It must be so simple living as a sheep.
[He smiles, looking down at his familiar who is with him. The little white goat looks up and bleats happily at Izuku.]
I guess you'd understand that too.
[When his working partner shows up he greets with a wave.]
Sawada-kun!
no subject
Sorry I'm a bit late, I got a little lost trying to find the farm.
[He smiles, but he does look warily at the sheep. He's never had the most luck with farm animals.]
no subject
[Sprawling farmlands everywhere.]
Thanks for agreeing to work with me today. H-have you ever shorn a sheep before?
[Because he hasn't...]
no subject
But, no, I haven't. There weren't a lot of sheep in Nanimori...
[He gives a nervous laugh. This might turn into a thing...]
It can't be that difficult though, right?
no subject
[He picks up the wool shears he has.]
It can't be too hard. If I'm right I think sheep are supposed to like being shorn.
[Who doesn't like a nice haircut?]
no subject
I think I've heard that to, so I guess we just need to figure out the technique, right?
[That shouldn't be too hard. Tsuna seems almost confident as he approaches the sheep, hoping to give it a pat.
The sheep startles, bleats loudly, and Tsuna yelps as he's on the receiving end of a fireball.]
no subject
Ah- Eh! Sawada-kun!?
[With the sheep bleating loudly Izuku has to take a nervous step back too.]
Wait, they have fire magic?!
[Sheep? With magic?? This just got so much more complicated.]

But he did hear about certain individuals that were looking to poach unicorns. Poaching, in general, seems like a cruel thing to do, selling parts of rare or exotic animals and hurting them just for the sake of money. It's wrong. He can't imagine what it must be like for a mythical creature like a unicorn to suddenly lose its horn.
Izuku is out doing what a knight and hero does best. Looking for the culprits who might be trying to find these poor unicorns. He wants to stop them and hopefully save a unicorn from that sort of mutilation.
Wow, he never really thought he'd be saving unicorns. But here he is. Deep in the woods checking about for any clues...]

She's out searching for any signs of movement when she spots someone further down the narrow dirt path carved through the trees, and her eyes narrow, trying to make out who it is. Someone she doesn't think she recognizes—but at any rate, she isn't going to take the risk of them being someone who shouldn't be here.
It'll be when he's mid-step that Tifa calls out, her voice sharp in tone with warning.]
City's back the other way if you're lost.
no subject
Right, I know which way the city is.
[He gives her a steady look. Heroes aren't ones to beat around the bush about their intentions. And Izuku has never been all that good at being stealthy or keeping to himself in the thick of things.]
I'm not lost, I'm looking for anyone who might be causing issues around here.
no subject
Unicorn poachers?
[Had he come out here for the same reason she did, or is she the exact sort of issue that he was looking out for? Perhaps she had been too quick to pull the trigger on her judgement, but she can never be too careful this far outside of the city and this deep into the woods.]
I've heard people are going around out here cutting off their horns for money.
no subject
[Well, her confirming the issue has Izuku letting out a breath. He sags his shoulders slightly before snapping his attention back up. Okay, he was worried he was running into some bad news too but it seems she might be on the same sort of page as he is. That was a close one.]
Those unicorn poachers... They're causing a lot of trouble because of it. I wanted to see if I could stop them before any more unicorns get hurt... I mean- Who... who poaches unicorns and leaves them without their horns... It's cruel.
[But ... how does one find unicorns in the first place?]
no subject
Disgusting people, that's who. Once we find them...
[There's a sharpness in her voice, clear revulsion for whoever is carving off those horns. And what do they do with the poor unicorns when they're done with them? She swallows past the lump in her throat, perishing the thought.
But her answer will be given soon enough because up ahead in a clearing, they'll hear a small rustle, and a whinnying that sounds... strained.]

burdens of titles
However, he does know his limits. So today Deku has offered to clean parts of the house. Bakugou hasn't really been given the chance to fully shoot him down. Then there's one look from emerald green eyes and Katsuki can't be bothered to put up too much of a fight about it. So right now he's on the couch, reading and studying with some books that he's borrowed. Izuku is upstairs stripping down the sheets and bedding so that they can be washed proper.
Who knows what else up there can be found. ]
no subject
He's a knight now. That title holds a lot of meaning and now Izuku has to look at it differently. It's a lot like being a hero, protecting people who need help, doing right by the community around him, doing the right thing. Keeping a chivalrous heart... There's a lot to think about.
While cleaning Izuku seems to accidentally nudge some papers off a desk. He goes to pick them up shuffling through them carefully before he comes across what appears to be...]
Eh...?
[Title papers of ... nobility?]
Lord... Bakug...
[......]
Kacchan?!
[Yeah, he's shouting from up here.]
no subject
He huffs as he pushes himself up from the couch and makes his way to the stairs. ]
What!?
no subject
[Izuku goes to the top of the stairs and starts flailing the papers wound in one hand.]
What is this all about, Kacchan?! Why didn't you tell me about it?!
no subject
[ Okay but does Izuku realize that just waving a bunch of papers around isn't really going to tell Katsuki much? Like, sure, those sure are papers. However it could be -
Oh. ]
I don't know? Apparently I did enough shit to earn some kind of title. Never bothered to really look through it.

Although Izuku looks a little tired he is looking forward to some easy work and some fresh air. It's been a busy last couple of months and with so much going on he's grateful to do something lighter. And to keep his head busy at the same time so he doesn't over think things.
Plus... Sheep are pretty cute.]
no subject
It still stands out.]
Midoriya?
[Quietly. A startled sheep's a different problem he'd rather not deal with.]
no subject
The voice that calls his name has Izuku looking over his shoulder. Seeing the other his eyes go wide before he stands straight.]
Todoroki-kun...
[Standing there with a sleeping sheep in his arms? How does he do it??]
Hi... It's ... ah, it's been a while.
no subject
You know... no one really calls me that. [It's "Shoto" now, most of the time.] Even though you're always changing. You're pretty consistent. [All things considered. He's thoughtful approaching him—as ever—a heavy, quiet stillness about him. Holding "his" sheep out.] Here. This one's sleeping, I think...
[Blissfully unaware?]
That should make things easier.
no subject
[Hero Shoto! But Izuku is still so used to calling him Todoroki-kun. Maybe someday he'll get used to calling him by Shoto or Shoto-kun only.
The held-out sheep is taken but Izuku lets out an anxious noise and tries his very best not to jostle the sleeping sheep. Baby... He's doing it! Holding a sleeping baby sheep!]
It's still sleeping... [...] I ... I didn't know you were interested in this sort of thing.
no subject
[Familiar? He'd truly missed it.]
Anyways, this is what Heroes do, right?
[The odd jobs; making it easier for others. Unburdening people.] I was thinking about the knights. [As though it's all he can do. Outside of his element, beyond everyday errands. Showing his worth on the battlefield.] It's not like I had another goal in mind, besides training. [His eyes drift again, shifting away here, then spying another sheep to catch. This next one's livelier, aiming a bleat at him before a second burst of warmed magic stifles its fussing. The eyes slip closed, and then he's raising it closer; wooly cloud resting head over shoulder.]
I'm saving for a weapon.
[Something traditional. A real folded-steel sword. His hopes of fighting seep through, and then he's looking to something much further off.]
What about you? Doesn't seem like something you'd be good at...
[No offense!]
Catching sheep, I mean. [Unconsciously, he keeps the image: Midoriya cradling the soft heap of cotton. Trying to hold on to it. He's watching him closely.]
On second thought, it sort of suits you.
