Getting an A in Wedding Puppets; Wei Wuxian

Although the constant rain and oppressive heat are certainly no reason to skip his daily training, Lan Wangji had not spent more time than strictly necessary before heading back to the inn today. On the way back, he'd passed by one of the places advertising supplies for that wedding custom mentioned on the quest board and, on a whim, he'd purchased a few sheets of red paper of tolerable quality, a few lengths of red fabric, thread and golden wire and some tools. There are ways to serve a place that don't require the use of a sword, after all, and it's only dutiful to take part in a festival meant to contribute positive energy to this world.

He now sits in his room with his hair still wet and loose from a cold bath, though his only concession to the heat is the fact that his outer robe is hung up to dry. Supplies neatly arranged on the table and on the floor around him, he sets to cutting the paper to size. He's not quite sure which size or material will work best, not being familiar with the traditional techniques for this particular custom, but he has enough to try a few different approaches, and nowhere else to be.
