[ This almost feels familiar, even if it's been... a little longer than she'd find herself feeling comfortable with. But third time seems to be the charm, and here she is. She seems a lot more calm, silver spear strapped to her back and dressed lightly for now—
though she's likely to change out once she gets to the city, because fashion is important, clearly. She'll be found exploring and probably poking at the flora and waters around, and collecting them.Feel free to observe her, though if she catches someone unfamiliar looking her way, expect some friendly ear wiggles and a wave, and a greeting of, "Doing alright, there? Take a look at these!" - as she's ready to show off her new discoveries.
If she does recognize someone, expect her ears to lift in surprise! She'll take a moment, before murmuring, "Is it really...?" and rushing over. This can happen anywhere, so feel free to set any reunions or new meetings wherever you wish! She can be found exploring the stores in Camelot, mostly medicinal ones and ones with trinkets, or bickering about which meats are best to consume! H...elp? ]
« Residences »
[ New places to live in! Having been brought into worlds before, she's already exploring curiously, and eager to see what the accomodations are like. She's going to be either standing out, or leaving the door open as she explores. If you want to see a very excited miqo'te rushing about and admiring the place, feel free to. ]
Hells, this is pretty!
[ Oh, she's excited. Though, any passers-by will be quickly motioned over for an opinion- ]
You there! Help me out here! What would you do to spruce up this place?
« Wilderness »
[ Now that she knows she's supposed to handle her own quests and hunts, she'll be exploring and learning about the fauna and creatures around. She might go out to train with her weapon near the forest, be fretting about not being able to use her magic with grumbles of "Blast, this should have worked!" or just go exploring and meeting up with some fairies who she's going to be fascinated by and chat up.
Accompanying her for these adventures will be a duck(?) that seems to stare at everything and is a little too aware of everyone- it's not her familiar, but feel free to have it start staring at your character if you end up looking at her too long.
She'll just wave to whoever there is, beaming brightly. ]
Don't mind Ser Bubblenuts. He likes to take in a good view!

[ It's been a while since she went home, and so much has happened there. But seeing him makes it feel like not a sun has passed, and her eyes widen. ]

New Adventures
For the moment, he is wrapped up in his own business while awaiting the caravan - namely, attempting to shake his tail dry - before he glances around and just happens to catch sight of Megumi.
He looks her way for a good long moment, waiting to see if she recognises him.]
♡♡♡♡
She looks mildly amused at the wet miqo'te though, drawing off her cowl and folding it so that he can use it instead. She hasn't immediately put two and two together due to how she did know him— and she holds out the cowl to him. ]
Here, dry off. Think you're going to dispel all the rumours of miqo'te not liking water—
[ She pauses, suddenly hit by a scent that's... very familiar. Even if it has been so very long in her time since she's seen him, their closeness is hardly forgotten, and she squints, leaning in close to peer at him. ]
... why do you smell familiar and why do you look like Crystals without the Crystals?
[ She might have recognized him, rarely one to not be able to with her observation, but with how these new worlds function, she has to make sure! ]

Reunion Time!
But he sees another Miqo'te and his ears shoot up in surprise. Another Miqo'te, here?
Wait, that color mane...
Wait...!
Just as realization is dawning on him, he realizes the woman in question has apparently had the same realization, because she's charging right at him. His face lights up and he grins in relief, arms open as he catches her and spins her in a tight hug, purring and bunting and happily nuzzling at her, before outright giving her a firm, eager kiss. ]
Megumi! Thank the Twelve- a familiar face! I cannot believe my luck... for once, something's gone alright!
Those horrid marks that city put on me are gone, now. And now I've found you. All in all, a good start, even with these odd circumstances...
[ He's not inclined to let go anytime soon. ]
no subject
The joy at being reunited with not just a friend, but being recognized is too wonderful a feeling to ignore, and she lets out a laugh when she's twirled, and as she's lowered, she pulls her hands to his cheeks the same time as he pulls her in to kiss. Most miqo'te like them are unabashed with their affections, anyway- and it's a sweetly warm kiss, before she pulls away and looks him over in amazement. ]
Felih. Oh, Felih, darling. You're the Felih from the city... I'm so glad. You won't believe this, but I've met another you- one who didn't recognize me at all, in another world I was pulled into.
[ She cups his face in her hands, looking at him affectionately- though as she is now, she's definitely had something of a change in style from how she was in Duplicity, hair styled more, attire more fashionable yet convenient- and she chuckles softly. ]
How are you feeling? I'd returned home for two turns myself... did you go back, too?

Hooded robes and a mask are some of the least ideal choices of outfit to be plunged into water in, and Hythlodaeus has to learn that the hard way. When he finally gets to the shore, his familiar indignantly screeching while clinging to his back, the most he can manage is wring out the bottom half of the robes and his sleeves. This, predictably, does almost nothing. With a shaky sigh, he briefly looks around. There seem to be people here, all looking incredibly outlandish, and he wonders if he isn't having some manner of hallucinations before death... But the cold of the water and the unpleasant stickiness of his damp clothes and the strange... avian creature's claws on his shoulder feel more real than they should.
He spots an undergrowth of shrub and trudges over to it, grateful for at least some measure of privacy. After stepping into the relatively secluded area behind the branches, he pulls off his soaked robes, fishes out the mask he'd had to stuff into a pocket hurriedly, and wrings them out. There's an absolute cascade of water. Hythlodaeus drapes the robe over the nearest shrub, wrings out his hair, pulls off his boots and undershirt and finally sits down on the sand. There is sun and fairly gentle wind, so hopefully it won't take him long to dry out...
For the first time since his arrival Hythlodaeus has the chance to examine his surroundings. Where is he? The stretch of the beach, while a pleasant sight in itself, is not one that he is familiar with, nor is anything else about the scenery. He stands up quickly, worriedly, looks in the direction where Amaurot should be, given the position of the sun, but--no, no red of a burning sky on the horizon. Hythlodaeus sinks back onto the sand again, stares at his hands, tries to think rationally. The strange gold-coloured birdlike creature that accompanied him here makes what sounds like an avian sneeze.
(TL;DR: there is now a half-naked man sitting in the bushes, having an existential crisis.)
II. Rent-a-Ride
If the mystery of his arrival was not bad enough, the people Hythlodaeus encounters on the way to Rent-a-Ride are even more baffling. He's never seen such a... maybe multitude is the word, with the grab-bag of differences that it implies. He feels like he stands out, in his dark robes and the mask, but right now he wants to cling to the familiar. The arrival of the strange tomestones soothes him somewhat, although they are not exactly the kind he is used to...
While Archimedes is busy tending to the other arrivals, Hythlodaeus finds a quieter corner to sit down in comfortably and try to get the hang of using the tomestone. It doesn't really respond to the familiar gestures, nor the movement of his aether--it scared him at first, the way he can no longer see the flow of life around him, but Archimedes's explanations served to soothe that particular fear, though a shade of doubt yet remains.
While it's interesting in its own way to explore, Hythlodaeus remembers the warning that there isn't too much time left until departure. Deciding to save that time, he reaches out towards the first person he sees.
"My apologies, may I ask you for help?"
The miniature--well, compared to the real thing--firebird on his shoulder chooses this moment to pull off his hood and try to groom his hair. Hythlodaeus seems to pay little attention, keeping his gentle smile. He's quite fond of the bird already.
III. Red Springs
As the sun sets, Hythlodaeus picks out a quiet spot to sit down and process--and maybe practice--the things he learned from the instructors out in the training grounds. His is cognitive magic, he was told, and that makes sense of a sort. Out of the different abilities described to him, this particular kind seems closest to the powers he normally wields. Peering into the past of things, he was told, is the easiest step he can achieve right now, and once again it's not dissimilar to his own aethersight. There is much and more to be learned from gazing upon an object's essence...
To that end, Hythlodaeus decides to start small. Picking up a pebble off the ground, he twirls it in his fingers thoughtfully, closes his eyes, tries to focus. It doesn't come as simply as one would have hoped, but come it does: a memory of sorts, of those brief impacts and the clatter as the pebble was bounced around by the passersby, carts, once even a bird of some kind taking off in a hurry. Hythlodaeus smiles, feeling pleased, then gently puts the pebble down onto the grass of a lawn behind the bench.
Next, he decides to move on to something more complicated. Standing up, he turns around, brushes his fingers over the bench's back. He tries to avoid paying much attention to the "memories" of himself - after all, how would he know which memories are his own and which retained by the object? Instead, he tries to look further into the past, to those who were here before him...
"Oh."
He draws his hand away, delicately but quickly. Ah. Hmm. Like that, huh. In broad--well, he supposes it wasn't exactly daylight anymore by then, but...
Hythlodaeus decides to walk away from the bench for now and find something else to practice on, smiling to himself. Ah, the vigour of youth...
For the next hour or so Hythlodaeus can be found walking around and touching random objects to try and see into their memories. Maybe it's a lamppost. Maybe it's a tree. Maybe it's something that belongs to you. The possibilities are endless!

"My apologies, may I ask you for help?"
As soon as he hears that voice, his heart stops. He freezes in place, quite forgetting that a question had been directed towards him, before slowly turning to face the questioner. The miniature firebird chooses that moment to pull back their hood and, at that point, there's no denying the truth of his eyes. It's only a shame he can't also have the reassuring glow of their soul.
"Hythlodaeus...?" The name slips out in a whisper before he can catch himself.
no subject
Hythlodaeus prepares to apologize or reassure the other, but hearing his own name in such a quiet, almost terrified whisper makes him feel as though he's been struck. He freezes, staring at Emet-Selch, though he yet has no way of knowing who stands before him. While it is true Hythlodaeus has spoken with several people here already, and given his name quite willingly, - after all, why not? - there is no reason whatsoever for any of them to react in such a way. Which means...
An unsettling sense of foreboding spreads through him. He brings up a hand to his chest in a gesture of gentle interrogation and as a way to steel himself.
"Have we met? I fear it has been quite the trying time, and I find my memory faltering. I hope I have not given offense."

She managed to dry off pretty quickly, and her own attire didn't take that long to clean up. Not that she's ever been ashamed of her body, so that's another moot point. At least the mark he had borne in Duplicity was finally gone, free from the mark of Submissive. As he continues to explore, trying to mind his new familiar, he gets completely distracted by a large, hooded figure, and his ears and tail shoot up in surprise.
No way... ah! A mask! Just like the ones Hades taught him about... Could it possibly be...? An ancient one? A real, true Amaurotine? Here, of all places? Far too excited and curious to let it be, he trots over, his familiar now being the one to chase after him as he wanders off.
"Excuse me!" he calls. "Are you- are you one of the ancient ones? From the city of Amaurot?"
It's only as he gets closer that he realizes the cloaked figure is apparently quite focused on a lamppost, and Felih pauses, tilting his head. "Er... are you alright?"
no subject
The voice behind Hythlodaeus jerks him out of his trance, though, and he turns around abruptly, feeling a little dizzy. He makes a mental note for the future: it seems that the connection is not so easy to break off; he should probably be careful in order to avoid inflicting some sort of mental damage to himself. It's likely it won't be much more than a sense of disorientation, but still...
It takes him a few moments to process what was asked of him. Ancients... no, Amaurot? His eyes widen in surprise as he looks at the feline person in front of him. They don't look like anyone Hythlodaeus knows or even could know.
"You... know of it?"
A little late, the first part of that first question catches up with him.
"Oh dear. I do hope I do not look quite so old."

Well, save for a few bits of healing magic, which are coming to him much more difficultly than it ever should, considering his mastery of the healing arts. Magic works differently here, or so he'd been told, but it's frustrating feeling like a fledgling apprentice again.
It's only as he's wandering the streets that he freezes, catching the faintest of a familiar scent, and he spins and tries to scan the area- and then he sees him. Dressed in fitting attire for the new environs, but it's him.
It's Emet. But his biggest concern is: is it his Hades? His mate? His beloved?
His tail fluffs up and quivers hopefully, ears perking up, as he starts a tentative walk over to the bench.
Look at me, look at me, look at me... If he can see even a glint of recognition in the man's eyes...!

"You are a miracle in disguise." He says to the cooing dragon as he pets its head. The alleged thunderbird is no bigger than the size of a parrot in this world but it looks fearsome nonetheless with his bright blue scales. Regis was about to attempt another spell when he catches a glimpse of some haggard-looking fellow gathering rocks nearby. He watches the gentleman from afar, his gaze lingering upon the circle they made. After a few moments of spectating, he perches Quetzalcoatl upon his shoulders and wanders over for a closer look.
"Having a bit of trouble?" He questions aloud.

The minerals found in a rock near a forested area would either be some manner of silica or clay. Assuming that holds true here as it does on the Source...

[ Megumi had decided to linger behind after seeing other people she knew arriving here- it had become something of a little adventure in itself, trying to see if she could recognize others. While her memories were a bit fuzzy, some became a lot more clearer with those that she did certainly meet and knew-
Though for now, she was on the carriage after collecting some more samples to bring back for Jakurai and her to break down and examine. And she's poking around on her smartphone when-
Oh dear. That's a loud sounding ad, but when she looks up to see where it's coming from, she's shocked at who she does see.
Memories, faded yet strong, seem to come racing back, and before she can stop herself, she motions to the person sitting next to him to take her seat instead as she settles down next to him instead and- carefully reaches for the smart device while he's having trouble with it and activates the mute button.
It's all done rather smoothly, without much fanfare or shame, but her voice- grown gentler after years of growing up- is amused when they can hear themselves think again. ]
Tricky little devils, aren't they? Don't think glaring at it will do much, though.
[ She won't assume he knows her right away- and she looks somewhat different enough in style for her to not be immediately familiar. But that attire of his- it can't be a coincidence, right? ]
Feeling alright, there?
[ Even if the memories are only just beginning to return, especially with the meetings she's had with the others- her memories with him feel immensely strong. Then again, he taught her so much, and she did promise she'd remember, right? ]

G’raha Tia / OTA / 5.3 Spoiler Warning
Being thrown suddenly into a lake would have been less of a shock if he had not been indoors at the time. Fortunately, he was perfectly able to swim ashore, and after being directed along with several other people he has made his way atop the cliffs where he has found somewhere to sit and attempt to make himself somewhat less sodden.
Unfortunately, his new companion - an amaro, albeit one curiously small - seems to have decided that G’raha must have removed his scarf to play a game of tug.
“H-hey!” G’raha protests through chattering teeth, as the little beast enthusiastically grips his scarf in its beak and tries to pull it away. “Careful! Don’t rip it, it’s the only one I have!”
He releases the scarf, but the tiny amaro just brings it back to him, depositing one end in his lap and looking up at him expectantly.
“...this really isn’t a game... I need to wring this out...”
A Banquet:
His stomach is growling at the sight and smell of so much food before him, and his cheeks tinge slightly pink in embarrassment at how loud it is. His habit of going days without food have been over ever since he returned to Eorzea, courtesy of his body no longer being fuelled by the Crystal Tower, but now he feels like he’s hungry all. The. Time. It’s really quite frustrating!
At least he doesn’t have to remain hungry for long! And hopefully, they will soon get more information on why they are here... he goes to pick up something suitably fishy, but pauses, and tilts his head to look at whoever might be next to him.
“Hungry though I might be, still I can’t help but be wary of the food.” His stomach growls again, and his ears lower as he shakes his head. “Perhaps I became too familiar with the idea of free food coming with consequences.”
Archery Practice:
In absence of his own magic, G’raha is not entirely against learning this new ‘light’ magic he has found himself with. He does, however, feel suddenly quite defenceless. Thankfully, he had arrived here not only with his staff but also his bow, and he’s sure he is still a fair shot.
...right?
He has barely touched the bow since returning to Eorzea, sure that his archery skills were of little use to the Scions, but his young self’s skills are still ‘fresh’ even if his older self has been out of practice for a full century. That’s the theory, anyway.
On the outskirts of the forest, he has set up a few makeshift targets and has set himself to target practice.
He is largely focused on his own activities, but he does notice the presence of others, and is quick to call out a greeting.
“I hope I’m not in your way!”
Choose Your Own:
Have an idea for your own prompt? Go ahead!
Arrival
His tail, wet and reduced to only a sliver of its usual fluffy self, drags in the grass despite Felih's best efforts at keeping the wet fur up, and his new familiar- a kitsune kit, though he thinks it's just a fox- keeps trying to pounce on it.
When he sees what appears to be another Miqo'te further down the shore, he starts making his way over, only to bolt the moment he's close enough to recognize him.
