"Is it complex? It seems so small and simple, compared to the garments that I saw others make when the traders came."

And yet it's obvious she's struggling with it. She sets her new one with her first attempts — one extremely bad one with more of a scribble than an actual face, and one... attempt... which didn't really become a doll before she decided the mistakes were too grievous and abandoned it halfway through.

She should probably throw it away, but it's a useful marker for her progress.
