I think there's more to it. I think it's a state of mind. Either that, or neither me nor my familiar realized what kind of power would be unleashed.
[When Hijikata mentions that he's never seen Lyon, Darin looks around the room.]
Lyon's usually skulking around somewhe— Oh. There he is.
[He points behind Hijikata to the top of a bookshelf. There, ominously, is an enormous Antlion, about the size of a large dog, perched silently and still. But it clicks its mandibles, indicating that it is, in fact, watching.]
