(With the changing of seasons from summer to fall, it’s getting pretty busy at Helleste Café as it gears up for Fall: they started to serve up seasonal drinks (such as golden, red, and brown sugar lattes) and food (like salmon pasta with pumpkin salad sandwiches, sweet potato fries, roasted turkey panini sandwiches, prosciutto and arugula flatbread, maple pecan cupcakes, hazelnut tarts, and apple parfaits) along with their usual permanent food and drink fare. Baristas are at work as they prepare for the season: making drinks and food, manning the register, and handling customer inquiries. Several of them could be seen wearing fall leaf pins on their aprons while at work.

The leaves of some of the trees that dotted its interiors have even changed colors into vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows (some even would fall gently onto the ground), the cushions on the sofas and armchairs have been swapped out for fall patterns and colors, bright rugs that were used throughout the summer have switched out for ones in fall colors, while the lights themselves changed into a warm amber to compliment the season. Some flowers were nearing the end of their life cycles while others begin to bloom once more, giving off a nice lovely scent to compliment the smell of brewed coffee and baked goods.

Shortly after getting a magic vision correction surgery and a hair cut during the weekend after the Kymbyr quest, Harry has returned to work after a day of rest and plenty of the people have started to notice the new look he has been sporting. To be fair, he does feel a little awkward about people staring at him for no good reason, but honestly, the denizens of Camelot actually give him really sincere compliments; heck, some even congratulated him while giving him tips. While it will take him some time to adjust to it, the change in looks surely give him an extra boost in self confidence that he does need.)

Okay then, I will be back with the brown sugar latte order right away.

(A few minutes later, Harry returns with the brown sugar latte and gives it to the lady at the counter. Rose happily bops her head in delight up and down as if she is dancing to the music playing at the background.)

Here you go: one brown sugar latte.

[She watches as he goes to make the drink and gives him a smile when he returns with it. She reaches out for it.]

Thank you, how much do I owe you?

[She knows that nothing is free here after all, and it is a business.]

(Harry has been briefed about the price for the seasonal drinks, though there are times where he did need to check again so he wouldn't get lost when doing his duties: sometimes things go by so fast that he could feel everything could be going off in a blur.)

[She smiles, pulling out her phone and pulling up the payment app and tapped it to pay for her drink.]

Thank you. I'm A2.

[The android sometimes is strange and doesn't really know that she doesn't have to give her name to the clerk.]

I’m Harry, nice to meet you.

(He gets the payment through the payment app as he introduces himself and sends it to the business as usual. Rose squeaks up to A2 happily with her twinkling eyes.)

Oh this little pink puffball on the counter greeting people? That’s Rose, she’s my familiar and a Pygmy Puff.

Nice to meet you too.

[She looks over at the pink puff ball. She was a sucker for cute fluffy things.]

She's adorable. It's nice to meet you too Rose.

[She giggled looking at the happy creature. She was itching to pet the little pygmy puff.]

(Rose squeaks to her that she can pet her and that she would love to get pet by people a lot. This often gives Harry quite the chuckle, knowing how cheeky his familiar can be.)

Well, she does love to get pet a lot: a lot of people couldn’t take their eyes off her whenever they have eye contact with each other. She is really that charming.

[She has a bright smile as she practically holds back a squeal. Ever since she ran into those adorable flying hamsters she'd been a sucker for the cute fluffs.]

I can? Really?

[She giggles as she reaches out with her free hand to pet Rose. She really does find pleasure in the simple things.]

(Rose happily squeaks as she feels A2 gently pets her and she purrs in delight. The little Pygmy Puff is already taking a liking to the android lady already.)

Hey, you definitely can. She doesn’t mind it at all. Oh look, she is starting to like you already.

[She giggles at that as she continues to pet Rose.]

She's amazing and adorable. My familiar isn't nearly this cute. It's a pain in the ass, and a smart ass to boot.

I’m sorry to hear that your familiar is hard to deal with. I guess that bonding with familiars can be hard for some people.

Either way, I’m curious about what sort of magic you have in here: I have kinetic and elemental magic.

He's a smart ass. He's mad that I haven't named him. But I'm no good with naming conventions. Not exactly a skill we learned where I'm from.

[She looks at him when he asks that, keeping the small smile on her face.]

Well, we both have kinetic in common, but I also have technomancy. Haven't really practiced that one though, and I limit how much I use the kinetic.

He is asking you to give him a name? Well, it does take a while to give a familiar their name sometimes: I ended up giving Rose her name just some time after I met her when I first arrived here.

Oh wow, we actually shared a magic after all. I do get tired at times if I push myself too in using kinetic magic to teleport large amounts of things and people at one sitting or if I teleport myself too often, so I have to be very careful with that a lot.

[She takes a drink of her coffee, her eyes light up.]

This is good! But yeah, he's a smart ass and he pops in and out, doing his own thing.

I found with using the kinetic I drain my reserves incredibly fast, especially teleporting. So I usually just don't, unless there's a real reason for it. What is elemental magic like?

I know how that feels as well. Teleporting can put a dent on any kinetic mage’s energy if not properly managed and it does feel exhausting at times too: I had nearly depleted my energy on a quest and during a melee tournament a few months ago. So I can understand it very well.

Elemental magic doesn’t allow me to control the existing elements but I can create and generate them as I wish to. If I want to throw fireballs for example, I can create some on the fly.

So far, I have fire and ice magic at the moment, but I am hoping to get to other elements someday soon. Although I did have a struggle with fire magic for a few months after I picked up on elemental magic.

[She nods listening to him. So it wasn't just her that the kinetic magic drained. But what she assumed to be an organic lifeform as well.]

I got dangerously low back during the summer solstice, trying to fight off all those spirits, after contending with will-o-wisps. If my...[A pause.] friend hadn't saved me and helped be get back to Camelot; I don't know that I'd be here.

That sounds fascinating, and probably a lot more useful than technomancy. I haven't found much of a use for that just yet.

Oh, those wills-o-wisp and spectral spirits. I remember those very well. I did use fire magic to create fireballs to scare them off since fire seems to be one of their known weaknesses, at least from what I can gather in here. Luckily, I didn’t use up my energy at the time and the fireballs I made were sizable enough to keep everyone warm and dry.

Glad that your friend was able to get you out of there and you two went back to Camelot safely before things go south. Sounds like a good friend to me.

But yeah, elemental magic does come in handy for many situations from keeping everyone warm from the cold to freezing things in place to putting out fires: I am not sure of how technomancy works either. The magical part of my world doesn’t seem to have a good grasp with technology.

It was quite a battle though, especially since I had been transported to Celliwig without my weapons, so that didn't go very well. But we managed to get through, barely. Though if they hadn't intervened I would have probably been at the bottom of the river.

Those will-o-wisps almost had me.

[A frown as she takes another sip and scritching Rose on the top of her head.]

Those spirits did nearly got me as well, although I did hesitated after they created creepy illusions of some of my loved ones in front of me. I couldn’t get over the resemblance and I tried to tell myself not to be fooled by them.

One of the people I know of also had a hard time trying to fend the spirits off when she saw an illusion of someone she know of from her world on the bridge. She almost let her guard down for a moment before we got out of there.

[She shakes her head.]

It was challenging, because I knew that the people I was seeing from those were dead, but I for some reason believed they were there. Almost joined them. Then after the spell from them got broke essentially the spirits started making it difficult to get out.

[She nods at that.]

They were good at preying on people's memories of their loved ones, that's for certain.

Yeah, I definitely agree with that as well: those visions were indeed lifelike that it is too easy to believe that anybody would believe the person they’re seeing is real.

(That almost reminds him, the spirits’ attack on bridge does remind him of a similar thing with the Shadlin way back as well since they all create illusions of people from home based on their memories.)

I also remember going through a similar thing months before the spirits attacked everyone on the bridge when I went to explore the Dusklight Wood and saw a Shadlin myself with another friend. They are also capable of making even creepier illusions of loved ones by looking into people’s memories as well, making it easy for people to lose their guard too.

That's a little disturbing when you think about it. That this place has the power to make those memories seem to come to life and be so real.

[Another sip of her drink.]

I think that's one thing that my world has that's more preferable than this. No magic and nothing to make your memories come to life.

Yeah, it does have some stuff and creatures out there to make reliving those memories again a little terrifying at times. And that can get the best of anybody.

(He doesn’t want to get into the spirits possessing the Hall of Mirrors and King Arthur after the Top Talents Tourney at Celliwig right now, especially when he had witnessed a friend’s mirror reflection hurling insecurities at him.)

Hmm, that is intriguing to hear. I don’t recall that many things that can make anyone relive those memories in my world.

It does, and I don't like it. Makes me curse this magic stuff on a regular basis. But this world seems to run on magic.

[She remembered watching the tournament with her friend, but she hadn't participated in it herself. She really didn't like fighting unless she had to. Which would surprise some people's notion of her.]

My world has no magic at all. Most of the androids memories are stored in the servers, or their own internal databases.

Wow, so your world must be a high tech world like the technology found in Lestari?

(A2, your world’s tech have definitely caught this guy’s intrigue already since he does come from a time and world where the tech boom has just begun and wizarding magic can ruin human made tech within seconds.)

That is pretty brilliant. My world’s tech isn’t as filled with advance technology and androids just yet, but maybe there is a good chance that it could reach your world’s level of tech someday.
