Melancholia
π§ WHO: Kagami and You! A sorta mingle post, do what you want.
βοΈοΈ WHAT: His best friend has gone home (again) so Kagami is cooking up a storm!! He would emotionally eat but even this is a bit much. So, have a buffet, everyone.
πΊοΈ WHERE: His apartment. Somehow.
π WHEN: Forward-dated TBD.
β οΈ WARNINGS: Food porn, ig
It wasn't until he was making his fourth loaf of bread that he realized what he was doing. But it wasn't until he was on his third hamburger patty being seasoned and molded that decided there might be a problem.
Oh, he could eat all this, but was he going to stop cooking? Probably not. And therein lied the problem. Sure, he used to joke with his friends about being a fatty when he was emotional and eating more than his usual stupid amount. But he had a feeling he really would this time and even he would end up regretting it the following day. But there was a buzz, an energy that he couldn't quell. Could he play it off? Sure, if the basketball court that Takao was trying to put together was finished, but it wasn't. So now he was left with his other talent and that was cooking.
The portable grill was heating up and he was on his seventh patty.
His home smelled like bread, it was going to soon smell like meat. And probably more. He had a lot more bread dough left, lots of ingredients in his pantry and fridge and he wanted to use them. He rested his hands on the counter, propping himself up for a moment as he thought about what to do. He could just have a veritable mountain leftovers, he could likely finish it all before they went bad but... nah. That wasn't gonna cut it. He placed each patty on the grill and then took a moment to wash his hands and grab his phone.
He sent out a quick network post, complete with video to show what he had made so far, and then left it open for requests. May as well see what others wanted that he could -- maybe -- make.
Then, he set the phone down and opened the door and kept the screen door closed. The smell of food would definitely waft out, but it would also prevent Tiger from wandering off. Byakko was off doing whatever he did when he wasn't around, so that saved on room in the otherwise small-ish apartment.
Bon Appetit, Avalon.

Looking at him making circles with the dough, he pondered to himself.]
I think maybe cheese and pepperoni? To be honest, I'm not sure what everyone likes so I think the basic would be just fine.

[The cheese would be easy enough. He had the block out from the previous one he made. He rummaged through the fridge to find the packet of pre-sliced pepperoni.]
Is this going to be some housewarming gift? You said you were moving, right?
no subject
Kind of. I was hoping to learn how to make something because I don't want to be a deadweight! I am living with 4 other people so it makes sense for me to help out.
[That and he gets the impression 2 out of 3 adults might need some help....]
It wouldn't be fair if I did nothing.

[The kid hadn't been gone for very long, so was he in one of these apartments? Yeah, definitely cramped.]
If the adults of the house are good people, they likely won't mind. Bringing home a pizza isn't something anyone expects, let alone a kid.
[He shut the fridge and set the packet aside.]
That looks like a good enough size. We can make two if you feel like it's enough for five people.
[He needs to be able to carry them, right? Making too big wouldn't be a good idea.]

[Although, Ken did have to feel a little bad for Alice as she was living in a house filled with men but hopefully that won't be the case.
As he kept on looking at the dough, he started his attempt to make them into circles. He had no idea if he was doing it right but practice makes perfect.]
I think that should be enough? I don't know how much they eat either but I hope they don't start fighting over slices.

[It wasn't like he didn't understand that himself since he had to be on his own a lot. But he never felt obligated to and his parents never forced it either. But it did help if they couldn't be home to make him dinner or something.]
If they do, just send 'em to my place. I can make a few more if they're really in that dire of a need for more.

[He mumbled to himself. Although, he had to admit, there was a part of him that was being a little selfish. He didnβt want to say it out loud but he couldnβt deny there was something holding him back.
With that, he gave a small sigh]
Itβs just that I kind of want to make it a little special and as a say for me to say thanks.

[Kagami replied, reaching over to ruffle at Ken's head.]
You tell 'em it's homemade and they gotta share. As long as you do that, I'm sure they'll be more mindful about it. And if they really want more, then come back here and you can make them more.

That's when he just stared at Kagami for a few seconds before clearing his throat.]
I suppose but I doubt it. They're not the kind who would ask for more unless they're really desperate. [Although, he does say it in a slightly snarky tone.]

[He shooed Ken off to the side a bit.]
You can put on the cheese and the toppings, I'll put on the sauce.

Sounds good to me. [He said before doing just that.]
I'm surprised though, you seem to know what you're doing with all this cooking.
