[1] Training Grounds (OTA)

[ Truth be told, even though the truth of her situation had sunk in... it was still hard to process. For one, what was she supposed to do now? Quests?

Well, it'd be making herself useful, at least... though she's not sure about the combat quests. People here don't solve things with duels, after all... so instead, here she is at a training ground with a variety of different practice weapons, her familiar, and nothing much else. She's already managed to practice a lot with her Healing Magic, but besides that... she's not really well-versed in self-defense.

Sure, she's athletic, acrobatic, and able to backflip four times in a row... but that hasn't stopped her from getting kidnapped repeatedly back home.

Right now, the stuff she's had the most comfort using has been the sword and the spear/staff/whatever it was... though it's not like she was using either properly. The most she could really do was spin/twirl either weapon in one hand since she was dextrous enough to do things like that. Still, that didn't mean much in terms of actually using them...

She looks like she could use a teacher. ]

[2] Bunny Pile (OTA, Quest)

[ This is officially the second time Yuzu has been smothered by animals since she's arrived here. The plan was simple... just go casually to every cafe and try to find Sir Fuzzlerton.

But... they were all so cute, and they were oddly attracted to her? She had just sat down to relax for a moment and have a drink, but now... ]

...at least this is nicer than baby dragons.

[ Currently, she's unable to move. How could she? She has so many bunnies smothered on top of her, and it frankly feels like she'd be committing some kind of crime if she tried to move with all of them on top of her.

She figures someone else will find Sir Fuzzlerton and decides to just... relax at the Cafe instead. ]

Training Grounds

[When Ken got the message to meet up with Yuzu in the training grounds, he wasted no time in making his way to here. Based on what she said, all he had to do was look for someone with pink hair right? While he eventually made his way to the place, he looked around to see a girl with said hair color.

Once he did? Did he just see her do a couple of backflips like it was nothing?]

Excuse me, are you Yuzu-san?

[ Yuzu turns to face him, letting out a breath after the backflips she just pulled off. ]

Yep, that's me.

[ She says it cheerfully, eyeing him. He had brown hair, so... ]

...you wouldn't happen to be Ken, are you?

[whatsamada]

Yes, that's correct.

[He said pointing to the dog under him. In return, he gave a bark before sitting down.] And this is Koromaru. I'm glad to finally meet you in person!

[However, on that note?] Although, I'm kind of surprised to see you doing a bunch of backflips like it's nothing.

Aw, hello Koromaru!

[ She kneels down to pet Koromaru, provided that he'll let her. In any case, she looks back up at Ken. ]

Same here! Oh, those? It's something I have a lot of practice in, so...

[ She smiles nervously, scratching her cheek. Maybe she was showing off a bit too much? ]

[He gave a long pause before speaking up.]

I'm assuming you're already trained as a fighter?

[Because how else can she do them anyway??]

A fighter? Well...

[ In a way, yes... she was a duelist, after all. But duels weren't exactly used here... magic and weapons were. ]

Not exactly, I just know acrobatics. It's something I've done my whole life, after all.

It’s still something impressive! I know I can’t ever do anything like that!

[He said before chuckling]

I’m kind of envious myself.

It takes a lot of dedication, that's for sure!

[ It's easy for her to forget actually that most people can't pull stuff like that off... too much time spent in a dimensional war. ]

Still, I could use more than just acrobatics while I'm here, but... [ She glances back at the wooden practice weapons. ] I can't exactly teach myself anything.

Then maybe I can show you a thing or two about fighting.

[He said before gesturing the spear in his hand.] I will admit, I never really fought anyone how to fight before but I can try my best to show you.

[With that, he shifted his weight a little before pointing to the wooden weapons nearby.] I guess you can choose which one you think is best and we'll go from there.

Bunnies!

There's...so many bunnies...

[Eyes wide, staring at all of the buns. She's a little jealous, but honestly, who wouldn't be jealous seeing a pile like that?]

bunnies!!

Are you good there?

[ And here comes a Naoto, trying to get a good look at the Yuzu now smothered in bunnies. ]

You don't look like you are.

[songstressedout]

[ Yuzu tilts her head ever so slightly when she hears someone else arrive. She has one bunny on her head, after all, and she doesn't want it to fall off. ]

Ha... there really is, isn't there?

[ She's fairly certain at least half of them have fallen asleep in her lap. ]

[ Yuzu smiles sheepishly as Naoto arrives. ]

I mean, it's just bunnies... it could be worse.

[ They're certainly good at clinging to any piece of fabric they can find on her, though... she's fairly certain that at least half of the buns are asleep as well. ]

Fair enough.

[ Naoto laughs as he starts to lift the sleeping bunnies off of her as gently as possible. He doesn't want to wake up the small babies, after all. ]

Still, I would hope you'd want to stay bunny free.

[ He isn't a teacher in combat—far from it, really—but Alphinaud is likewise present. Like many others, he has new magicks to master, and he's been rather diligent about it; still, it doesn't yet come easily to him, if the quiet hiss under his breath and the fizzling fireball over the palm of his hand are anything to go by. For now, it isn't as if he's ignoring Yuzu practicing her swordsmanship not terribly far off, but they are both focused on practicing their respective skills.

The same can't be said for a certain familiar. A carbuncle has snuck away and curiously approaches Yuzu, apparently not fazed at her swinging around a weapon, and announces its presence with a quick trill. ]

They're so cute...

[She's going to cautiously get a little closer - with surprisingly stealthy footsteps. She didn't want to wake the sleeping bunnies after all!]

How did you even attract this many?

[ She's impressed with how quiet she is... none of the bunnies even stir. ]

I'm not sure, to be honest? I just sat here and then one came over... and then another... and another...

[ And so on and so forth, leading to Yuzu's current bunny-smothered state. In any case, she can tell that this girl is looking at them fondly, so... ]

Feel free to take some off me... I don't think I can move.

[ It felt criminal to disturb the lazy buns, after all. ]

Ah...

[ She puts down the wooden weapon and kneels down in front of the Carbuncle, tilting her head curiously at it. ]

Hello... are you somebody's familiar...?

[ Yuzu's own familiar, a small baby-version of Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, noticed the Carbuncle getting attention from Yuzu, prompting it to run over and forcibly nudge Yuzu from the side... which causes her to fall over while she's kneeling. ]

A-Ah...!

[ Well, she's got two familiars here now, she supposes. ]

Hah... I'd appreciate it...

[ She picks up the staff for now, since it felt a bit more natural... though mostly because it's something she can twirl around a bit easier. ]

Well, I'm technically trying to find a specific rabbit named Sir Fuzzlerton... but even with all of these guys, I still haven't found him.

[ Still, she appreciates him removing some of the bunnies. They're incredibly docile, not really seeming to care if they're moved provided that they aren't moved too far away... a bunch of lazy buns, really. ]

[ That she does!

With a squeak and catlike grace, the carbuncle hops back when the dragon pushes her over, but then tilts its head, and quite literally decides to climb upon Yuzu to sniff at the dragon up close.

Meanwhile, there's a voice—it comes from that other guy who's been minding his own business up until now, calling out from a short distance away: ]

—Carbuncle? Where have you run off to this time...?

That would be a good one! I'm pretty familiar with a lot of my friends using a long ranged weapon so it'll be perfect for sparring!

[He said before realizing something.]

By the way, how well do you know how to use a staff?

Well, depends on how Sir Fuzzleton looks like. Is there anything special looking about him?

[ Naoto looks at every bunny he lifts up, just in case he might pick up the very bunny she was looking for. ]

Not sure if this two-timing—I mean, Sir Fuzzlerton has a description, SO

Hm... apparently it has darker fur around it's eye that almost looks like a monocle?

[ Not exactly the most apt description ever... but also not a lot of bunnies have monocle fur, so... ]

[While not an expert on the polearm, Irhya is well-versed in the blade, even if it happens to be smaller than what she's comfortable with. The one upon her back looks like it probably weighs more than she does, and is definitely taller when stood upright next to her.

She ends up watching Yuzu from the side for a time, studying her stances and how she's trying to use the blade. After a while, she gets up and approaches her, looking thoughtful; it turns out, once she gets closer, that Yuzu is the taller one.

...Figures.]
