002 - Here To Help!

⚔️️ WHAT: Cooking for the breakfast buffet, training grounds, shopping and chilling afterwards, quests.

Starter Hotel:

[ Eclair hasn't found a new place to move out of yet. She doesn't need to, though. As an android she can forego luxury, and everything is convenient in this hotel they've been provided. The free breakfast meals every morning is nice so Eclair volunteered to join the efforts in making them. Before sunrise, Eclair is already up and working with the 3rd shift crew in preparing and making the food. She chuckles at the sight of herself in a chef coat every time she sees her reflection, giving her an excited smile as she works diligently in the kitchen. She is soon given a task to peel some potatoes, and much to her surprise, she sees someone else joining the effort in helping out. It's a welcome sight, and there's space in her table to do their task. Eclair gestures to the free space as she greets her fellow helpful otherworlder ]

They're using the other tables, but there's space here for you.

Training Grounds:

[ Back at the Red Spring, Eclair stands at the sidelines to watch the fighters train. From weapons to bare hands to magic, they're all exerting great efforts to stay in shape - something Eclair always admired in humans and other organic species. She stands, greeting anyone who approaches near her with a hello and a gentle bow. ]

If you know anyone in need of healing or a partner, I'll be here.

Camelot:

[ Before night falls, Eclair takes some time for herself to go shopping. She's been working ever since she got here, so she's gotten enough money to buy herself something nice - one of which she's wearing* now. By the door of the hotel that a lot of them are staying at, Eclair watches her familiar enter the hotel doors much to the guard's dismay. Eclair vouched for her cub, scratching at it's cheeks and giggling at how adorable the bear is. ]

Ready to go?

[ She asks the bear, but she glances at another person who seem to have the same idea as her. ]

( OOC: Not my best starter and it's open ended for a reason. If we have plans or you would rather do quests or some post-training fun, let me know and I'll make you a starter. Think of me as a ghost. Currently residing in a doll.

[ Eclair is kind of amused by Jean's reaction, expecting it from the start before she even mentioned the fact of her android nature. It never gets old seeing people look so puzzled. She takes a leisurely pace, eyes glancing at Jean to gauge her incoming reaction to that revelation. ]

[That sounded like an interesting concept. And something she'd never heard of before, outside of stories she was told as a child.]

How... how does that work?

I'm a machine, in simpler words. An automaton, is perhaps another word you'll be more familiar with?

Hmmm.

[She thinks of the ruin guards back home, and looks at Eclair for a moment.]

You don't look anything like the machines back near Mondstadt. But that's probably a good thing.

[ceraunos]

Probably. Either way, I'll take that as a compliment.

[ Eclair is bleeding edge technology even in her world that's already really advanced. She supposes not everyone is from the same world, with the majority of people she's met being from a world technologically on par with Camelot or earlier. She's met Paimon, but the spritely girl said Teyvat instead of Monstadt, so Eclair remains unaware of their shared world origin ]

You don't look bad yourself, miss. I'm guessing you were a soldier?

[actinggrandmaster]

You should.

The ruin guards around Mondstadt, and well, the entirety of Teyvat, are clunky creations that attack people who come near them.

Nothing like you, you look like a human.

[She pauses.]

Oh, sort of? I'm a knight in the knights of Favonius.

[ceraunos]

A knight? It's no wonder I feel so safe and secure around you.

[ She distracts Jean with a slight tease, leaning forward a bit as they continue to walk. But she gives Jean back her space not long after, circling back on the mention of a word she's familiar with ]

And so would Mondstadt and Teyvat, I'm willing to bet. I've happen to meet someone from your world. A delightful girl named Paimon. Do you know her well?

[actinggrandmaster]

That means that I'm doing my job well.

[She smiles, and she might blush a little when Eclair leans forward. Pretty woman in her space and all. But, she doesn't comment on it... she doesn't mind it, really.]

Ah, yes, I know Paimon. She's normally with the Traveler, who I worked with for a while back at home. I don't think the Traveler has arrived here though. [At least, not at this point...]

Let me guess, did she manage to convince you to find her some food?

[ceraunos]

Not yet, but she did help me out in cooking food for the breakfast buffet. She's a fine assistant.

[ She wonders about this Traveler. Anyone being called "The X" tend to be a badass, much like her human Sofia who bares many nicknames ]

I believe this Traveler is what got us to meet in the first place. She was looking for him when she first arrived. They must be very close.

[actinggrandmaster]

Well, you were helping her with food. She's very, uh, food motivated.

[She glances up at the floating anemo slime.]

I'm not surprised. Paimon and the Traveler were always together in Mondstadt. She was probably worried about him.

[ceraunos]

She was, and I understood her worry. I made a promise to keep an eye out for her companion partially because of it, in fact...

[ While she still smiles, there's a somber note in there that lasted briefly. She longs for someone familiar to her to come to that same shore they all were washed from. ]

I'm not sure if this is a good thing. But you're lucky to have people from your world here. It makes your stay away from home more pleasant, doesn't it?

[actinggrandmaster]

Well, it does... but...

[She sighs.]

A lot of people here are from my home, Mondstadt. Which makes me worry that there's not many people left to protect the citizens. The people here are knights, or others sworn to protect the city, so, with us gone...

[ceraunos]

So you don't believe that time is frozen in our respective worlds while we are here?

[ That's what she's been told when she arrived here, and that's what everyone is told. But of course, it's normal to not just buy into everything said to you. So Eclair understands. ]

It does seem awfully convenient...
