He's watching her alright, and very firmly holding the ladder still. There's no nodding involved, and he lets go when she's below safely. Relieved to see her there, he beams.

And he crouches, jumping off the roof which is not at all what she asked of him. There's a strange bubble that forms up out of the snow, shifting debris around, and acting as a sort of trampoline. Gokudera lands on it, and then bounces off of it.

"Oof!" He's on his back in the dirt, confused and a little sore, but not in too sorry a state. "What happened?" Gokudera rubs at his shoulder and sits up, looking around. He doesn't remember helping move debris.
