Sometimes I Can't Believe It
🧙 WHO: Tsuna and you
⚔️️ WHAT: Beating that summer heat by ignoring your insecurities and failing
🕒 WHEN: Throughout August
🗺️ WHERE: Around town
⚠️ WARNINGS: Insecurities around self worth, last month's event and just general bad times? Will update as necessary.
A - Don't Treep, Man
[Since the events last month, Tsuna hasn't exactly felt like himself.
It's hard, he finds, to shake off the voices in his head, reminding him of how pathetic he is. And even with the reassurances of his friends, they don't go away that easily. And thinking about it makes his head spin.
So for now, it's the next best thing. Not thinking about it.
Green magic is still a bit of a mystery, but Tsuna is doing his best to encourage the plants. He's only focusing on his green magic and slowly but surely, small growth can be seen poking up out of the ground. Though he's reluctant to turn up the gas as it were, since the last time he did that, things got a little super charged. And he doesn't want to mess this up.
But maybe...just a little more?]
Hey! Get out of the way! I think I overdid it!
[Yeah, there is a mess of vines growing out of the ground at a rapid pace now. Help?]
B - School Days
[His attempts to help out having ended in disaster, Tsuna retreats.
He dithers about where to go, feeling like he's something of a danger to the world before finally settling on the school library. It seems safe enough and he can work on his homework at least, as something to do. Maybe something familiar will help.
And so that's where he's settled, at a familiar table to anyone who's joined Tsuna in his studies before. Although the familiar feeling he was hoping for has quickly disintegrated.]
I don't even know what half of this means? I'm never gonna get earth magic.
C - Wildcard

Closed to Tohru
He's finally had enough of studying but he's not ready to go home yet. It's just him there now and, well, it's not easy. Especially when his thoughts are still spinning and he can't seem to get a hold on them. It just feels like a lot and he doesn't know where to put it all.
It's times like these when he misses Reborn the most. And wishes his tutor would come out of the woodwork to smack him out of his doldrums or drag him into doing something with his friends. As much as he complains about it, those times do mean a lot to him.
For now though, he's just gazing out into the sunset. There's a half eaten bread roll beside him but he doesn't have much of an appetite.
He sighs.]

She had been quiet, gently watching over him from time-to-time during class. He seemed so down... She wasn't entirely sure as to why, but she hopes that she can help him somehow during their breaks. When the time comes, Tohru finds that-- Tsuna is leaving the classroom. She doesn't feel right leaving him alone at all -- she knows how difficult things can be when you're handling them alone.
She watches him leave, quietly watching before making her way behind him. It's only when she opens the door to the roof that she speaks. )
... Good afternoon, Tsuna. Would it be alright if I joined you?
no subject
Ah...Tohru-san...um, if you want to. I guess. I was just. Thinking.
[Suggesting that he might not be the best conversationalist at this moment. But he's not chasing her off.]
no subject
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you.
( She makes her way to him then, sitting next to him - but keeping some polite distance between them. )
Are you alright? ... It's alight if you don't want to talk about it. I can just keep you company. I... know that sometimes -- it can just help to have someone nearby.
no subject
[He's just a jumpy kid. Blame Reborn for that.
He sighs, looking a little rueful as he turns around and leans against the barrier.]
I'm fine. Just had a lot on my mind lately. Since the whole thing with the mirrors in Celliwig.

Hey! You okay? I - whoa!
[ She trips a bit on the vines, trying to catch the toolbox, wobbling back and forth on the ground. ]

[Tsuna calls, trying to reign his vines back in. It's not the easiest tasks, since the plants, having been reminded that they like growing, seem to be determined to do so.]
I don't know how to make it stop yet!
no subject
[ Della opens the toolbox, digging though... a-ha! A small saw! ]
Aw, sweet! I'll hack these vines to bits!
no subject
I'm trying to turn it off to. The magic I mean.

[ But she says it all cheerfully, as if this is casual conversation about the weather. ]

He's been reading up when he hears his boss approach.]
Earth magic? What part's difficult, Tenth?
[He's never actually trained with his boss. They've never sparred, and he can't help his curiosity.]
no subject
[He smiles, but a little sheepishly at being caught in the midst of his struggles.]
It's just this assignment for my elemental magic class. I can't really get the earth magic to cooperate with the other elements.
no subject
What other element have you tried to use it with and how?
no subject
[Nothing like it describes in the book.]

A - Don't Treep, Man
Theres a bunch of noises coming out of her mouth, and she's waving her arms about. The water she was controlling before hand, dumping entirely onto the crops around them. Which seemed to delight the vines that were constricting around her legs. In a way, this was ironic. This was precisely how she first ended up in this world, entangled between vines. ]
What is with this place!! This is the second time this has happened to me. Put me down!!
[ She's trying very hard, with her fists to be let down. The with hat she wore, having flitted down onto the ground. Resting there where she was standing. ]
no subject
I'm sorry! I'm trying!
[He shouts back.]
Just...just give me a minute!
no subject
Please hurry.
no subject
I'm really sorry about that.
[He says again, head bowed.]
no subject
It's fine, you didn't mean it. [ Mona flicks one of her pig tails. It jostles from the movement and then settles back into place. Her Lunar Moth familiar, finally comes from no where. Fluttering itself back onto the side of Mona's hair. Acting as if it were a hair pin. She reaches down onto the floor then. Dusting off her hat. ]
Having problems?

Her eyes dart up quickly to the person making the trouble and--]
You again! [--she doesn't sound angry, but certainly surprised that the two of them are once again meeting under... painfully similar circumstances.]
no subject
S-sorry. Are you okay?
I'm trying to get them under control!
no subject
[Not terribly surprised to see that it's this young man getting himself into trouble with magic again. Well, at least she has some experience with that.]
Um-- how did this..? Happen?
no subject
I was trying to be careful.
[Really, he was. But it's like turning the gas on too quickly.]

[Ah, you little inquisitive vine, get off her skirt. She shakes the heavy fabric free and steps back, huffing at the audacity of the apparently curious flora.]
Being, ah... overly enthusiastic with your elemental powers, that is.
