Many times we're given rhymes / That are quite unsingable
Who: Morgan, anyone who wants in, and a special guest appearance by Blair
What: Quests, nonsense, a catch-all!
Where: Various places depending on prompt.
When: First half of January.
Warnings: ???
1. Brave, Brave, Brave, Brave Sir Morgan (Open)
"Sure, we get all this magic and then we have to go into a no-magic zone." Morgan rolled his eyes, but even with that the complaint still sounded a little forced. Particularly since he kept fidgeting, shrugging or rolling a shoulder -- reminding himself of the familiar weight of his sword, and making sure it was properly positioned for a swift draw. Inside, they would find their greatest fear...
"I know what I'm going to find down here... do you?"
2. We're Shadlin Up And Moving Out (Open)
The short day's light faded, the only condition necessary to enter the Edge of the Dusklight Wood and investigate. Morgan stood just outside the trees, arms folded as he stared into the darkening wood. Striking a cool pose right before an adventure helped psych you up, after all.
He was, he had to admit, a little afraid. Without the full range of magick he was used to, he'd lost a lot of protection and safety, not least among them the ability to heal. But that line of thinking just disgusted him; plenty of people did this sort of thing without that kind of net, and less training than he'd had. Fear felt like an insult to everyone who'd ever taught him.
He huffed a sigh, then rolled his shoulders and pushed the tension out of himself. "You ready to go in?"
3. Magic In Music, Music In Me (Open)
"Neeeeeeh..." That displeased, dissatisfied noise came from the man staring into the vine-wrapped window of a store. A music store, specifically, proudly displaying an item he'd come to realize he really missed: a guitar. Crow had been lucky enough to bring his in, after all, and while Morgan admitted he was better off with his coat and sword, still....
Rubbing the heel of his hand against his eye, he stuck his other hand in his coat pocket, as if somehow his wealth from back home might have appeared there in the thirty seconds since he'd last checked. "I gotta get some money somehow."
An Ordinary Life (closed to Blair)
"You're coming out with me to have a normal day," he'd said to Blair, all cheerful and friendly and not really allowing for dissent. She was so consistently serious and driven that he suspected she'd just train and quest and do literally nothing else, and that was a path to madness!
So, arms folded behind his head, Morgan leaned against a streetlight in one of the nicer sections of Camelot's shopping areas. She'd be here, he was sure; if nothing else, she'd take it as a challenge, and respond appropriately... right?
((I'll match tagging styles. If you want a wildcard of some sort, I'm at

"I'm here as you requested. What plans do you have for how to spend this time?"
no subject
"Hey, Blair!" He stuck up a hand in return, waving a little as he walked closer. "You look great!" Actual normal clothes from her seemed like a miracle.
"Thanks for coming out. Especially since I all but called you out..." Aside from the thanks being necessary -- though he wasn't exactly apologizing for phrasing it in a way that he thought she'd respond to -- he was also engaged in his own verbal aikido, engaging with her swift and sharp attitude with a slower pace to gently redirect her energies. "I have a few ideas, but I wanted to ask first if there's anything you particularly would like to do. Or have wanted to do but never bothered."

But I like looking at homes. I think it's fun...
[ That could just be something she'll do later. She sighs, shaking her head ]
And I don't enjoy video games, to be honest. Since you say relaxing, then perhaps a spa?
no subject
"Though," he added after a moment, "forward as it may be, I'm a little gifted with massage. If you want to bundle that into the spa day..."

She sighs, walking on ahead. She has an idea of where good places to eat might be but she hasn't completely checked them out yet to know.

And, well, she thought she'd humour Morgan. He was someone who she was intrigued by, after all, and she wanted another chance to have a chat with him.
"I believe so. Are you?" she said calmly, her expression obscured by the hood of her cloak as always. Caster...didn't like going in with most of her magic missing, either, but hopefully between the two of them they had enough power to complete the task.
no subject
Here and now, to be specific. No doubt she was a pretty formidable foe back home, but... was that also true without the full suite of magic she'd possessed?
no subject
Morgan was right, though, she was a formidable adversary back home, but here, well...less so.
"Somewhat. Being unable to access my strongest offensive magic is frustrating, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve," with that, she drew a strange, twisted looking dagger she'd been concealing in her robes. "...This should at least do something against any magical beings we come across. It didn't lose all its power."

Who did he think he was, Archer?"Interesting...very interesting. It's a shame, I would have been curious to see what it was capable of at its full strength. Not against me, of course," Caster shrugged, before turning her attention to the woodland. "...Well. Shall we?"
no subject
"Of course," he said, and gallantly extended an arm to her so she could take it and be escorted formally into the forest. Of course, he didn't expect her to do any of that, but he was hoping for an amused smile.
no subject
She kept her dagger - Rule Breaker - close as she began to look around the forest...no sign of anything out of place just yet.
"What rumours have you heard about this venture so far?"

1;
"But there's no point in staying back," he says with a shrug, trying to project more confidence than he actually feels.
no subject
He'll take the lead. Both because he knew what to expect for himself, and because he was less likely to stop if he ran into his partner's fear -- whatever that might end up being.
no subject
He can't not ask - does that mean that the thing this man fears the most is himself? Because that doesn't instill Kaede with a lot of confidence. Does that mean he's dangerous? Should he be worried?
(But Kaede can understand being afraid of what you're capable of, but... He's long since accepted that. It doesn't seem a likely fear to show up here.)
"Why would it be another you?"
no subject
He took the lead, stepping into the cavern proper with his hands in the pockets of his coat. Whatever awaited wouldn't respond to his sword, after all. Better to just keep that sheathed.
no subject
It sounds absolutely buckwild to him. He falls in step behind Morgan, looking around the cavern and doing a poor job of hiding his nerves. It's... Much different than any sort of trial he's had to undergo before.
no subject
Morgan had no problem with the Isle or having been brought here, for obvious reasons. This sort of thing was pretty much old hat for him.
no subject
For lack of a better word. He's not quite sure he follows, but he doesn't not believe the man.
"So... You think your greatest fear is an alternate version of yourself?"
no subject
Or had. Morgan didn't and couldn't acknowledge that his current self could never go down that path. Fear, after all, was not so easily escaped.
no subject
He presses his lips together, brow furrowing and head tilting just slightly. He can admit there's a lot of things he doesn't know and doesn't understand, but...
"If you know this could be how you end up and you don't want to be like that, doesn't that mean you no longer have that potential? Because you can change who you're going to be if you know what needs to be done, can't you?"
