[He smiles, still a little sheepish about his own ideas. This world has really opened up a new side of nerdiness for Izuku. He can't believe how much he loves this stuff...

Most stones and gems can act as conduits for magic so- Ah!! You found one too, Colette-san! That's great!

Conduits? Really? I guess if anything, maybe Lloyd would know more about stones and gems or such, with his work with Dirk and all.

[Working with his hands like that to make things like her pendants. Still, she does seem amused and to admire that Izuku is so passionate about such things. It isn't like she can immediately name something she was so interested and passionate about herself exactly.]

But yes! I did. I wonder how many there are, how many we might find if we keep looking a little longer.

[Izuku smiles. He notices that Colette really likes to talk about Lloyd and he hopes that someday her friend would be here too. He wouldn't mind meeting someone like Lloyd.]

I think we might be lucky if we can find a few more. Then we can take back what we found.

[He nods earnestly.]

You could ask Lloyd more about it if he comes here, ne?

Right! We can keep looking for a little longer at least. But ah, maybe. If he comes here too.

[Really. She's. Kind of obvious in her feelings for Lloyd. Even if she hasn't admitted it to Lloyd himself, for various reasons. Yet, anyway. She nods, her cheeks dusting with a light pink as she focuses on sifting her hands in the water to find another particular stone like that.]

[It's kind of funny because as much as she talks about Lloyd? Izuku doesn't realize it's probably a big crush. He's just as oblivious. He just thinks they must be great friends! Lloyd is her hero! And that's great!!]

You should keep one for him, that way if he does show up, it could be a welcome gift.

[She gives a nod of agreement to the idea, agreeing assuming they find enough at least enough for all of them. There was a reason they came here and all. So she isn't thinking that far ahead yet. If they catch enough then sure. She tries to ignore the slight heat at her face in favor of focusing on the task at hand.]

I'm still not sure if I hope he comes here or not.

[Izuku has no idea but if he met Lloyd in person he probably would put two and two together. The way Colette blushes, how much she talks about the boy. It's just nice.]

Ahh... Yeah, I guess that's something to think about, ne? As much as I miss some of my friends maybe it's not a great thing to hope for. But still, maybe just in case?

Just in case. Yes. That's not a bad idea.

[To try be prepared. At least as much as any of them could be. She isn't sure how she feels on that, but. Well. If Lloyd or any of the other shows up the least she could do is try help them in settling in and all. She can't help it either way. It isn't like she has any sort of control over it.]

[Izuku nods sheepishly. He goes back to sifting through the water and rock sediment carefully. He's not too sure how rare the holographic stones are but if they found what they have so far they might be lucky. A few more would be nice. Then they can finish up and head back.]

Yeah. Just in case...!

[While he doesn't really know how long they'll all be stuck here, he does wonder if it's okay to wonder about friends ending up here. He wants to help them if they do. At least, he's being trying to make something normal of his time here.]

[She does miss Lloyd. It can't hurt. To try be prepared in case he does show up. Colette tells herself that's not selfish. Or tries to. Continuing to sift through the rocks and such at the bottom of the water for any more of those particular rocks they might find.]

[Maybe these rocks are a little rarer than he first thought. Which is typical.]

Not here... Do you want to move to another second of the river?

Mm. We might have found them all in this area. Maybe we can check one more section before calling it for today?

[That they found this many proves there might well be more. She definitely wants to get enough for everyone that might like one, at least. If they can. So she isn't adverse to checking one more area of the river. Colette gives a nod to the idea, straightening and still trying to ensure she isn't getting her clothes wet in the process.]

Sure, that sounds good.

[Izuku nods quickly and stands up too. Taking a step down the river he almost slips before he flails his arms and keeps his balance. That was close!]

C-careful! [He's a little embarassed...] It's a little slippery...

Ah?

[Instinctively, she reaches towards him when he almost slips, seeing those flailing arms. But he seems to right himself in the end. Probably better than she could. She has to keep reminding herself she doesn't have her wings to catch herself if she trips here. It isn't like she had them that long back home but it still feels like something is missing all the same. She sighs in relief that he doesn't trip over into the water, giving a nod at his warning to be careful.

Which still probably doesn't stop her from also slipping even if she tries to be mindful of her footing and take it slow. Because it's Colette. As if anyone would expect anything less, her arms flailing to try help right her balance. It just takes her a moment.]

It really is!

Ah-!! I've got you-!

[Izuku is very swift at grabbing hold of her arm with a sturdy and gentle grasp! He wouldn't want her to slip! And honestly, she does seem a little bit like the clumsy type! When she's settled he'll let go. Izuku has his clumsy moments too but more often than not he manages to be coordinated.]

Careful...! There, I think we're okay.

[And just ahead there are a few sparkling gleams in the water that might be promising...]

Ah, thank you!

[She is a little sheepish but at least she is used to it. And he caught her so she didn't actually trip and get hurt this time. Colette is grateful for that. Given the number of times she was figuring tripping into walls and unintentionally creating tourist spots back home.]

Look, there's some more!

[Well after that one time she told him about how she fell and that other girl was out to kill her... but somehow that made her a friend? She's a force, that's for sure.

He nods earnestly and then sets over to that spot!]

Great-! There is! We'll collect these ones and then head back.

[Colette is a force of. Well, something. Something something clumsy and determined friendship? Sheena would probably be the better one to also ask about it in getting her view on how things went down. And how utterly bewildered she was about Colette's whole reaction to her attempting to assassinate the Chosen.

Still, Colette joins him in gathering more of the rocks, careful in her footing from then on as she gathers them in her tunic to carry back to the shore.]

Right! Just these ones.

There, we've got it. Let's head back. Thanks for working with me, Colette-san!

[With a pretty nice haul of stones as well. Izuku smiles and gathers up what they've collected into a bag to hand in. He'll split the rewards with her and in return, they're allowed to keep some of the holo stones for themselves too.

[She wouldn't have found as many without him after all. And would probably have tripped at least once in drenching herself in the process. So naturally she thanks him for helping and is fine with splitting the reward and all.]
