You know how devastating the weapons can be. I always thought it strange they don't have guns here, but there could be a reason for that.
[Might be a strange question since he already offered up his bullets to study, but given how this world has magic and is somewhat similar to his own, it really would be just a matter of time. Not to mention he knows he's not the only gun user here who have bullets with them.
The question is who develops them and for what purpose. Obviously guns are a weapon and weapons only have one intent regardless of the motivations behind it: to kill. And Eustace is fully aware of what it would mean to develop a new weapon in a world without them. There's also the problem of...all the kinds of people around, but it's not like people aren't already armed, be it weapons or magic. At least Nobunaga feels he's... ... ... Well he's not Eustace's enemy, anyway. Still, even if he would benefit from this, it's only reasonable to be cautious.]
