May Catch All!
⚔️️ WHAT: Dealing with frustration, healing, studying, and questing
🕒 WHEN: Throughout May
🗺️ WHERE: All over Camelot
⚠️ WARNINGS: blood and injury in Minotaur and Frustration prompts. Possible swearing and angry Homura
Library (pre-minotaur, but can be set during too):
Homura in a place like this? What has the world come to? Well, technically this did involve fighting. She had a small notebook, jotting down important details about the creature, even making a crude drawing; below average at best with lots of scribbles. After the fight with the Pelican, she didn't want to be caught off guard like that again. Details like this could be memorized over time. But with her training limited to the grounds, it would take a while before the info could stick.
Care to bother her?
Minotaur aftermath [locked to Kirishima, but post fight is open for any interactions/teasing her freakout]:
Everyone had the right idea in pursuing and fighting off the Minotaur. It seemed to try and attack Camelot from different vantage points, but each one had failed thanks to the many defenders beating it back. Even so, the bastard was persistent, stronger than Homura thought. She just kept on pursuing, making sure it never came back to disrupt the peace. Though just as she managed to blast it in the eye as it aimed for another person, it retaliated with surprising strength and speed. Homura only had time to raise her arms, ice forming before being launched into one of the boulders it still had around. And smash hard, for while her front survived the impact unscatched, the blow to her head and back...well she was knocked out from the ferocious impact. Any ice she formed as a makeshift shield shattered and melted less than a second later. She had felt humiliated, though her brain was slowly trying to piece back together. Body hurt so much now, she needed a potion or something.
Hopefully there was a healer among these people...
Frustration (post Minotaur):
Even Homura had her childish side. She just preferred not to snap at people like a certain other person. And training was usually the one thing that could be relied on. Back home, she could spend the entire day tiring herself out. And it was usually worth it since there was always progress.
Here though...she felt too weak. More muscle had been forming, and the control of her magic definitely improved. Yet the negative thoughts stuck around more than she wanted to admit. The minotaur and pelican made a normally suppressed thought balloon into something no longer manageable. And after going Berserker on her doppelganger, she was more motivated to make sure no one saw her stress relief method.
Which was going into the forest in the middle of the night, be isolated, and punch a tree. The training grounds, even at night, was far too risky. Once she made sure there was no around, blood magic not alerting her to anyone else nearby, she finally began. Hands were pushed against the tree, Homura slowly closing her eyes. Had to try an old technique Suzune tried to teach her.
The idea was to imagine the object as someone you reviled, to try and control your rage. Or at least learn from it, take note of how quickly your anger rose and find ways to improve yourself. Admittedly, this was done with other objects, but a tree would work given how depowered she was. Such was the case here, Homura recalling the doppelganger. Basically anger management image training.
How it mocked her, the pain it inflicted, the possibility of it actually winning and hurting others, all such thoughts clouded her mind. It wasn't just that though. Even before coming in, there were things she didn't want to remember.
And then….blank. There was nothing but darkness. Though once she opened her eyes, they widened at the sight.
Her hand was in the tree, bloodied, and the same blood forming a claw. The spot she tried to envision a face upon had been eviscerated. Not enough to bring down the tree, but anyone who suddenly popped into the area likely would have seen Homura punching and clawing at it like a violent animal, not helped with the grunts.
That was when she did realize someone was there. Slowly she turned to meet said person, trying to hide her hand and the crude hole she just punched into the poor tree. Realizing how stupid this was but a second later, her head turned away, eyes downcast.
"Look just….just pretend you didn't see this. I want to be alone."
Holo Rock - locked to Rose
The quests this month...she didn't want anything to do with the dark web. Nothing as interesting as last month. A burning building sounded too reckless, and she wasn't going to involve herself in a bunch of bloodline bullshit, especially with her own past. Yet this particular one, something about this girl's request made Homura want to help her. Not that she was willing to tell it to Rose just yet. For now, she just tried to pretend like nothing bothered her.
Still, even she had to whistle, impressed at the sight before them. So many rainbows, in addition to a bunch of fairies looking like they were having fun (and not being assholes), this looked even more beautiful than certain other areas she had been dragged to back home. Even for someone who seemed more attracted to fighting, she could appreciate such a sight.
But...they were on a time limit.
She looked at Rose. "So, did they have any other details about this rock? Just wanna make sure nothing crazy happens, like suddenly attracting lizard people."
After the minotaur, she didn't want anymore bullcrap. This was her relaxing quest and she was gonna take it.

[Got any other prompt ideas? Feel free to lemme know! Admittedly my brain is...well fried as hell thanks to work.]
