Never, ever, give your name to a fae if it asks for it, and especially not your full name. That's how it can control you. That there are rules you have to follow when encountering a fae creature.

If a fae asks 'will you give me your name' or 'can I have your name', they're literally asking to take it. You can be wily and respond like I did by saying 'I'll tell you my name' but...that might make them mad, and always use a nickname or a fake name.
