He would thank her for helping him, even when she didn't mean to do so, because he's really been bent out of shape mentally. It was nice to just let it all sort of spill over, embarrassing as it was having her suddenly get so angry.

Not that he thinks what he's going through is fair. She wouldn't be the first person upset by his collar, and he's certain he'll have to explain it over and over until the end of his days.
