Sometimes he's actually happy to talk to people. He's coming back with not only canon update but some CRAU that he has to work out the issues for there. It's a lot of inner conflict and so he's going to be easy to anger.

After milling around and going 'away' for a few days, even from people he did want to be around, he still knew this was going to be the worst of the worst to figure out. She was one of them standing in her way and Midoriya had made it blatantly clear that there were no restarts before he had the knowledge of the carnage he could create. Something that he very much wanted to create again. He could do this, he just had to be smart about it. Toga was right here and if anyone could blend in it was her.

The will to do was something less than the want and those were driven by whatever hell he had seen. He knew that things like this happened, he had talked to Gokudera who had had the same thing happen to him. Someone else's memories-- or rather, memories of himself that carried over so real that they couldn't be just blind fakes. People that didn't exist here, ever to his knowledge, that he missed talking to and people that hadn't gotten their firey asses here yet so he could kick them for not telling Twice and Himself what they were up against. For not telling him a lot of things.

That useless bastard wouldn't lift a finger to help if the house was on fire around him and it was his fault. Most of all, it was something he knew in the back of his mind that Dabi had done to keep from letting it all fall apart. Almost literally if Twice was concerned. Considering that Shigaraki himself wouldn't be telling Toga that Twice was destined to die, he was no better than Dabi. He couldn't have her going off half cocked and getting killed, either.

At least had his ever loving familiar, which was read as reminder, and the irony wasn't lost on him even then. The least this place could've done was give him something less horriffic to look at. Then again if he was down and angry enough to be missing someone like Dabi, then he already wanted horriffic around.

If all that wasn't bad enough, he was mad about being taken on as a god damn meat puppet, too with absolutely nothing to be able to do about that. Luckily for him, that wasn't an issue here and if Master ever showed up, it wouldn't be ever again either. Worse still, if Hizashi ever showed up he'd actually owe him an apology that would never come from his lips and that pissed him off even more to think his mind ahd shit like owing someone an apology let alone it being Hizashi, which pissed him off more for being on first name basis with god damn heroes over some fucking fantasy world that he wasn't sure even existed.

Despite the inner turmoil, a sigh left him and clenched fists were all he had to offer in the end run of it. The memory of anger was enough to keep him going back home and he wouldn't lose it here, either. Whatever that world did, or said, it couldn't stop him from making something in this world, even if he wasn't sure what he wanted to make of it. He had run an entire empire of crime in two worlds, one of which he had muitple holdings and standings. Why couldn't he have just stayed in that one? Why here where his magic, as strong as he had gotten over the last year, felt weak as a kitten in comparison to who he was back home, back in the other world?

Shit.

This was the most confusing. He knew she didn't remember the other world and if she did, she hadn't told him for... probably a multitude of reasons. Either way, he had to get this over with.

Don't be a baby now, either, you know who this is and I need you to tell me what you remember from home or from the other world. Take it or leave it that I'm not plotting anything, I'm asking because you're not a bitch and likely to actually answer me truthfully.

Now this isn't something Ochako expected to see pop up on her phone. It takes her a moment to realize just who it is, and almost instantly, Ochako squints at the screen of her phone. She doesn't have the fight in her right now to really bite back as hard, but it does a least get her up, if anything. She's been going through the motions a lot lately, only just recently getting better, little by little.

It's not mid-afternoon that she woke up, for starters, Ochako actually managed to eat a good meal to start her day and did rearranging in her new room at the Inn. This was a brief break, just to decompress enough to not hyperfocus or spiral again.

I was on patrol with the Pro Hero I was doing my Work Study with. I don't know if any of that makes sense to you, but it's the truth.

As for 'the other world' Ochako tilts her head with narrowed eyes, frowning. Does he want what she was doing in this world? Why not just ask normally?? Weird.

I don't want to get too much into it, it's mostly personal, and I know you won't care.

There was that god damn creeping sensation inside the pit of his stomach reading this. Instantly, he knew something was wrong and it was likely because of someone leaving. She had said "too" but that didn't mean anything. She had lost friends. She lost friends and by the end of her message, she was right, he shouldn't care and somewhere in the sick turmoil he actually did. Just as much as he would have if Toga had sent him something like this. She bounced back too easily, Toga.

Difference between them and me leaving is obvious. I didn't leave. I just woke up with the knowledge of what happened. Out of nowhere.

If that didn't explain 'why' he wanted to know, then she wasn't as smart as she used to be and he was betting she was smart as a whip. Both annoying and useful in their own right.

You can say birthday. I know its December 27th. I know that you worked with Ryukyu at the time but no I don't mean this world.

Really, saying at least one more thing might come off manipulative, but the way he felt about it couldn't be changed.

That's exactly what it is. People left, and Ochako was shocked, confused, and then saddled with a big responsibility. On top of everything else she had gone through during her time in Camelot, it reached a point where she lost a lot of steam. The usual fight Ochako has isn't as easy to tap into these days, and it's been harder to keep a smile on her face when her support net has dwindled...and the remains are as scattered as they are.

But what Shigaraki tells her...it's bizarre. It actually makes Ochako sit up and frown at her phone. It's the same as what Bakugou told her once. That he went to sleep and 'woke up' with a pretty serious injury that was just barely healing. But more and more she keeps reading, and Ochako actually freezes up when he recites her birth date, the Pro she was working with, and when, and--

How do you know all that?
And what other world do you mean?

It's clear there's other worlds, obviously, but the only one she's been to is this one. He's making it sound like she's been somewhere else entirely. Which Ochako has no knowledge of. What the actual fuck is going on?

Having the number one most hunted villain in your world tell you the intimate details of your life that isn't on paper, isn't on an easily reached status, that's intimidating. She's valid for feeling that way, valid for feeling as drained as she might from everything around her, because he had seen her go through it once already when Izuku left the first time.

The answer she gets is an easy one for him to relate:

I'll answer what the other world is by answering your first question: You told me. You told me a lot about you. You didn't tell me everything I'm guessing, but go ahead, test me.

'You told me'. Ochako actually swallows hard when she reads that back a few times, because she has no memory of this. Not of another world, not of divulging her personal information like that. Ochako isn't stupid, she keeps that sort of thing under wraps for a reason. No one needs to know other than people she deems trustworthy. And, frankly, a person like Shigaraki is definitely not that.

There's no way in hell she's playing a guessing game with a villain. Because one way or another, he'll get the answer out of her, and Ochako's not risking anything. She doesn't need more goddamn stress bearing down on her right now, and this alone is stressful as hell.

That was that. If she honestly felt the need to test him, she would. No doubt about it. If there were anything that he enjoyed the knowledge of, it was her tenacity and quick, sharp tongue.

This world makes heroes unimportant and there's other shit to deal with right now that isn't things I can't control. I asked because I want to get back to the other world and I'm looking for ways.

Wait, what? Hold on...that could mean a number of different things - words are weird when there's no tonal inflection projected onto them. Ochako groans and rubs the heel of her palm to her temple. Man, she...really doesn't have the energy for this.

I'm surprised. I would have thought you'd love to get rid of us all as fast as possible.
But you're right about Heroes being unimportant here. I've known that for a while; even if the quest missions are similar enough to what we do, the recognition isn't the same at all.

They're just adventurers completing a quest, mercenaries and guild members. It's like checking off something from an RPG off the list of available sidequests. You get your money, quest item, a little EXP...and then move on. Nothing really happens. Nothing significant. The knighthood and nobility...hah. It's just a badge of honor. Something sparkly to wear. It's not the same, even if maybe there's a little more recognitions amongst the people.
