⚔️️ WHAT: After the Animal Mage Hunt last month, Della is throwing a small shindig to help them all relax. Food, games, face paint, and awkward questions for everyone. You don't have to be an animal mage/animal person to come, everyone's invited!
🕒 WHEN: First Weekend of the Month.
🗺️ WHERE: Brocéliande, a.k.a the local forest.

Delightful Decorations
Do you miss your ears and tail from the temporary spell the month before? There’s a box to slightly cure that! It’s filled with fake animal decorations including cat-ear headbands, fluffy fox tails to clip on your pants, feathery wings to hang on your shoulders, and so on. If you’re feeling a bit more colorfully creative, there’s also face paint! Pick a partner to practice on!

Food Festivities
What’s a party without grub? There’s a big wooden table surrounded by little wooden chairs so you can get your snack on. In keeping with the theme, there are cookies shaped like cat-heads, sandwiches cut to resemble webbed duck feet, and plenty of veggie platters for those who feel they can’t eat what they resembled for a while. At least the tea is normal. Feel free for your character to have brought along their own food to share as well!

Games Galore
Why sit around when you can get some exercise? The easy to play Pin The Tail On The Griffin, where you’re blindfolded and have to pin the tail on the paper griffin on a tree… and hopefully no one else. Or make Tag way more exciting by trying to grab one of the fake tails from earlier off of your friend’s butt! Since you’re in the woods, there’s also a contest to see who can climb trees the fastest! The prize is bragging rights. And maybe a cupcake.

AMA - Animal Edition
Let’s face it -when you’re surrounded by all kinds of new species, you get curious. Here’s your chance to clear the air and learn something new – there’s a big red chair with a label on the back – ASK ME ANYTHING. Anyone who sits in it is volunteering to answer whatever is asked of them. Of course, there’s no guarantee it’ll be the truth… you trolls know who you are.

As a reminder, according to our lovely locations page, “It is cautioned against magic in these woods, as the mystical forces within tend to interfere and cause them to go awry.” We definitely wouldn’t want that happening, wink wink nudge nudge.

She's really good at it! She's good with tea, too. I think she works at that teahouse...Magnolia Cafe.

She liked these ones, but...well, the batch before that didn't turn out so well.

[These ones turned out okay, but the ones before those ended up burning. Robyn's still getting the hang of using a more modern oven.]

Oh wow, that sounds like a very nice place to visit. Maybe one day I can pay them a visit.

It’s definitely okay: anyone can burn stuff in the oven sometimes. I had to deal with baking my brownies in just one oven for a few days. While none of them got burned, it was tricky to bake large batches of brownies with the space I live in currently.

The ovens are different here. You don't need to light a fire to make them work, and there are all these dials and buttons on them...

[Still, at least they're easier to maintain, even if she still finds them a bit confusing.]

(Harry nods in return: ovens have definitely come a long way from people having to put firewood and blindly guess how long would their bread would bake in.

While taking another bite of his cookie, Rose finally wakes up from her nap and happily greets Robyn with adorable squeaks of joy. She could also smell the scent of freshly baked cookies as well.)

[Well, at least this batch is turning out to be successful, if the reactions are anything to go by. Robyn smiles and holds out a cookie to Rose.]

(Of course, Rose wouldn’t say no to any offer for anything yummy and sweet.

And as it turns out, unlike normal animals, Pygmy Puffs could actually eat just about anything as she bites onto the cookie Robyn is offering to her in delight and proceeds to nom on it while squeaking in joy.)

[Robyn just laughs.] So you like it, then? I'm glad.

[At least here she can bake things for fun and see people enjoy what she makes, instead of toiling away in the scullery as just another faceless maid.]

(Rose happily continues to munch the cookie in glee, which gives Harry so much joy in seeing his familiar enjoying her cookie very much.)

I am also glad to see that Rose is happy with it as well. Even her eyes are twinkling in sparkles while she is eating the cookie.

Guess that means I should start bakin' more often, then.

[She'll have to think of what to try next, though she'll probably be too ambitious and attempt something way beyond her current skill level.]

Yeah, that’s a good sign to continue pursuing it as a hobby.

(Rose is almost done eating up the cookie by this point and still enjoying herself.)

I was told that I actually got a decent singing voice despite me being initially doubtful about myself, so that is really relatable.

Really? Then you should try doin' more singin' somehow! Singin' is pretty fun.

[Robyn isn't exactly the best singer, but she likes to do it occasionally.]

Yeah, I have been it since the Summer Solstice. I have been going to a karaoke bar in Camelot to improve on it during my free time or whenever I get days off from work.

Kara...oke? What's that?

[That's definitely a foreign word to her, especially since she still doesn't know about the karaoke bar here.]

Karaoke is an very popular activity where people get to sing songs for fun with something called a microphone.

There is plenty of instrumental music to choose and sing from and something to guide the person along whether it is an animated object bouncing on the lyrics or change in colour on the words.

Oh, so...you can sing, and the music is already in one of those machines?

[Robyn still doesn't know how a lot of modern machinery works, but she's gotten more used to seeing them around while she's been here.]

That does sound fun.

The music is already in there: you just need to select a song you want to sing to and you can perform it in no time.

And yeah, it is a lot of fun when you get into it.

I agree: it’s always great fun in there once you get into it, singing to the music and having a lot of fun regardless of what level of singing anyone is at.

Maybe we might see each other in there someday after this party.
