OPEN ⇨ Lavaft Behind
Fight slime if need. Not too hard.
[ He doesn't actually know that for sure, but it sounds like he's trying to reassure his companion that this is going to be an easy task. ]
OPEN ⇨ Summer Fever!
As he moves, he may narrowly dodge someone else who is also helping out around here.
Or, he may hear something fall so he hurries over to help it get picked up.
Either way, he seems to be an effective and diligent worker. ]

Hey, Directionless Busybody! Come here! ( A wave... c'mere. ) Got something for you!
no subject
Well, he is here to be helpful, after all. ]
Okay. Not Busybody. Razor.
[ There's an intent stare. ]
CLOSED ⇨ Spotted Dicklivery
He looks at the item and then curious sniffs at it before looking to Izumi. ]
This food?
[ He sounds unsure. ]
no subject
and as for the package... )
Hm... ( the name rings some vague bells, but she can't say she's ever tried it herself. ) I think it's a type of... cake?
( it looks like one, anyway. if Omi were here, she'd ask him about it, see if he could make one, but he isn't. )
no subject
[ Interesting, and almost unappealing, name for a cake. Spotted gives the impression that something's gone bad or was once an animal or something to Razor. He seems a little surprised by the information. But, he supposes if he were to smell it, he'd better understand it.
if he were to - which he's not going to. For now. ]
Never heard. Not at home. Don't eat lots sweets.
[ He's a simple, meat and potatoes type of boy. ]
Like meat more. Been here?
[ He means, referencing the place around them. He's...comfortable here. And it shows in his fairly relaxed demeanor. Despite that, he does appear to be equipped to deal with any problems. ]
no subject
Izumi shakes her head when Razor asks that question, though. )
Normally, I don't have any reason to come out this way. ( her experience with the countryside is limited to the path that's travelled to get to Camelot, really. ) Do you come here often?
( she's... guessing. )
no subject
But, her assumption is right. ]
Yes! Like out here. Sleep often. [ He - does look rather woodsy. ]
Know woods well. It's quiet. See stars.
[ He seems rather pleased with that. ]
Can trust to know way.
no subject
Of course. Lead the way.
( but while they walk... )
What do you do for fun, Razor?
no subject
I -- like to hut.
[ The things that he does because he likes, he's started to realize are things others seem to do because they have to. ]
And talk to animals. Animal magic. And -- like to see stars. Izumi -- like it here?
[ He asks carefully. ]
no subject
but questions first! )
Yeah. It's really peaceful. ( the city is great and all, and she definitely couldn't imagine being this far from a theatre district twenty four seven, but once in a while, something like this really helps clear the mind. )
What do you talk about with the animals?
( she wonders if that includes familiars like her lion, because while Izumi has studied up on light magic, and a little on cognitive (to help Juza), she's never had cause to really check out the other types or what they can do. )
no subject
[ He walks next to her easily, glancing as he talked. He's not the most talkative of people, so it's hard to explain that it's not always about having a conversation. ]
Sometimes... just listen. Let them talk. Do nothing.
[ He nods his head. ]
Sometimes...that helps.
no subject
it helps? hm. she supposes it must be pretty lonely here in the long term, so that makes sense. but it does make her wonder; )
Razor-kun, is there anyone else from your world here?
( walk walk walk. it's a really beautiful area, that's for sure. )
no subject
Yes. Many. Bennett is best friend. Venti is bard.
[ He considers for a moment. ]
Wolf at home like Venti's music. Klee was here, she is family. Went home. Is others, too.
[ Those are the most important ones, though, to him. ]
Bennet...unlucky. Talks lots. Cooks. Klee is trouble.
[ He's not sure why she asked. ]
Like...to be alone lots, though.
no subject
unfortunately, she doesn't know any of them. )
They sound like good people. ( well, that and the fact that they're already people Razor deems friends, which speaks to their character, she'd like to think. )
Some of the actors I work with are here too. ( there's nothing but fondness in her tone, even as she adds; ) They're pretty talkative.
( it still isn't quite the same as having the full Mankai company around her, but... she's happy she has any of it. )
no subject
[ Unlike Andrius, Razor didn't simply distrust humans because of being human. He was more willing to engage because he was one. But he still had trouble doing that, he realized. He didn't understand a lot of how they talked to people or the way they acted or felt things. He was still learning quite a lot.
But despite that, he trusted them. Especially the ones he mentioned. ]
They are good?
[ He asks, in regard to her people. He has to assume they are because Izumi is. ]
Don't know actors.
no subject
Uh-huh.
( but wait! )
... You've never been to the theatre before, have you?
( it's so simple and obvious now she thinks about it, but with the theatre being present in her life since day one, it's hard to always remember that some people just. know nothing of it. especially in a place like this, where there's so many worlds with different situations.
and situations like Razor's. )
It's a building where people perform stories for an audience.
no subject
[ But it must be important to her if she knows people in theaters and actors, which he had figured are two things related. He's never had a reason to know about things like that, of course. He knows of bards and performers - the wolves were a fan of that bard's music. Se when she explains it, that is the closest comparison he has - a bard. ]
Oh. Never seen. Like bards?
[ He asks. He has a hard time imagining a building just for performing stories. ]
no subject
Kind of! ( the storytelling aspect and the theatricality of bards is definitely in line with the theatre itself. ) Bards tell a story with their songs. But actors play a character in a story. One will be the hero, another the villain...
( she takes a few steps ahead and spins back to face Razor, a smile on her face as she does. ) They bring the story to life on the stage for the audience!
no subject
Hm. Hard to imagine.
[ He doesn't get it. Then, he offers her a smile all the same because the idea of it sounds like it might be neat - if it's storytelling is similar to a bard just done...differently. ]
I want to see, though. If here.
no subject
I'll invite you when we put on a play!
( but for now, they've got a delivery to continue with, right? )
no subject
[ He does seem pretty eager by that idea, even though it's sometimes hard to tell with how he tends to talk. He likes Izumi, he is glad she loves theater, and he wants to enjoy it, too. ]
Would like to.
[ And so, he marches on, almost forgetting their goal in the first. He is attentive, still. So attentive that he shifts a little, two ears - wolf ears, in fact - appear on the top of his head (intentionally) so that he can listen to the area around them more diligently. But, with the ears comes the tail (less intentionally), too - swaying slightly. ]
no subject
help. this is fucking adorable and Izumi has to bite the inside of her cheeks to resist the urge to comment while they walk. oh it looks so fluffy.
yet more walking, and they get further down the road to where they're meant to be, but then... )
Did you hear that?
( it's getting dark and that definitely sounded like a noise. oh no. )
no subject
Yes, heard. Dangerous.
[ He twitches his nose and sniffs the air. ]
no subject
wait.
dangerous?
ah heck. she's still a long way from being competent with her light magic, but it's all she has, and she lets the sensation of magic tingle in her free hand. )
O-okay. ( she knows Razor can do this. after all, he holds that sword like it's an extension of himself, but still... all these teenagers who are so willing to throw themselves into danger for her. feels some type of way, man. ) I can use my light magic if you need it.
( blinding an opponent? hiding Razor? she hasn't mastered shields yet, though. )
