The truth is, she hasn't learned about quests and such yet; if any of her people have told her about it, it's gone over her head entirely. It's a combination of not having her helpful exposition friend around, and trying to recover from what had happened immediately before she'd dropped into that lake. Turns out, when your magical immunity to poison is taken away from you and you have to recover on your own, it kind of sucks. Who knew!
