Pain-Tolerant Badass/Caring Badass
[Tattoos weren't normally his thing, but he went for this because he knew a thing or two about having something like a guardian around. He was also very familiar with death. So, once the pain had subsided and the seal was in place between his shoulder blades, Minato waited to see who would be his caretaker.
When they arrived, Minato was just pulling on his shirt, so the tattoo was seen for just a moment.]
Hey. I won't ask you to do anything weird, promise. I'm mostly just hungry right now.
You're always hungry.
[His church grim familiar grumbled from where he laid on the floor, but it was spoken good naturedly. Minato only shrugged lightly.]

Shear Determination
[Perhaps it was because Minato was very quiet and able to stay still for awhile, although to be fair it was usually sleeping, but he was able to get a couple sheared already. It was slow going, so he wasn't sure just how many he would be able to do. But it was somewhat of a relaxing venture even with the sheep being anxious little things as it were.
He let the one he had in his lap go once it was done. No burns, thankfully. He looked over to see if he could find any more sheep that would be easier to get into his lap but of course, there were plenty of other people trying to do this as well. He stood up and stretched, shoving his hands into his pockets as he looked around. He then approached one of those and quietly asked.]
Need any help?
Honk

[Minato raced after one of the troublemaking geese as it not only had the cords to his headphones in its mouth, but it was dragging the whole ensemble, MP3 player dragging and clacking on the ground, the headphones almost precariously so. He needed to get those back! They were incredibly precious to him. All those nights in Tartarus certainly helped with running for such a long period, but even then he couldn't exactly keep going.]
Kuro, can't you do something?
I can only run so fast, kiddo!
[Minato panted hard, growling under his breath as even with his familiar also trying to help it seemed the goose was going to be one step ahead of them. Please assist before his music player is down for the count?!]
B
[Minato had certainly not been one of the only victims of the geese, but it was certainly getting more tiresome to deal with them the longer this dragged on. There was a lot of running today and he was going to take the biggest nap when this was all over! Or maybe even just kill one of the damn things and eat it himself. He had the stomach for it and enough room to boot.
If he could catch one, that is.
Minato stopped and rested his hands on his knees, the goose getting away with some poor guy's glasses.]
Damn it... this isn't what I had in mind today...
[It had been purely accidental before but Minato had figured out one of his abilities. Blood magic. He grabbed a safety pin he had clipped to his jacket and pricked his finger with it. He didn't have the best control yet, but creating sharp little needles with his blood might get to the goose faster than he could and he tried to aim and fire!]
Damn it. Sit still for a second.
Light 'em up!
[Minato had volunteered to help a shop keeper with their light display. He had never displayed candles like this but he figured it was worth a shot. Too bad the best he could do was something completely plain and unoriginal. He stepped back, tilting his head to the side. The candles were lined up and very crookedly so. It was a fire hazard waiting to happen, but the shopkeeper hadn't come out yet to check. Minato hadn't exactly signaled that he was done. He tapped his chin, reaching out to straighten exactly one (1) candle.]
Mm.
[Maybe he could put more on the left...?
Someone please help him before he lights the store on fire.]

Honk A
Now the young man has been trying to find the goose that had gotten into a fight with Hedwig moments ago when he saw another one carrying a set of headphones on its beak. Was this the same goose that got into her nerves a while ago? Right now, Harry couldnβt be sure just yet when he also turns around to see another young man trying to catch it and it looks like he needs help in catching it.
So he approaches him and see if he can try to help him out.)
Hey there, maybe I can help you in chasing after that goose: I have kinetic magic on hand to help in catching it.
no subject
[He was having a hard time breathing from all the running, Kuro was still changing after it. Minato tried to catch his breath as fast as he could so he could run after it again. But this guy has magic that can help, then by all means, he will accept the help!]
Before it breaks it.
no subject
(Harry turns towards the goose and begins to sprint after it as that sneaky feathered pain in the neck tries to escape him and Kuro.)
Alright, goose: youβre going to be in trouble once Iβm done with you.
(First, he begins to slow down the gooseβs footsteps as slow as he could so he and the church grim can get after it quickly. He then observes the birdβs running patterns to see what to expect before he can make his next move while avoiding colliding into people and things.)
no subject
Well, thatβs one item down. One more to go. The goose begins to zigzag in an effort to throw off the dog and human despite losing half its prize. Minato was a little grateful nonetheless. At least the player wasnβt dragging all over the ground anymore.]
Kuro, try to pounce it!
You got it. Here!
[Kuro used his long tail to toss the MP3 player to Minato, caught it with a little difficulty and nearly toppling himself over in effort to make sure it didnβt hit the ground again. He quickly placed the slightly slobbery neck strap over his neck and renewed the chase.]
no subject
While the goose runs fast, he runs faster just to catch it. He begins to suspect that maybe he could try to levitate towards him and hopefully try to retrieve the headphones from the gooseβs beak. So he decides to channel kinetic magic to summon both bird and headphones towards him so he can give the later back to its owner. But then again, the bird could try to outsmart him.)
no subject
Take it easy, we can't have those break, kiddo.
[Kuro panted as well, watching the boy work his magic. He wanted to pounce the goose but he wasn't sure that it would help now. Minato eventually caught up as well.]
How is he so fast? It's fat.
no subject
Pretty fast enough to outsmart plenty of people. I am starting to be convinced that these geese in this world are a lot smarter than many would give them credit for.
no subject
Sorry Harry, he's going to ignore you for a few moments so he could plug the headphones back into the MP3 player that was around his neck, pressing play and putting the clip-on headphones over his ears just to make sure he could hear the music. He breathes a sigh of relief and them rests the wires around his neck, letting them hang over his shoulders.]
You can let it go, now. I don't plan on eating it. Unless you want to.
no subject
(So Harry just simply drops the goose onto the ground, letting it run off to annoy more people again. Before it goes off to run again though, the angry goose honks at him out of pure rage for restraining it before it leaves.)
Evil smart geese: why does it have to be evil geese?
no subject
Are evil smart geese common where you're from?
no subject
(Rose pokes her head out of Harryβs jacket pocket, squeaking if the goose is gone since she got spooked by plenty of them a while back.
Hedwig follows after them after not being able to find the exact same goose who dared to annoy her so much, landing on a nearby tree branch to relax.)
no subject
[Oh, there it was. A really pretty snowy white owl to boot. He looked up at the tree with her on it.]
Can I pet her?
no subject
(The snowy owl hoots softly as she flies towards Minato. She happily lets him to pet her. After all, she wouldnβt mind having a pet on the head.)
light em up!
Safe... [ a small sigh of relief. ] You can leave it there, if you want. It'll look good regardless where you put it.
no subject
[He stepped back to take a look at the display. He tilted his head. He really didn't know if it looked good or not.]
I've never decorated with candles before.
no subject
[ anything to prevent a fire from breaking out. but on the other hand... ]
It looks really good, honestly! How long did it take you?
no subject
[The shopkeeper finally stepped out and grinned at the display.]
Well now, that looks great, thanks a bunch! Oh and you brought a friend. Thanks a lot, you two.
[He left them with a bag of treats and Minato immediately dug into his. He munched on a cookie. He looked around to see if the other teen had also been working on a display before rescuing his.]
Did you need any help with yours?
no subject
[ naoto wanted to tell the shopkeeper the truth, that he had only gotten here only two hours ago, but he doesn't have the heart, considering free cookies. so he does the same as minato, eating away happily. ]
Oh, yeah, I do, if you don't mind. [ maybe if they worked together naoto could get it done. ] Here, I'll show you.
[ naoto leads him to his display, only half finished, but there was an attempt. ] Pretty bad, huh...?
no subject
[He didn't think it looked like anything special. But he followed Naoto along anyway while munching on a cookie. He looked at the display and, well, he really had no artistic bone in his body when it came to arts and crafts so it him--]
Looks fine to me. Just gotta finish it, right?
no subject
[ then again, with someone with a bleak world view like naoto's, anything made by anyone was beautiful in its own right. ]
Yeah. It shouldn't take long if you're helping.
[ he wasn't making anything remotely pretty himself, but naoto was just doing it for the sake of making others happy. ]
Pain-Tolerant Badass/Caring Badass
That's fine by me, we can go for something to eat. I'm sure you probably are after dealing with the pain.
no subject
'Kay. Want to pick the place since you're stuck being my caretaker for now?
no subject
[Meanwhile, Ken kept on staring at him. He didn't know if he should bring it up or pretend nothing had happened.
Either way, he'll gesture him to the direction of said place.]
I know there's a lot of sweets there?
no subject
[He knew Ken wasn't 12 anymore, but he wasn't exactly 16 either. Why was he working? He shook his head, Ken likely had his reasons and even perked up at the mention of desserts.]
Sounds good. But... why are you staring at me like that?
[He also knew they weren't from the same Iwatodai but... even this was a little weird. Did he grow a second head or something?!]
no subject
[Although, there was a pause before shifting his weight. As he gave Minato a look, he wasn't sure if he should be so blunt. While he wasn't someone new, he also was at the same time.]
...Your tattoo. Doesn't that hurt.
Honk B
HONK.
[ That's it, that's everything Akira has to say. It must look weird to have a teenager honking like this, but that's just the beginning. That sound only irritates the goose which starts flapping its wings to look more intimidating. Also, that's when he notices Minato attacking it with blood needles. ]
I'll distract it, alright?
[ He waves at the blue-haired boy with a sheepish smile. At least he's not honking...for now. ]
no subject
Distract it how?
no subject
[ He can't be serious, can be? What a joker. What he actually meant is more honking, to be honest. ]
I'll keep talking to it. Can you sneak closer and grab it from behind in the meantime?
[ This is his idea of a flawless plan, it seems. ]
no subject
But Minato nodded nonetheless. It wasn't like they had any other plans. So, he waited for Akira to use that... "irresistible charm" and try and sneak around it. This better work.]
light 'em up!
The cat approaches with all the air of owning the place, as a cat is wont to do. He perches himself at the very edge of the display, keeping quite still to avoid setting himself on fire, and blinks slowly before speaking.]
Are you open to artistic criticism?
no subject
[The last thing he expected was a talking white cat. He even tilted his head in curiosity before nodding with a shrug.]
I guess.
[He knew he wasn't good at art.]
no subject
You need to add height. They don't look appealing this way.
