[ Anyone who comes seeking Gwion will find her at the bar... Frustratedly challenging other Celliwig barhoppers to arm wrestling. She's doing pretty good, and it's distracting her from not knowing whether or not anyone's actually going to show up to help. She definitely can't get past a legendary guardian('s great great grandchild) on her own. ]

[Eleven hustles to the bar after the warning goes out but it's only after he's arrived that he realizes he's not sure what the person he's seeking looks like.

He ends up walking up random patrons and tapping them on the shoulder and asking them...]

Are you Gwion?

[ Eventually one of them points him in the right direction. She's not unknown. She's been living in Celliwig for some time now. ]

The one and only. [ She shoos the guy who just lost to her, which opens up the seat across from her. ] Do you arm wrestle or are you here about my message?

Yeah!

[He says brightly.]

I mean--

[dammit]

I mean I do arm wrestle a bit but I'm here about the thing.

...Do you really think King Arthur is in trouble?

Yes, and you come back here when you're less busy saving the day, I'll owe you a challenge.

[ Hopefully he's here to help anyway. ]

I'm a seer. Which, you know, powers don't work right now but a long time ago I saw everything that ever was and ever shall be. Not great on my memory, and it blacked out two weeks before the calamity along with everyone else's ability to see the future. But I started getting fragments of memories in dreams, and the one I had last night says Arthur needs help.

[Eleven nods. Back home people had foreseen his own birth and every step he'd take as the Luminary along his travels, right up until the Fall. Sometimes it had been hard to imagine it was possible but a guy could be beaten over the head only so many times before he started believing in things like hammers.]

But he's in that Hall thing, right? Isn't he safe in there? Seems like nobody else can get in.

There's something in there. The dream I had, Merlin was trapped and Arthur's eyes were wrong. There was an energy in the mirrors that was cold and unearthly. I don't know what could've gotten in unseen by Glewlywd.

[luminatus]

[He nearly yells, then covers his mouth.]

Is it somethin' coming through the uh wossname... From the fairy kingdom's side?

From Elphame? [ She waves to let the bartender know everything's fine despite the yelling, flashing him a smile before going back to speaking to the Luminary. ] I don't know. I can't see why it would be. They need King Arthur to reclaim Excalibur. It's a sword made only for him; you can see what happens when anyone else ends up with that much power already. But faeries are hard to read.

It's not Celliwig, is it?

[He rubs at his forehead.]

I mean some kinda wizard or some such that's angry folks let us back in? I don't....really know what the history between this city and Camelot is like but what I've heard has seemed kinda rough.

[isleofnpcs]

I don't think so. Celliwig's people are strict, but you all passed the tests and the people of Celliwig are the..

[ Angry folks though. She seems to think of something she hadn't before. Angry about Camelot getting let back in? That's.. obvious. She would think it would be obvious that it wouldn't just get dropped so simply, too. ]

They put up a barrier over the river to stop more spirits from coming through the other week. The ones that attacked the visitors from Camelot last month.

[luminatus]

Yeah, I remember them...

[His brow furrows.]

D'you think one of 'em coulda sneaked in? Or...

[He touches a hand to his mouth for a moment, then continues in a hushed tone.]

...Wait, could Arthur be possessed?

[It sounds absurd, even as he says it but his mind immediately recalls the Fall, and how Mordegon had remained undetected for so long by possessing the body of the King of Heliodor.

Angry spirits had their ways.]

[ She shrugs, shaking her head. ]

Like I said, I don't know what exactly is happening, I just know what i saw.

[luminatus]

Right. Yeah.

[He sits back.]

So we gotta get past that big guy...

Do you know if he can see through illusions?

[isleofnpcs]

A master class in illusion might get past him, but you don't know what's behind that door. Sneaking one person in might be doable, but enough to really be safe...?

[luminatus]

[He shakes his head.]

I'm just thinkin'...I'm not very good at strategies or anything, I'm not very clever.

But I know light magic... I'm not a master but I get how it works.

Maybe if a few of us combine our magic we can distract him... And then some other folks could slip in.

It should work. You may not be clever, but neither is Glewlwyd. He's strong and stubborn, not smart. I'd bet it could work.

[luminatus]

[He nods.]

I dunno many people but I'm sure I can find someone who does and we can...ah... We can get a group and figure this out.

[ She nods firmly. ]
