"Heh, how old are you, boy?" it wasn't the first time she had heard of kids doing such big feats. Maybe it's an age thing? Glancing at the teen beside her, Elza couldn't help but note the subtle similarities in that kid, Riou, and this one. Both being too trusting to a fault for one thing.
That owl of his certainly seemed proud of the kid for his efforts, as she was sure all those close to him were as well. Glancing down at that puff ball, Elza watched it as it squeaked and looked around. What was it looking for?
“I’m currently seventeen,” he replies, “In a couple of weeks, I’ll be turning eighteen by the end of the month.”
Man, he still can’t believe that he will able to see that day coming, considering that he has went through many things many teenagers should never go through in his world. He then sees Rose squeaking and staring at whatever is catching her attention, it gives him quite the chuckle as her eyes widen up.
“Oh my, Rose. What are you trying to look for?” he asks his Pygmy Puff familiar as he scoops her up with his hands.
If the age of eighteen was important to his world, Elza didn't know. She just assumed it held some significance otherwise the kid wouldn't have brought it up. "Congratulations?" She more questioned than offered.
Watching the boy with his familiar was interesting. It seemed he was quite taken with his just as that woman had been with hers. She couldn't think of anything more irritating than having her fool of a familiar hanging around for scraps of her attention. The small amount of time it forced itself on her was enough.
"Pushy little thing, isn't it?" Elza observed with a teasing smile.
Funny how Rose likes to pokes her nose into everything and yet she makes it more adorable. Harry couldn’t help chuckling at the thought as he gives her a gentle petting; the little Pygmy Puff purrs happily as it happens, he knows very well that she can very mischievous at times and it can sometimes annoy Hedwig too, though it is mostly of concern from the snowy owl than anything else.
“Rose just so happens to like to meet people and creatures in Avalon a lot: she just can’t help it and she likes to make new friends all the time,” he replies while failing to cut out the laughter.
This kid was so much a kid, Elza observed as he laughed at his familiar's antics. The innocence despite whatever he went through obviously hadn't been broken.
At the same time, if he familiar had done that with her, she probably would have shot it. Elza gave a small amused huff before she leant back to lay one again in the grass. The move bringing the long rifle into full show as it last in the grass against her side.
For the longest time, Harry never thought so much about taking things slowly ever since Voldemort’s return and slow rise of power over his world until he defeated him and came to Avalon. It feels so strange for him to be in this state and yet it also gives the freedom not to worry too much about his life being in constant danger.
Rose squeaks a lot as she begins to twirl around on his hands, she has always liked to dance a lot even if her dancing is mostly turning around and around like a spinning top.
In contrast Elza found this stillness boring. She felt if it went on too long it would dull her skills and senses which would ultimately end with her premature death. She didn't think she'd miss the hunt as much as she did, even if it ultimately broke her dreams.

Glancing up to the sky above, the only sounds between them were that of the soft breeze and the pink puff ball squeaking and keeping that kid entertained.
Sensing her drifting thoughts, a shadow crept over her face and chest as the IronMoon phased in hovering over her supine form.
With its lazy grin, it shook up and down then spun on the spot.
“Oh hello there,” Harry is taking notice of the IronMoon floating over the gunner, “You must be the lady’s familiar, right?”
Rose turns around to see the IronMoon and begins to squeak at it, she has gone back to befriending mode again, whereas Hedwig is giving it a blank confused stare, not sure of what to make of it. Harry hasn’t see one like it before so he is pretty intrigued by its appearance.
Of course it had to come and bother her. The blasted thing seem to take pleasure in reading her thoughts then making a point of it by showing up. She stared at the thing with disinterest even as she heard the kid beside her pipe up with excitement.
The IronMoon in question turned on its axis to stare at Harry with its amber coloured eyes. It didn't say anything but just shuddered up and down.
Rose is clearly taking an interest with the IronMoon as she gazes at it with her wide blue eyes. Harry probably notices that this thing doesn’t seem to stop grinning at him, Rose, and Hedwig as if it wants to be friendly with.
“Hey um, this floating moon-like creature,” he then asks Elza, “Is this a creature from your world? I never encountered something like this before in my world.”
Elza lazily opened up one eye to peer at the kid at his question. Sliding her attention over the floating moon, the gunner huffed softly when it began to slowly loom over Rose.
"It's called an ironmoon," Elza said carelessly. Offering Harry a subtle smirk, she added, "Back in my world these things will attack anyone traveling between towns."
As soon as he gets the name of the ever-grinning creature, he is really amazed. The name does describe what it is about. Rose couldn’t stop looking and squeaking at the IronMoon looming over her.
“Ah, I get it now,” he nods in agreement, “So the IronMoons in your world attack plenty travellers trying to get to their destination? That sounds really scary to think about.”
“There aren’t that many that I can think of immediately, but there are these ragged creatures with boney arms who could suck the happiness and even the lives of people who are unfortunate enough to cross paths with them,” Harry tells the gunner, “For some reason, they were even used as guards for a notorious prison in my world.”
"We have those... They're government officials," Elza said in jest with a subtle chuckle. Or to be more precise the Elders of her Guild at the very least.
Closing her eyes again, she remained relaxed in the grass. "Sounds like a miserable prison to be in though." Not that she'd ever been in one... Well not in the sense that this kid was talking about anyway.
“Yeah, I know how it feels to deal with unpleasant government officials: they can be difficult to deal with,” Harry adds while not trying to shudder in dismay at the thought of Umbridge and Fudge, “Very dreadful place to be in. I once know of someone who was sent to the prison from a crime he wouldn’t ever do. The whole story behind it is pretty messed up.”
The mention of the story being messed up did catch her attention. Raising a slender brow, one eye opened to give Harry her attention. She didn't say anything further though while she waited for the kid to continue.
“This guy that I just mentioned, he’s my godfather and one of my dad’s best friends. He and my Mum thought about making him our Secret Keeper when things started to get tense, but at the last minute, they changed their minds and had someone else in their group to take the role.
Unfortunately, he sold us out to a man wanting to get rid of me and he killed my parents as the result. Furious, my godfather tracked down the guy who betrayed my parents’ trust and confronted him, but since they can change into animals, he trapped him in a corner by turning into a rat and framed him for supposedly killing someone else. I didn’t know about the whole situation until I was 13.”
Elza knew that their definitions of messed up were quite different... But then again given her upbringing there probably weren't many things that would upset her unlike regular people.
She was about to say something but then paused as this kid's story played through her mind again. Messed up or not... As loath as she was to admit it... There was some similarities to her own past.
"Sometimes even angels can be turned into demons," Elza muttered quietly in return. The sound of two guns firing echoed in her mind before she added. "People do what they need to do in life despite consequences... Even if it's to their deficit."
Harry nods in agreement. Who would ever thought that Peter would betray the very friends he had and trusted? Even if he knows what has led him down that path, a part of him feels a little uncertain at times of where the ex-Maurader’s loyalties lie in.
Then again, it is basically human nature at its worst, motivated by self preservation and greed, so Elza does have a point when she gave her thoughts on the matter.
“You’re definitely right on with that. I do know that this can happen a lot: that former friend did betrayed any trust my dad and his other friends had up to that point,” he sadly sighs, “And in the end, his actions did eventually caught up to him and it was just sad, just sad.”
"At times I suppose it could be," Elza said in reply. Did Clive find himself sad after she had died...? Well to be fair she hadn't yet made it that far yet after that bullet had pierced her chest. Watching the clouds rolling over the blue sky though, Elza without a doubt already knew the answer.
"We all make our own choices kid, and there's little use in mourning the dead," She carelessly offered getting back to business. Emotions were things best left at the back door after all. "You've got a good heart, kid."
“Oh, why thanks, I appreciate it,” he isn’t sure what else to say next, but at least there is some good out of it.
There is no point of seeping for the dead for this long: he had wished that he could’ve done more to save his godfather from a cruel death years ago, but it is are out of his control. If only Peter hadn’t betrayed that trust his parents had bestowed upon him or they could’ve just gave Sirius that role instead.
Elza didn't say anything in return to his thanks. The gunner didn't feel the need to. Instead she went back to relaxing in the grass while the IronMoon bopped up and down around Rose and Harry.
Rose gleefully squeaks at the IronMoon with her eyes wide open while Harry goes back to looking at it in pure awe; Hedwig doesn’t seem to be interested in stating at the crescent moon like creature as she is more concerned with resting from flying around the city’s perimeters.
