⚔️️ WHAT: There sure is a lot of dumb shit happening in the month of September. Both OPEN and CLOSED prompts, the latter in the comments!
🕒 WHEN: IT'S—the month of September. (More specifically, the span from the beginning of the month to the first part of the event, ending before any dragon problems!)
🗺️ WHERE: Here there and everywhere, including Celliwig, ~the club~, straight up prison, and other assorted places around Camelot.
⚠️ WARNINGS: Eventual branding/tattoo/pain stuff, the subsequent servitude that comes along with that prompt, language, sexual themes in ~the club~, likely violence/actiony antics in the jailbreak, animal capture and implied slaughter for food in the event prompt, and I'll add anything else!


1. Kadoc the Stubborn Husky (early Sept., OPEN, thanks a lot Claude)

[Kadoc needs a second opinion. Maybe even a third, fourth, and further opinions. Claude is a lovable scamp and all, but Kadoc is a paranoid bastard, and he can't quite convince himself that he's not being had with the whole—howling thing. He sounds fine to his own ears! He's probably not an Animal Mage, although boy would this be a typically embarrassing way for that to make itself known if he were!

He needs confirmation, but after how that went with Claude, he can't quite bring himself to walk up to anyone and just start talking. What if he really is making dog noises?! So, instead, he's gathering his courage to approach people he recognizes as offworlders and . . . hold up his tablet, on which he has a Notes file open, with this typed in a large, visible font:]

I NEED YOUR HELP. NOTHING DANGEROUS.

[ . . . This could have been an email a network post, but he's not exactly on his game right now. Who can blame him?]

7. Jailbreak Part 2: The Great Goosening (late Sept., OPEN, the cute part of the event)

[Kadoc has had, to say the least, an unlucky month—but here finally there's a break, or at least a small pleasure. He's already spent plenty of time out in the wilderness gathering mushrooms this month and was debating whether to bother going on an end-of-month hunt, only for the hunt to come to him for once. A chance to grab a pre-fattened goose for their table to go with all those mushrooms? Don't mind if he does!

The geese have other ideas, of course. By now, Kadoc's managed to humanely return several of them to the farm; his Light magic helps there. It's no big deal to snap them up in cages of hard light and then carry those back to where they belong. But geese are smart. Geese are watching him. And when he finally snaps up the fattest of the geese he can find to take home for himself, shutting it up in another light cage and hefting it under his arm, that's when they make their move.

Catch Kadoc racing down the streets of Camelot, vaguely in the direction of his home, but mostly just in any direction that's away from the ten furious honking geese in hot pursuit of him. He's only barely watching where he's going. Watch out, or you could get swept up in this disaster and end up a feather pillow yourself!

Or save him. Someone, please save him from this entire month.]

[ LOOK itaru is a lancelot kinnie, he can't not select his favorite arthurian chara. he may be a degenerate, but he still has standards!!

he'll ignore kadoc's part about never saying take-backsies again and closes his eyes as he thinks. damn, they're already gathering a bit of an audience here... they must've recognized the reigning mario party champion from a couple months back. they should be good to go, since the point of this little competition in the first place is to rack up some relationship points with one another, but-- ]

What if we take it up a notch? Just a tad. Whoever loses will...

[ let's see, what would be a nice little punishment for the loser that won't harness any bad feelings for either party? itaru audibly, annoyingly hums in thought as if he'll get an idea if he's noisy enough, gaze roaming towards kadoc's figure and landing on the two piercings on the other male's neck. dang, how come he hasn't noticed those before?

You know how there's an autumn equinox thing coming up? Heard that you could get a tattoo from it. [ or something. he hasn't really paid attention to the festivities lately; still too busy settling down. ] Just a tiny tat will do. Probably a temporary one -- wouldn't want either party to regret getting it just because they lost.

[ well, it would still involve needles... itaru's not sure if he'd like to get piercings himself, but he'll admit that they'd be real cool to have if he were brave enough. ]

Something like that, yeah. It's a little more involved than that.

[Kadoc leans on the cabinet, crossing his arms and looking over at Itaru; he has been paying attention to the festivities, mostly because he spends a lot of time just kind of staring at the network in his downtime and catching up on what's going on around Camelot, whether or not he has any stake in it. You never know what might happen! Like this, it seems. He's been considering the tattoo thing himself anyway . . . but he should at least explain the ritual first, huh.]

It's more than just a tattoo. Honestly? It reminds me of some stuff from back home I'm not gonna get into here and now, but it's familiar. It's a whole ritual you go through to house a spirit to help it pass on to the afterlife . . . there's just also a tattoo involved. I thought it sounded kinda cool.

[It's really only because it is familiar that he's able to be so casual about calling something "kinda cool" when it's a spiritual ritual. Normally, he'd be very wary of anything advertised that way. But he's drawn to this one, okay!]

I'm pretty sure it's temporary, so if you're thinking of making going through that the stakes, I'm in. I was considering it anyway.

It's not "kinda" cool, it's super cool. Maybe getting possessed by a ghost might be worth getting one. I mean, it's only temporary.

[ itaru normally isn't scared of ghosts or needles, but there are certain stakes involved. he's just a normie guy through and through. but with how kadoc is so nonchalant about all that, he can't help but view the other guy in a different light now.

besides, it'd do itaru good to get out of his comfort zone every once in a while. getting a tattoo is usually the first ballsy step before making any more unwise decisions -- but as if he's going to lose!! ]

All right, you're on. Loser gets to house a spirit inside him and get a tat while he's at it. And just because you wanna get one doesn't mean you can just throw away the game and ditch me, got it?

[If he's going to lose, he's going to work for his loss, dammit! He doesn't want a loss or a win handed to him! He offers his hand to shake on the terms; handshakes are always awkward, but hey, gotta make it official! They definitely have a lingering audience by now. Any official pact being made is going to draw spectators. Hopefully Kadoc won't embarrass himself too much . . . ]

Besides, if you win and regret it, you can just get the tattoo anyway.

all right, all right. let's not keep their meager audience waiting. itaru stretches out his fingers and hits a button to determine a random location for them to fight in, and RNG has chosen the spooky exterior of some haunted mansion. bit too early for halloween, but eh.

ROUND ONE begins, and-- this is usually the part where he'd try to get the hang of his character for a hot second, his gawain swinging his all-too big mechanical axe towards the luscious lady with wild abandon. watch out! ]

[It's on!! Kadoc has done just enough pre-gaming here—in a literal sense, that is—to know how his luscious lady's weapon works and her range. She uses a flail, probably not remotely historically accurate, but who knows what this Camelot's history is? Still . . . it's probably just a design choice that looks cool. With the flail, she has a long range and deals a lot of damage, but a slow recovery, and some blind spots in her defense if you can get in close. And Kadoc is no hardcore gamer, but he does at least have a leg up in that he's actually touched this game before at all.

He comes in swinging, moving to duck under the axe. Ha! Ah, he's not used to going up against this character, though . . . he didn't practice that much.]
