Quest: Holo, Goodbye

Mitsuhide was used to going on missions for the Oda Forces. Though, those missions were usually not for the faint of heart and had a fair amount of danger to them. Despite his willingness to do the Oda Forces dirty work, he didn't enjoy it. So when he saw the quest to collect a rock for an elderly woman, he decided it would be a welcomed change of pace. Though, out of habit, he wore his armor and kept his weapons on him. His pet fox and kitsune familiar running around at his feet.

It took him some time to get past the farm land, but once the farms were behind him, it was easy to see where his target was. It was like the water of the river was a rainbow itself. Nearby, one could see the fairies fluttering about. Definitely a sight that Mitsuhide never would have dreamed of.

After taking in the scene, he headed towards the water, since that was most likely where he was going to find a holographic rock.

Cookie Picking

Mitsuhide knew better than anyone else what war could do to those who were just caught in the cross fire. Though there were several options open, going to the orchard to pick cookies sounded silly and the most amusing to him.

So here he was, up in a tree with a basket, picking cookies. He had no plan on eating any of them. Sweets were wasted on him since he couldn't taste anything. He may give a couple to Chimaki and Sake, but the rest he planned on turning in. He definitely wasn't going to give any to Nobunaga. It was pretty clear that his lord didn't need anymore sweets.

New job?

One thing was for sure, Mitsuhide needed something to earn gold. Doing quests wasn't going to be enough. So, obviously it was time to get a job. And what better job for someone who has a talent for gathering information than a bartender? He had done something similar to it while working undercover in some enemy regions. Though, really all that involved was serving sake. There no such thing as mixed drinks back in his world. But the recipes for the mixed drinks were simple enough and he was given a "cheat sheet" until he can memorize them all.

Though when he first talked with the bar owner, Mitsuhide was confused when he was asked if he knew how to juggle. He grew even more confused at the owner's excitement when he answered "yes." Apparently, bartenders were also supposed to entertain the patrons, as well as serve them drinks. This was bound to be interesting.

Nobunaga is just helping you get tips. Totally.

"Balancing bottles on my head is not a requirement, my lord."

Says this all while juggling three bottle of some pretty expensive liquor. Needless to say, that had drawn a lot of attention.

"But juggling is?" HEAD TILT!

"It's suppose to mix the liquor well. Or so I've been told."

Manages to catch all three bottles and start pouring drinks.

"But really, it's just to add flair."

"So balance it on your head."

Better flair!

"Why do you want me to balance something on my head?"

He can do it, of course. He just didn't want to.

Nobunaga himself genuinely isn't sure yet. There's probably a reason, but he doesn't know it.

"It'll be cool!" Sparkle sparkle.

No, but really, he doesn't know either why he wants this so much.

"How about instead of balancing a bottle on my head, I do this?"

He mixes a drink in a tall glass, which was an order from a woman with her friends further down the bar. Instead of just walking the drink over to her, he places the glass on top of his head, balancing it there. Keeping his head leveled he walks over to the woman, gracefully though careful not to spill a drop.

Once in front of the woman and her friends, instead of taking the drink of his head and handing it to her, he kneels down so that she can take if off his herself. From the sounds of it, this thrills the group of women. Looks like he will being getting a nice tip from them.

Mitsuhide gets back up and gives the women a charming smile before going back to Nobunaga. "Well?"

"YAY!" he claps with delight! That's even BETTER! "That's my left hand!" Why is he so proud of this? WHO KNOWS?

"Any other requests, my lord? Or are you just hear to take up bar space?" He smirks some.

Nobunaga smirks back and takes a seat on a barstool -- which btw, are WAY better than the European chairs. Look some things about Europe he likes, but a bunch are stupid!

"The most complicated drink you can!" GAUNTLET THROWN (verbally).

For Leanne, every since she arrived here, she had preferred to stay out of the city as much as possible to be out in the country. Despite her fear and shyness towards humans, she had heard about the plight of the elder and wanted to help grant her that one last wish. With Rafiel by her side, she also went out on her small quest to help the elderly.

Perhaps it was chance or fate decided to mock her as Rafiel chirps at the sight of the two foxes and... nudges Leanne towards them.

"Rafiel quit it!!!" And because of her griffin, Leanne missed just who her familiar was pushing her towards.

Hopefully Mitsuhide can detect them before Leanne accidentally crashes into him.

He would have to be deaf if he didn't detect all that noise.

Mitsuhide was about to step into the river when he heard his foxes make such excited noises. He paused and turned to see Leanne being pushed towards him. With a chuckle his hands come up to catch her arms before she is pushed into him.

"Well well, the not tengu girl has come out." He makes sure she is steady on her feet before he let go of her arms. "What brings you out here?"

Cookie picking. This... This was something that a little nestling might have dreamed up. With a basket by her side, Leanne was idly and semi gracefully moving from branch to branch, harvesting cookies. Once a basket gets full enough, Rafiel would fly up to take it from her before bringing her a new empty basket.

It was pretty fun but after filling one, Leanne decided to take a break, panting a little from all the work she put in. She doesn't have a lot of stamina, so what?

Then a familiar scent came around and oh goddess.... Not him again. The embarrassing first meeting still plays on in her mind and remains fresh in her memories.

Leanne will have to squeal over his foxes later. At least until after she is done blushing and wanting to disappear on the spot. Especially when he catches her arms like that and her griffin moves to lay down near the foxes, watching them and trying to snap at their tails.

"I am a Heron, not this tengu." And, that was nice of him to make sure of that. "I wanted to help the elder find a rock... She seemed to be so sweet."

Mitsuhide was already working on his third basket. He heard rustling of branches nearby, but he paid it no mind. Either a bird had landed, or it was someone else picking cookies. He was more concern with keeping an eye out for the wasp nests anyway.

He sat, balanced on a branch as he reached up to pick two sugar cookies. Once he had them he looked down to the ground where his foxes were. "Sake! Chimaki! Catch!" Instead of putting the cookies in the basket he had with him, he tossed them down to his pet and familiar. He gave a real smile as he watched them catch the cookies and start munching on them. With a chuckle, he turned back to picking more cookies, still not paying any mind that someone may be close by.

Chimaki and Sake darted around and playfully yipped at that griffin.

Mitsuhide gave a chuckle and took a small step back. He knew that she didn't trust humans for whatever reason. "My apologies, Lady Heron. I have yet to learn your name so I cannot call you by that."

He turned back to the river and nodded. "I'm actually here for the same reason. I saw the quest on the smart phone device and decided to find a rainbow rock for her as well."

"I don't trust you with the most complicated drink." Mitsuhide knows that Nobunaga has a decent tolerance to sake, but he knows what can happen when his lord has too much. And most of the liquors at the bar were from the west, thus they were stronger than sake.

"How about I make you something that I know you will like. But you can only have one." Not because of the alcohol, but because of all the sugar in it.

"What?" Nobunaga started to pout, but his eyes lit up at the offer.

Fortunately, he is fooled by the only one to thinking it must be really strong. "Fine fine. Strut your stuff, Foxy. Even if you are acting an awful lot like a mother hen."

"It's actually a part of this job to make sure the patrons do not over do themselves." Mitsuhide stated as he turned to start mixing the drink. "Besides, the last thing I want is for you to use someone's head as a drum because what I served you was too strong." Yes he still remembered the whole head as a drum incident. How could he ever forget? At least this time there was a bar counter between them, thus it was unlikely for Nobunaga to get him in a headlock.

After a few minutes he turned back to Nobunaga with what appeared to be a red margarita. But instead of it being rimmed with salt, it looked like it was rimmed with some kind of candy instead. Mitsuhide was informed that the candy was known as "poprocks." He wasn't sure why they were called that since he never bothered to try them. But he knew that they were mostly made with sugar, so he knew the Demon King would most likely like it.

"Here you go, my lord," he said as he set the drink in front of Nobunaga.

Is he supposed to be ashamed about that? He isn't! He giggles. "Never let down your guard with the demon king," he murmurs before taking in the sugary drink.

Unsurprisingly, he loves it. THE COLOR IS INTENSE LIKE BLOOD! And yes, it's ridiculously sweet, even by Nobunaga's standard! So the intensity is severe enough to make up for (and completely mask!) the lack of alcohol. The texture is also what Nobunaga would expect from Mitsuhide's inability to taste. He can't taste flavors, but he compensates with texture, and the pop of it, like fireworks going off in his mouth, almost makes Nobunaga giggle all over again.

"I love it!" Unabashed, red lips like a little kid! "What's it called?"

Forgot to say, Cookie Picking

"All right all right, you do not need to shove at me!"

It seemed like Mitsuhide wasn't alone in picking cookies off of the local flora. A petite redhead was being pushed along by what appeared to be a horse with one horn, said horse being careful to make sure its horn was sliding between the red head's arm and torso. Adela herself couldn't help a sigh in exasperation, though there was the slightest hint of a smile as she leaned back to pet down its neck once it stopped pushing.

"I suppose you want a few of these for your-hmm?"

Adela got distracted by the little white fox near one of the trees, and without much hesitation she walked forward, crouching a few feet away as she looked at it, "Well, you seem unusual. Are you by yourself, little one?"

Not that she was expecting an answer, but still. She'd never seen a fox with a white coat before... Maybe that was another mystical creature from this place, like her unicorn.

Mitsuhide wasn't surprised that Nobunaga would like the drink. There was enough sugar in it after all.

"It's called a 'Pop Rocks Margarita.' The main liquor used in it is something called tequila." He didn't know much about liquor that didn't come from Japan. He knew about rum, whisky, and the wines that the foreigners had brought with them. But tequila was something completely new. What he was told, was that it was quite strong. There was apparently some joke about falling to the floor after having four cups, or "shots" which was apparently the right term, of the stuff. There was also something about a worm, but he didn't understand that one. As far as he could see, there wasn't a worm in the bottle.

"You've got something interesting on special here?"

Masamune was grinning as he seated himself at the bar, seeming to be entertained by the show Mitsuhide was giving. Granted, he knew the place served booze, but he wasn't going to distrust the food at least. Might be worth seeing if it was any good, if nothing else.

Mitsuhide heard the girl with the strange horse approach, and looked down from his perch up in the tree. It seemed the girl had taken an interest in Chimaki, who was currently munching on a cookie that was on the ground. Sake was on the other of the tree out of the line of sight for the redhead.

He sat back on the branch he was on, his back against the trunk of the tree. This was bound to be amusing to watch.

Chimaki looked up at girl, her tail wagging some, as she made the 'hehehe' noises that foxes made. Meanwhile, Sake had came back around the tree, and was now behind the girl. Suddenly the three tailed kitsune ran to her, jumped on her back in order to volt over her. Once he landed, he ran to Chimaki, turned to the girl, crouched on the ground, and gave a foxy like laugh with all three of his tails waving playfully in the air.
