🧙 WHO: Della Duck & You!
⚔️️ WHAT: After the Animal Mage Hunt last month, Della is throwing a small shindig to help them all relax. Food, games, face paint, and awkward questions for everyone. You don't have to be an animal mage/animal person to come, everyone's invited!
🕒 WHEN: First Weekend of the Month.
🗺️ WHERE: Brocéliande, a.k.a the local forest.
⚠️ WARNINGS: N/A.

Delightful Decorations
Do you miss your ears and tail from the temporary spell the month before? There’s a box to slightly cure that! It’s filled with fake animal decorations including cat-ear headbands, fluffy fox tails to clip on your pants, feathery wings to hang on your shoulders, and so on. If you’re feeling a bit more colorfully creative, there’s also face paint! Pick a partner to practice on!

Food Festivities
What’s a party without grub? There’s a big wooden table surrounded by little wooden chairs so you can get your snack on. In keeping with the theme, there are cookies shaped like cat-heads, sandwiches cut to resemble webbed duck feet, and plenty of veggie platters for those who feel they can’t eat what they resembled for a while. At least the tea is normal. Feel free for your character to have brought along their own food to share as well!

Games Galore
Why sit around when you can get some exercise? The easy to play Pin The Tail On The Griffin, where you’re blindfolded and have to pin the tail on the paper griffin on a tree… and hopefully no one else. Or make Tag way more exciting by trying to grab one of the fake tails from earlier off of your friend’s butt! Since you’re in the woods, there’s also a contest to see who can climb trees the fastest! The prize is bragging rights. And maybe a cupcake.

AMA - Animal Edition
Let’s face it -when you’re surrounded by all kinds of new species, you get curious. Here’s your chance to clear the air and learn something new – there’s a big red chair with a label on the back – ASK ME ANYTHING. Anyone who sits in it is volunteering to answer whatever is asked of them. Of course, there’s no guarantee it’ll be the truth… you trolls know who you are.

As a reminder, according to our lovely locations page, “It is cautioned against magic in these woods, as the mystical forces within tend to interfere and cause them to go awry.” We definitely wouldn’t want that happening, wink wink nudge nudge.

[Robyn lets out a little grumble at being called cutesy names, but otherwise she puts up with the petting. She's already been subjected to it with all those kids back in July, so she may as well get used to it. This is her life now.]

[ After a few more pettings, scritches, and 'good girl's, she pulls back with a satisfied sigh. ]

[Robyn takes this opportunity to shift back into a human.]

It's fine. I'm still not really used to people actin' that way when I'm a wolf. Most people...don't like wolves much, where I'm from. [To put it lightly.]

Really? Why? Wolves are so cool! They're beautiful creatures!

Because the woodcutters keep cuttin' down their woods for more farmland, and that makes the wolves go after the woodcutters and the livestock, so now everybody's afraid of them.

[It doesn't help that Robyn's father was tasked with wiping them all out...or that Robyn initially wanted to help him with that, before things took a different turn.]

Yikes... isn't there some way you guys can live together peacefully? Like, cutting woods in a different area, or not taking too much?

There isn't one. The Lord Protector wants all the wolves dead so he can cut the whole forest down.

There's another Wolfwalker like me livin' there, but her mother went missin' and she won't leave without her. Before I came here, I was tryin' to help her find her mother so they could leave with the wolves for somewhere safer.

[ Della frowns sadly - yeah, sometimes things can't end happily for both sides, but it's still a bummer to hear it. ]

... I'm sure you can find her. You're doing a really great thing for your friend.

I hope we can. I want to help her, and I know nobody else will.

[Not when she lives in a town full of people who hate and fear wolves, and her father refused to listen when she suggested that the wolves could leave without being killed.]

Ah-ah! Come on, say that again - but this time, say you KNOW you can.

[ Positivity today!!! She pumps her fists, trying to encourage Robyn! ]

...I know I can.

[She imitates Della's fist-pumping, and what do you know, that does make her feel more confident that she can actually do it once she gets home.]

There you go! Now say it again, louder! So the whole forest hears you!

[She knows that more than a few animals won't like the noise, but oh well. She takes a deep breath...]

I KNOW I CAN!

[And at the very least, that makes a flock of birds take off from a nearby tree.]

[ Have a hearty slap on the back! ]

The forest won't that, and neither should you! You can do anything you put your mind to, and I'll always believe in you!

[ does it matter that these two barely know each other? No. To Della, ALL CHILDREN ARE TO BE BOOSTED IN EVERY WAY ]

[Robyn stumbles a little when Della slaps her back, but she manages a smile anyway.]

[Even if it's from a stranger she just met, it still helps. She only wishes her own father could have said more things like that to her.]
