Though as a child, he was raised as a young master in the capital, that way of living was swiftly cut short. He's lived most of his adult life in a state of privation, eating golden sand in the Northwest; or, more recently, racing back and forth across the country, lucky to have time to drink even a bowl of plain water. A cup of tea, conscientiously prepared like this, is a luxury regardless of its preparation. Naturally he mentions none of this, instead simply lifting his cup and smelling the aroma. After a moment, he takes a careful sip as if he were a connoisseur. Then he lifts his eyes and smiles.
