I wonder if I am dreaming, a gentle gentle dream?
🧙 WHO: Colette Brunel, Open
⚔️️ WHAT: Catch-all
đź•’ WHEN: September
🗺️ WHERE: Around
⚠️ WARNINGS: Possible talk of sacrifice in general with Colette, body issues because being Chosen/becoming an Angel back home is Suffering basically?
Fizzy Lifting Bar:
[Colette is just initially giggling about the bubbles and isn't necessarily considering the other potential consequences. Sure, she misses her wings in flying but she doesn't anticipate rising with her feet leaving the ground from the bubbles like this. It has her blink and flail a little in not being used to this in not being able to really control it the same way without her wings to guide her ascent. Her arms sort of flail as she starts to rise a little.]
Ah?! Oh.....! I wasn't expecting this.....
[But also. There is the truth factor. Even if Colette doesn't often lie and if she does it is usually more by omission than anything malicious, more in reassuring her friends that things were fine when they. Aren't. Actually. So if anyone wanted more honest straight answers out of her about how she is doing, about things back home. Well, now would certainly be the time to ask.]
Business:
[It's taken a bit but. Colette is starting in opening up her idea of imitating the rabbit cafes but with.....dogs. Of course it's dogs. She smiles if someone enters, asking what snack they might like from the selection (which is mostly sweet snacks. Generally either involving fruit of some sort or chocolate.) And giggling as the dogs interest is piqued in a new arrival and they get excited, approaching the newcomer.]
Welcome! Feel free to get something to eat and sit with the dogs! I think...mm, Caramel! Caramel hasn't had a snack yet if you wanted to get a little something to eat!
Tattoos:
[It might not necessarily be the most noticeable depending on what she is wearing at the time. But, Colette does end up figuring a tattoo. She may not have her wings here but she does get the wings tattooed on her back. Even if she is the last Chosen, that seems all the more reason for the reminder. Given the location of it, most might not even realize she has this tattoo unless she wears something more revealing like a swimsuit or tank top/singlet. Or they were the character that did the tattoo for her.]

Great! You’re getting the hang of it! The barrier is a good idea, too. And I bet it’ll help make collecting stars easier.
no subject
[Funny. She had talked to Kratos in how he dealt with those long nights awake over the years. They'd talked about counting the stars. Even flying, she never really expected to figure actually getting up that high in reaching them out there in space. Colette blinks at that, eyes widening, looking amazed and curious at the idea. As if that might actually be possible.]
I'm not sure if I could go up that high but that does sound fun?
no subject
It isn't that high. If you're afraid of falling, I can catch you. I can teleport with my magic, so it wouldn’t be hard at all.
[ He won’t drop her, promise! ]
no subject
[And it is of course that way Colette sees it. As a positive in having a friend along. Even if she's new with flying quite like this exactly. She just figured it seems like fun. She still at least initially would keep with having the bubble of her light barrier around her but once she gets more confident with it and more comfortable she might dismiss that.]
Where should we start, do you think?
no subject
[ The task sounded kind of tedious, but it’ll be more enjoyable alongside a friend. ]
Most people are starting in the main cavern. I guess we’ll follow a passage from there.
[ He turns in the air, clearly comfortable with the weightlessness, to float further into Lestari. But now that he looks around, don’t people seem a bit wary? Some of them lurk in doorways or cross the street quickly, glancing up as though they expect something to fall. Maybe the magic does wear off at a point; he’ll have to be vigilant!
After they collect their jars for the hunt, he selects a clear, open area to get started and rises ahead of her by a few feet. ]
Can you float up until we reach the ceiling?
no subject
[She gives a nod, having followed him, but possibly misses the way the others might seem wary and cautious of her falling. Colette should probably figure eventually she would be back to normal, but she isn't considering on how long this might last or not. She just wants to do what she can to help out. So she agrees, rising to meet him and going higher until she raises a hand to the ceiling.]
So, the cavern then.

Can you make a ball of light again? But brighter this time.
no subject
[She is trying to get in more practice, so she has better control over it, and her Green Magic with having practiced with Emil and at Aerith's shop. Colette gives a nod, following and pausing briefly in creating an orb of light at her palm, sending it between the two of them so they could hopefully both see, or at least see better than they could at the moment. She glances around expectantly for the stars.]
You don't think the light might mean we won't see them?
On hiatus; can we wrap up soon/handwave the rest?
[ Emil scans the rock around them; Colette’s light casts sharp bright edges, but also deep shadows. Somewhere behind and above her, there’s a glint of light - he’d almost guess it was from a droplet of water, save that the caverns are dry. As he watches, it moves slightly left, then darts right. Emil vanishes in a rush of air, teleporting to slam the jar against the rock; his eyes flicker red for a second as Ratatosk adds his own speed and coordination to the motion.
A tiny star-shaped thing presses against the glass, and Emil gives a cry of success. ]
Got one!
Yeah sure. I don't mind wrapping up or handwaving, whichever is easiest with your hiatus.
[Only as he moves to get it. But that draws her attention to what he had meant. And he seems to at least briefly switch to Ratatosk with the eyes changing colour there. Colette simply grins, clapping her hands together when she sees he grabs one. It's something. Some progress, that starts things off at least.]
That's one! Ah, how many are there? How many are we supposed to get?
Since we already figured out the general direction, handwaving the rest sounds good
I don't know... I was told there was a competition. So a lot, probably? They're so small, it's hard to find them. Your light really helps though, thanks! Lets keep looking. Maybe we can corral them with a barrier if we put our magics together...
[ Suffice to say, Emil turns out to be a very good hunting buddy. ]
