"Thank you both. That sounds lovely." Marianne's side-stepping of their hospitality is one part ingrained politeness and one part Marianne just being Marianne. As such, she doesn't put up any more resistance to the offer of tea and company. It's been a weird month, and the familiarity of tea time with friends will do a lot for her nerves.

She smiles after Byleth as she starts to take her leave, noting that the animal traits are actually quite adorable on her. If she were in Edelgard's place, she would find the situation rather lucky (all things considered).

As she and Edelgard move toward the den, Marianne circles back to her question. "It has been, yes. I started training after the mossatee... um, mishap. And this situation has accelerated the need for it. I've gotten to the point where I'm rather convincing when I turn into smaller animals." Thus the fact that she's been able to sneak around as a cat.
