real life one.

He accepts Izuku's answer with a delighted nod.]

Ooh, interesting! That sounds like a cool one. It absolutely must come in handy for taking down foes! And clearing debris. You must be one little powerhouse! [He says with a chuckle.]

I'm sure kids will be putting your face on a pumpkin someday!

[fullgauntlet]

[Izuku laughs as an embarrassed blush appears on his face. He tries to be humble but he is really proud of himself these days.]

I- I hope so! Maybe someday there will be action figures and merchandise made about... me!

[He looks back at his All Might pumpkin with a smile. His strength is all thanks to him giving Izuku a chance.]

It's all thanks to him, too. When he was training me... He used to have me pulling fridges with him on top of them on the beach.

[flapsin]

[Drake smiles proudly at the boy's excitement. It reminds him of himself as a kid, wishing he could be a fearless, beloved hero like Darkwing Duck. And as he talks about his training, Drake responds with an impressed whistle.]

Wow, whole fridges! Plus the weight of a person, too. You really must have a lot of strength on your side! [Especially for a human who doesn't look particularly big!] I'm pretty sure I never did training that extreme. That All Might sure must go All Out!

[fullgauntlet]

[Whole fridges!!]

And with All Might being... approximately five hundred and sixty-two pounds in his muscle form... plus the weight of the fridge, I- ...

[Pulled a lot of weight. A LOT. But Izuku realizes he's talking about himself too much and starts to shake his head before he goes into a mumbling ramble.]

Ah- I mean... I'm sure Darkwing Duck has his own powers or tools?

[flapsin]

[Drake just stares for a moment, in blank awe.]

...You, sir, are one strong boy.

[And that's all he has to say about that! He feels confident that he would not survive that training regimen.

He clears his throat as the subject shifts back to Darkwing.]

Darkwing Duck has no powers of his own, though his determination to stay standing can seem like a power in its own right! There are some gadgets to help him out, to be sure, such as his trusty smoke bombs. But mostly, Darkwing Duck makes up for a lack of brute force by being light on his feet and commanding several styles of martial arts. He misdirects, he confuses, he uses a heavyweight's weight against them! He strikes quickly and efficiently, like an avenging angel of the evening!

[He does get a bit red at the praise and tries to quickly shake it off! He's proud of himself, though!!]

Wha... Even heroes who make use of their support geat and tact are just as strong. I always thought that If I didn't have a quirk like the one I have I could maybe become a hero just like that.

[He's admiring Darkwing Duck even more!! To technically be quirkless but still be a successful hero... That's a real dream.]
