⚠️ WARNINGS: The Teru Teru Bozu song is actually kinda creepy? It's got an execution in it. Otherwise probably nothing.

A. Wetdding Bells! (Quest)
[ There are a handful of things Taichi is an absolute mess about, and there are a handful of things that Taichi is surprisingly good at even though he doesn't seem like the type. With how excitable he is and not necessarily patient, it often confuses people to learn that he's good with his hands. Arts and crafts, particularly paper crafts and sewing, are specialties of his. A specialty he's happy to show off while surrounded by a group of kids at a little cafe right now. There's one he was obviously working on sewing really nicely on the table, but since a bunch of kids were asking about it, he decided to show them it's something anyone can make even if they can't sew!! ]

Teru teru bozu are from Japan! That's where I'm from! Though I've never heard anything about marrying them before... Anyway, it's super easy, you can even do it with coffee filters or napkins.

[ It's very simple, and he shows the group of kids to scrunch a couple of napkins and stuff them inside the other, then tie the head off with one side of the string long to hang it from something and draw a face on it. ]

Oh- but you can't forget the most important part! Let me teach you guys the song or the spell won't be complete!

[ Taichi proceeds to get a group of kids singing the teru teru bozu song... which is fine until like the last part, which Taichi doesn't even think about being weird because that's how it goes? Either way, feel free to join in if you know the song, or yell at him for teaching kids about cutting off monk heads, or ask him how to make the more advanced sewn versions he's making himself! ]

B. Street Act + Advertising!
[ It's not exactly the way the theater advertises here normally, so Taichi's out here with only one or two reluctant actors who feel like they should definitely not be acting on the street for free as opposed to the theater. At the very least, he got someone to hand out flyers for their actual play while Taichi tries to act on his own with the audience as participants. Taichi is really throwing himself into it though, and if anyone joins in with him, he'll happily incorporate them into the scene.

And so, with tears in his eyes and a grown-ass man looking dead-eyed behind him, Taichi grasps someone's hand with his own. It looks like there's genuine pain in his eyes. ]

Please, you have to help me..! My sister was kidnapped by the yakuza, I need your help to rescue her!

[ Well, he's kind of an idiot, so he forgot not everyone knows what a yakuza is. Someone may want to save him on that, too.. or pretend to be a yakuza and come "kill" him, he's pretty great at death scenes.

..Or wait until he's done and ask about the flyer he just handed out, for an actual theater performance! Taichi's neither of the main actors, but he is in the background of the promo photo on the flyer. He has a couple of lines and he's so proud of it ok!!! ]

[ He knows he can but he doesn't think he ever actually has seen it live!? He couldn't make it to the Valentine's live due to certain circumstances involving getting kicked out of the inn. ]

[ ...Has he?

Taichi looks like he's processing for a second as he thinks about it. ]

Wait, that's creepy?!

[saxsongs]

It's about time you did. Though you should sing something as well, okay?

[He leads the way to the karaoke booth, asking a waiter to bring them water for now so they can drink something between songs.]

[saxsongs]

[Ren nods. So do the kids, still looking pretty shocked.]

Kid's songs sometimes surprise you with their lyrics.

[ As unfazed as Juza is now by Gokudera snapping back, he also doesn't react to all that juicy dogs and saucy meat talk. Though, in fact, he's even sort of agreeing with Gokudera now, isn't he? ]

Yeah, like gelato 'n cannoli. [ Is Juza gonna pick up the straightman-act? Not really, except for his face naturally. ] And tiramisu...

[ His stomach is about to participate in this conversation, and Juza turns from scoffing at Gokudera to Taichi, non-scoffingly. ] You wanna go grab a bite?

[ It's always good to get a treat after some street acting. ]

No problem! Hm.. I only know a few songs from this world though.

...Now I'm thinking about all the creepy kids songs out there!? Quick Ren, sing something to cheer us up!

Haaaah...

( well, it's not without its drawbacks, yet. like the ridiculous amount of stamina she used fixing those mistakes, the magic which is still draining in an attempt to keep it from flickering. )

This is... harder than I thought.

( but she's gonna!! make it happen. just a little bit more... and it seems to still, holding its shape more or less. maybe a bit rough around the edges, not exactly a clean cube shape, more like a bulging cardboard box. but it's recognisable, she thinks. )

That's such a cool attitude! Family is the most important thing, you gotta protect them! Right, Juza-san?

[ After what they went through with Azami, Taichi likes to think of them as some kind of family. You don't get into a fight with a rival yakuza family while not being a yakuza if you aren't family of some kind, after all. ]

There are plenty of good things, you're right.. heh, it doesn't change my favorite though! Mm... I'm hungry though. Do you want to come?

[ Their new friend is totally invited. ]

[Gokudera looks on at Juza, then at Taichi. This guy... he's familiar. He nods.]

I owe you big time for helping me. So, if you'll have me. I'll buy you one.

[A soft nod, and he isn't frowning quite so hard anymore. He'd apologize for punching Juza, but for now, he'd rather stay standoffish, be careful around the darker haired guy.]

[ It's not just Kumon and Muku, and even more than Autumn troupe all of Mankai company's family. Juza agrees with a solemn nod. Maybe there's not as much of a difference to see for a stranger, like Gokudera, but the scowl on his face isn't so deep anymore either. ]

Right. [ Here's something he gets; it's just like Taichi says. And it wasn't even acting when they beat up those punks. Although this time it is, they don't gotta buddy up right away, still. But: ]

I want somethin' sweet... [ Obviously. And Gokudera's invited from all sides. Just what's the audience gonna think, abandoned for lunch and dessert... ] Let's go.

[arf]

[ Taichi remembers the audience before they all take off, and grins. ]

And there you have it- take care of your loved ones and you'll make new friends along the way! Fin!

[ At the very least, no one else from Taichi's troupe in Avalon was involved in the street act, so they can just blame it on him and not associate the act with the theater... ]

[Gokudera definitely has no idea about these guys. He knows Taichi vaguely and Juza only from this interaction. He can't tell any shift in expression when he's focusing on owing a debt Taichi may not even be sure exists.]

So get something sweet. Is this a mission for Italian food now?

[The silver-haired boy gives no thought to their audience, and would likely be willing to take some of the blame. He's sort of the odd man out.]

[ What a mess...... but street acting's all about selling it. ]

What? You don't like sweets? [ They just about made up and are about to be enemies again, it almost looks like with Juza's glare. The fact of it is, though, that there's just more dessert for him if Gokudera doesn't have any. ]

I don't know any places here...... Oi, Taichi?

[ 'cause he can't trust that other guy's tastes yet. Actually, as little as Taichi knows about the debt, Juza doesn't even have a name. ]

[ That definitely went haywire, but they survived at least. It's a good thing no one expects street acts to be well-written masterpieces. Once they're out of earshot, he sighs. ]

That was a a close one... I didn't expect you two to actually almost fight! If we can find an Italian place, they always have food and then those um... calloniis?

[ He means cannoli. ]

[Gokudera is just going to focus on the food aspect and not how he pretty much botched the street performance.]

I didn't say that.

[He's simply responding to 'I want somethin sweet' with 'get something sweet' which is not an offer of an opinion. Just... there's what you want, so get it, Juza. Gokudera's a bit uncomfortable with the way he's being glared at. Have all the sweets, Juza. The silver-haired boy appreciates all food as long as it isn't poisonous.]

Calloniis?!

[He's taken aback. Excuse him, what even...]

You mean cannolis, right? Ah, I'd prefer a Tiramisu. If there's anywhere decent with sausage for you, then there should be sweets as well.

Yeah, cannolis. [ Juza looks determined just to say it, there's simply no stopping his sweets-focused stare.

If Gokudera likes Tiramisu, they're on the same side after all. In that case, there's something he should say, maybe clear up the entire misunderstanding and start fresh and not in their "roles". Juza seems to stop before they're even really on their trek to find a restaurant. ]

I didn't really take Taichi's little sister. [ Even if they end up in a mafia cover-up kitchen, the act's got nothing real to it. ] You got that?

Cannelloni.. cannoli... What's tiramisu?

[ Now he's just going to order those two because that's all he can remember how to pronounce. Maybe they'll put sausage in his cannoli. (His cannelloni...)

Yeah, Mi-chan is back home with Ma-kun and our parents.

[ Taichi isn't 100% sure but he saw some foreign-language-looking restaurants in this direction when he was scoping out places to take Hikaru, so he takes a step ahead to lead them that way. ]

[Tiramisu has a bitter taste as well as sweet, and Gokudera likes how it's sort of boozey, too. He's looking forward to it, but won't be expressing that excitement. Instead, he nods at Juza's clarification, then lights a cigarette.]

I don't think I've seen you before, sweet-lover. You can call me Gokudera.

[He already knows Taichi, since the whole arrow-through-the-foot incident back in February.]

Tiramisu is like a coffee cake. Think cream and cocoa, coffee and liquer.

[He seems a little more relaxed now that he knows there hasn't been any legitimate kidnapping.]

If she were though, at least you know that people would be willing to help...

[Most of his songs aren't appropriate to kids either, you know. But he starts singing a neutral, not creepy song that comes to his mind.]

[ Taichi has never heard this song in his life and it's definitely not the kind of music he likes, but he likes Ren and Ren's voice so he's paying attention and claps at the end. ]

That sound somehow doesn't fit your image, hehe.

I had to choose something that was out of characters. You know how my songs usually are...
