However your day may be going, there will be a loud child's scream of terror interrupting whatever it is you are doing.

Should you run towards it, you will see Alice struggling as a man has a hold of her arm as she runs out from an alley. She's trying to push and shove and get out of his grip, but she's only seven and a small thing at that even for her age.

The thug's clothes are singed on his arms, which is how Alice got out in the first place, but the same trick won't work twice.

"Get back here you little brat!"

B: (School)

Alice was shaking, hugging a plush rabbit close to her chest as she stood outside the school gates. The school had been made aware of the threat towards Animal Mages and all the children with the power were to wait on campus until picked up and dropped off by a guardian.

But it didn't really stop Alice from being terrified. She had already been attacked twice, a child made an easy target, after all.

She went to go sit on a part of the garden wall when she heard someone coming. The past few weeks had been enough to make her shake and infinitely warier as she hugged her stuffed plush closer and immediately began looking around for a teacher as she was still on campus.

"W-Who is it!? Who's there!? I'll scream!" she cried out backing up and wondering how fast she needed to be to get back into the school building.

"You don't have to call me 'Sir'. My name's Zidane." And hey, she's trying to smile so that's a good sign.

"I'm positive they won't. I'll even send them a message while the doctor's getting you all cleaned up." Speaking of the doctor, there's the hospital. Sounds like Zidane will stick with her while she's visiting.

"Oh ah... yes, Mr. Zidane."

Her grip tightened at the sight of the hospital. Little children didn't like doctor visits at the best of times, Alice was coming from a place where doctors could and did cause more damage than good. She moved to stand closer to Zidane as they walked in, a nurse at the front seeing them and coming out from behind the counter to greet them both with a warm smile.

"Well hello dears, I'm Nurse Bliss, why don't you go and have a seat, and if I could have you fill out some of this paperwork and we'll get you in to see a doctor as soon as we can?Are you her guardian?"

[tantailizing]

"... Yeah, that works." He figures it would take some effort to get her to stop 'Mr.' so he'll leave it.

Blinking when her hand tightens, he's a little confused. Doctors in his world were a mixed bag, but if the problem just needed some healing magic? Usually things were good. It just sucked when there was actual medicine involved - you'd really think Alchemists would try making things taste better when it's supposed to help.

"Hello, Nurse! Yeah, sure, I can handle that." As for being her guardian. "I'm pretty sure I am."

Not that he's really catching onto what this legal stuff means. He is technically Alice's guardian at the moment... right?
